I love the way Amelia narrates! It leaves a lot to mystery but never so much I'm totally confused.

I also definitely entertained the idea that Amelia's mother was Rita Skeeter for a bit when her name was mentioned because of how much ruthlessness they seem to share. I think Rita Skeeter is a bit too old at this point, though.

Author's Response: Amelia begins to find more of her voice as the story goes on, but at the same time, she also leaves some things out. Maybe she doesn't realize that she's doing this, or maybe she doesn't want to rely some information (for whatever reasons). As the story progresses, more clarity will be shed!

As for Rita Skeeter, it's a coincidence in the wizarding world that she and Amelia's mum share the same name. However, I thought that witches sharing names only solidifies the wizarding culture in the HP universe. :)
