The dark, hooded figure loomed above him. With a cold, evil laugh he said, “You have beaten me too many times. I have been worst than death. I have killed more people then you have met. You will not defeat me this time, do you hear me?”
He brought his wand down in front of him. “Crucio!”
The boy screamed and writhed in pain on the cold floor. It seemed like forever when the pain stopped and all he could hear was his screams echo around the dungeon.
“You are worthless to me, Potter.” He stated, twirling both wands around his long fingers. “Worthless. Which is why I shall kill you now – what I have wanted to do for the past seventeen years. You know, Potter – you may even see you’re parents again.”
The strength the boy thought he had lost was back. Hatred and fury filled his body and his head became clear. He knocked a surprised Voldemort off his feet and grabbed his wand.
Pointing his wand at the figure, he yelled the next words with pure hatred and fury in his voice: “Avada Kedavra!”
Ella Weasley woke with a start, breathing heavily. Sweat glistened on her forehead, and her clothes were soaked. Her mind was full of images of Voldemort meeting his end. It had seemed so real, so vivid, that Ella could still feel the pain that ached her bones. She remembered every detail of the dream that Ella was convinced it was true.
Ella was the oldest and only daughter of Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. She looked like a younger version of Hermione, except for the fact that Ella’s hair was straight and shiny. Ella had Hermione’s brains and Ron’s Quidditch talent – only she didn’t know it yet.
Noticing it was morning, she slowly got out of bed and opened the curtains. Ella gasped; a barn owl was perched on the windowsill, with a letter tied to its leg.
“The Hogwarts letter!”
She opened the window and the owl hopped inside. Ella quickly tore open the letter. It read:
Dear Miss. Weasley,
We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on 1st of September at Platform 9 and ¾.
Ella gave a scream of delight – she got in! The door opened and Ella’s parents, Hermione and Ron walked in.
“Are you all right?” Hermione asked anxiously, looking around. “We heard a scream.”
Ella couldn’t speak. Instead, she held up the Hogwarts letter with a smile on her face. They both rushed forward and hugged Ella.
“I’m so proud of you!” Hermione said softly.
“We should get you a present,” Ron realized. “Maybe a broom, or an owl?”
Ella looked at her parents hopefully. “How about a racing broom?”
Hermione bit her lip. “We’ll go to Diagon Alley this afternoon to get your supplies and maybe a broom.”
Ella nodded gratefully. “Thanks you guys. You’re the best.” She was already imagining which broom she’d buy and couldn’t wait for her first fly on a broom. Ron and Hermione had always said they’d get her a broom when Ella was accepted into Hogwarts. Now she had been, Ella was practically hyperventilating.
“And another thing…” Ron looked his daughter in the eye. “Why did you scream?”
Ella told her parents every detail of the dream and added that it felt real. She explained waking up and feeling in pain, as if the Cruciatus Curse had been used while she was asleep. Ella found it hard not to notice Ron and Hermione’s frightened looks as she talked.
Ron looked at Hermione uncertainly. “It seems like you were dreaming about when Harry defeated Voldemort…but we never told you all the details…”
Hermione looked back at Ron and said in a low voice, “Call an Order meeting tonight, here. It’s important – I think I may have an idea what’s going on.”
Ron gave a strained smile. “In the meantime, why don’t we have breakfast?”
A few minutes later Ella was at the table eating the pancakes Hermione had prepared. Her Mum and Dad were in the next room, talking in hushed voices. Hermione had put an Enforcement Charm on the door, so Ella couldn’t eavesdrop.
Ella sighed. She wished she knew what was going on. She wished her parents would tell her what the dream meant, if Voldemort was back from the dead and if someone had placed the Cruciatus Curse on her while she was asleep. Ella remembered how Ron said that was how Voldemort died– everything that had happened in the dream was true. Every detail.
A/N: Sorry for such a short first chapter. I’ll introduce a lot more characters in the next few chapters…including the Malfoys. Please review! Also, this story is also on MuggleNet...
