They died on the night of the Halloween Ball. We were so confident that nothing would happen, that we hadn't thought twice about protecting ourselves more that night. I was only 18 and I was watching everyone around me die. At least I was able to preserve my three closest friends' bodies.

I wasn't sure where I was, all that I knew was there was no way for me to get out without some help. But then The Dark Prince appeared in my cell. He gives me food, answers my questions with the smallest amount of information. He also took me outside, in the Garden of Remembrance, at least thats what he called it. I'm not sure why its called that though....

I still have no idea what to do. I can't decide if I want to trust the Dark Prince completley or if I want to just run away. He has something about him that makes me pity him, but it's all so confusing. Lord Voldemort's own mutterings don't help me any. If only I knew everything...

"As I was reading as he wrote, a noise behind us made both of us jump, and his quill went down the page, ruining the rest of the page. Standing up quickly, he shoved the journal into a hole in the front of the chair, the opening disappearing. Facing the person, I turned around slowly, afraid of what I would see."

"Leaning up, I looked around groggily, and noticed groups of people marching beside the cart and children in the cart. The children looked at me strangely and I patted my hair to make sure there wasn’t any straw stuck in it randomly. Feeling nothing, I looked around once more, and sighed as I didn’t see The Dark Prince. At that point in time, I would have been thrilled to see Lord Voldemort, anything normal besides people I didn’t know. I accepted the fact that I didn’t though, and commenced to studying the people around me."

As I hummed the part over again, something hit me in the back of the head, and I turned around to see what it was. Throwing my hands over my mouth, I screamed as I saw a disembodied hand laying on the edge of the wagon. Looking up, my eyes came into direct contact with the one person that should have never been there.

“I’m not broken Granger.” He said gruffly, but I couldn’t help but see a smile on his face that seemed to linger one way. I felt my face burn rapidly; amazed that he could even joke at a moment like this. I felt the girl squirm out of my arms and as I watched, she had attached herself to his leg...
