The story begins in the summer before the trio's fifth year at Hogwarts. A new Auror is inducted into the ranks of the Order of the Phoenix, and Snape is certain she'll do nothing but cause trouble- and he should know, she used to be his student! When he's asked (or rather, forced) to train her up for a mission, he quickly learns that she cannot produce a corporeal patronus, nor does she know how to do Occlumency! What a headache.
