It is 20 years since the epilogue of the seventh book. By now, the Wizards, under the direction of Kingsley Shacklebolt, have revealed themselves to Muggles, hoping to establish a world in which they can live together in harmony. But that world has come crashing down. A mere 9 years after the reveal, the world goes broke. A Muggle named Mark Ferdinand has risen to power by claiming it is the union with the Wizarding world that has done this. And so the Great War begins, creating a ruined earth. The Wizard's greatest fear is now a mysterious man, known only by his black trench-coat and fedora.
