|1||At a Loss
From the moment that you allowed yourself to feel these feelings, you began the countdown to the day when the loved one would no longer be around.
|2||Dreams and Conciousness
My waking mind did not remember the substance of the memories, only the vague sense of loss that accompanies random flashes of a lost memory, but asleep, I revelled in them. I could remember every detail. It was as if real life and dreaming had become inverted.
All that was left was desolation.
"It's all too soon before they're gone."
Lorcan would have wanted me to be strong.
“I'm sorry for everything, and for this.”
I wanted to put my mind at rest.
And for a moment, I was happier than I had ever been.
"I’ve had my fill of unrequited love, and you think I wouldn’t recognise it?”
"You'd be his killer."
“Lysander messed everything up.”
How dare he.
It was suddenly all very real.
Perhaps he’ll even murder someone. It wouldn’t be the first time.
Lorcan was so much more than my lover. He was that and he was my best friend.
She always wanted a perfect marriage, and now she would have it. Yet it was so close to being disrupted by a certain blond man and his drunken outbursts.
"From this day forward until death do us part."
This was it. It was time.
I was crying freely now. I didn’t know when it had started. I didn’t care.
Lorcan was taken from me far too early, so we would have never turned into a couple like that.
I know everything.
He was wrong. Something was wrong.
I also hated red carnations.
“Dom. We should talk. You’re not… right. Something’s different.”
They had a perfect life and a perfect love and I didn’t. I was jealous.
Maybe they were going to kill me.
He looked like the monster I had become.
You shouldn't forget about him.
He was back.
They definitely weren't tears.
It lasted one short moment. One short breath.
Maybe I wasn't so alone.
His fate was entirely in my hands.
All I knew was that it had been a mistake.
Someone had come to save me.
