They walked around the castle stoping at the lake watching as ripples appear where fire crabs come up for bugs to eat. Hermione sat down on a boulder near the edge of the water and hugged her knees as Harry sat down next to her. Hermione sighed and stared at the moon.
"Remember when we first met?"she said breaking the silence.
"Yeah, I couldnt take my eyes off of you. You were so pretty." He said and before he could stop himself. "Just like you are now."
Hermione grinned and said with a gleam in her eyes " Yeah right. I am not that pretty, if I am pretty at all.."
"You are right...you arent pretty" he said as he looked up at the stars. "Your absolutly beautiful"
"And your crazy!" she said slapping lightly on the back of the head." I mean that too!"
"Mione...did you ever notice how when you walked down the hall I always watched? and how when we sat in the great hall I sat I sat across from you?" He asked quizzically.
"Kind of..I just thought I was weird....so what?" she said a little lounder than a whisper.
"Well... When you walked down the halls I stopped because I forgot everything but you. And I sat across from you so I could look at you without snapping my next from looking sideways all the time..." He said with a slight grin
"Harry, what are you trying to say?" She said letting go of her knees.
Harry turned to her and said "Mione...I love you...I always have." He then leaned in a kissed her lips lightly and pulled back...He watched the expressions on her face change from confusion to shock to happiness.
"I love you too." She whispered, They got up and as she put her hand in his they traveled back to the castle.
