During the fight in the Department of Mysteries, Hermione lost both her memory and voice. While her memory was eventually restored, her voice was not. At the end of sixth year, Hermione starts getting strange premonitions – ones that involve the falling of Hogwarts and rising of Voldemort – and realizes that her friends have been receiving them too. She soon figures out they are pieces of a puzzle, the answer to the entire war.
