It was day, and golden light streamed into the Hall through the broken windows as well as a hole in the far wall. Rubble and debris covered portions of the floor though Mr. Filch, the school’s caretaker, had been working to move as much to the side as possible. The tables in the Hall had returned and most of the students had grouped together with their families and day-to-day friends. Everything seemed at ease and even quite peaceful.
