As the Golden Trio enter their final year at Hogwarts, an accident occurs, ending with Hermione Granger's death. As the school grieves for the Head Girl's absence, Draco Malfoy carries on as though nothing is amiss. But unbenounced to the rest of the school, Hermione's ghost lives on to haunt the last place she occupied in her life--and the last person to see her in her final moments--Draco Malfoy. With unlimited time on her hands, Hermione vows to solve the mystery surrounding her death, persuading Draco to aid in her efforts, as he is the only student capable of seeing her ghost.
