“Marissa’s up there,” she said turning to face Sirius.

“All of us girls want to be pampered,” she said, then stood up, “I’m assuming you are going to tell James and the others about this?”

“So, what are we doing up here again?” she asked.
“Snogging,” Sirius laughed, pushing her so she was sitting on the rickety steps of the Shrieking Shack.

“You okay, mate?” James asked, “You’ve been watching Melody all day.”

“Yeah, but Sirius, you look at her differently,” Remus spoke up.

“You know you want it,” Kyle said moving down to her neck again.

“He is truly the most amazing boy to ever enter my life.”

“Leave me alone,” Melody said glaring at her ex-best friend.

“You think Sirius is in love with me!” Melody accused. Lily did not try to play innocent, just smiled slightly and shrugged.

“But you know what’s worse then a cold-hearted bitch? A bitch with a broken-heart"

It was just the fact that they pretended, flirted, and were always together that made them more, boarding on the line between friendship and love. Scared to cross over and scared to not.

“Curiosity killed the cat,” Sirius warned, his mouth suddenly dry and heart beating loudly in his chest.

“You are the one that suggested this,” he said, sounding a bit annoyed.

“If you were in love with her,” James clarified, “I wouldn’t be mad."

“James, I think I love her,” Sirius finally blurted just as Mr. Potter walked in.

“I want them to be punished!” Mrs. Black shrieked.

“So, have you told Sirius yet?” he asked. Melody looked up at James curious, raising an eyebrow and frowning.
