"...It had been three years that I had worn this cursed locket. It was cursed to, I was sure it was. What else would cause these haunting memories of him to reappear in my dreams. I couldnt' take it off either. He had placed some sort of locking charm on it. "so any other guy will know you're mine." he had whispered. I had liked the idea at the time. Now it cursed me daily.

“They all seemed nice…that Draco boy is a character.” I hinted slightly, looking at her sideways. She sat up, her face tense.
“Yes, I know he’s handsome-” I tried to tell her that hadn’t been what I had meant but she continued obliviously. “Stay away from him, Emmy. There’s a lot about him you don’t know…we don’t know. Everyone’s suspicious of him whether they show it or not…but Harry’s determined-” she cut off looking frustrated, then turned to face me.
“I’m not going to worry you with the details. I’m still not sure if it was the best idea for you to come to me instead of the orphanage.”
I shivered. I had never before had to worry about living in an orphanage as a possibility. It was naïve I guess, but I had always thought of my parents as invincible. Not the superhero kind, but the ‘my parents aren’t the type of parents who die’ kind.
