Ginny POV-

I felt warm. I felt happy. My dreams were sweet and I thought I would be able to feel this way forever, and never, ever move from this spot. I opened my eyes. I was in my Percy’s room in his bed. There were beams of light pouring through the window, welcoming a new day. The air smelt sweet. I turned to my other side only to see a pair of bright blue eyes staring back at me.

“Morning gorgeous.” Draco said.

“Morning.” I said as I snuggled further under the covers and closer to him. “How long have you been up?”

“About an hour. I’ve been watching you sleep.”

I kissed his chest, which my head was conveniently laying on. We stayed like that for a few minutes, until Draco broke the comfortable silence.

“So…no regrets about last night?” He asked sweetly.

I shook my head against his chest.

“I didn’t hurt you did I?” He asked, his voice now filled with concern.

I chuckled slightly. “No,” I said, “it was just…perfect.”

Glancing at the clock and noticing it was well past nine, I thought what a pretty picture this would be to walk in on, as the rest of the family would be waking soon. I picked up my wand from the bedside table and gave a quick flick of my wrist. The bedroom door opened long enough for a towel to come zooming in from the bathroom. I wrapped it neatly around myself and stood up from the bed.

“Draco, Love, I’m going to get a shower now, and I suggest you do the same.”

He smiled mischievously and climbed out of bed as well, taking the sheets with him. “Can’t I come with you?” He pouted. He pulled me closer to him, and knowing that there was only a towel and a sheet separating us was arousing, and I could hardly ever resist that face.

“Just because I had sex with you does not mean that you get the privilege of showering with me as well.” I pointed out. “The whole point of taking a shower is to get clean, remember?”

He smiled a charming smile and let me go. I kissed him on the cheek and snuck out of his room and into the bathroom. As I was leaving the room I saw Draco take the chain with my chastity ring on it and slide it over his head.

No POV

December past quickly, and if you didn’t know better, you would think that everyone at the Burrow had been good old friends since they first met. There was a warm spirit in the air, along with the smells from the kitchen, where Mrs. Weasley spent most of her time baking.

Love was also thick in the air. Mrs. and Mr. Weasley loved everyone there. Draco loved Ginny, Ginny loved Draco, Hermione loved Ron, and Ron loved Hermione. It was evident to all that this was the happiest time of the year for the five Hogwarts students, or so it seemed to everyone. Draco was even planning on proposing to Ginny on Valentine’s day.

On the last day of the break, before they were to return to Hogwarts, they all had a great feast prepared by Mrs. Weasley. They all went to bed tired and full. They had packed the previous night, so that they could enjoy their last bit of freedom before the professors piled on extra work, so that they would be prepared for the end of the year tests.

The ride on the Hogwarts Express was as uneventful as ever, until Harry asked to speak to Ginny in private. Draco was skeptical, but let her go. They found an empty compartment and sat across from each other. Harry remained quite until Ginny nervously cleared her throat. He snapped out of his reverie and spoke.

“I just wanted to say that I’m glad that you’re happy with him Ginny, and-” he looked almost pained to say it, “even though you aren’t with me, I’m still glad. But I do have to be selfish for just a moment and ask you a question.”

Ginny nervously ran a hand through her vibrant red hair. “Yes?” She asked quietly.

“You used to like me right?”

“Yes.” She said and she dropped his gaze to look down at the floor.

“Well, what made you stop?” His voice was level, but his eyes were almost pleading.

Ginny thought a moment, as if she didn’t understand the question. What had made her stop? “I don’t really know. There were so many reasons,” she replied, “you never really saw me as anything but Ron’s little sister, and you were too busy for me anyway.”

He cleared his throat and asked hesitantly, “and-and it’s too late now?”

“It’s too late now.” She repeated. “I’m sorry.”

To her surprise he smiled softly. She looked at him queerly. He laughed at the expression on her face. “S’alright, Gin, as long as your happy, I’m happy. But I can still love you like a sister right?”

He embraced her in a tight hug. “Right.” She muttered against his shoulder.

He left her standing there and headed back to the compartment. Ginny was in disbelief. Guys are very strange, she thought.

As the days slowly crept by into February, the love between Ginny and Draco grew stronger. No one had seen him or her happier, and so, even though their friends were enemies, no one said a word. But would their love be strong enough to survive the ultimate test?

Ginny POV-

It was a dark night, and storms were sweeping in from the east. The castle was dark and cold. Maybe I as just paranoid, but it seemed that there were things lurking in the corners. Probably just rats. I was on my way back to the common room. It was really late, and I had been in the library finishing homework with the invisibility cloak that Harry had let me borrow.

I could hear the rain pelting against the roof of the castle, and see the stormy black clouds outside the water-splashed windows. Normally I loved the rain, but this was dark and cold, and gave me a feeling of being alone. That is why I wanted to get to the common room and see Draco.

My eyes were narrow as I headed down the last corridor. I could have sworn that I saw the portrait door closing. The hallway was pitch-black, so it could have just been a trick of the eye. Lightning struck outside and illuminated the hallway for a few seconds, helping me to find my way back. I climbed through the portrait of the old wizard in blue after whispering the password.

Draco was sitting on the couch, by the fire, with a book in his hand. The portrait door swung closed behind me, catching his attention. He smiled at me warmly, but said nothing. I crossed the room and sat next to him.

“Bad weather.” I said.

“Sure is.” He agreed. His voice was a bit higher than usual. I furrowed my eyebrows in concern.

“You alright?” I asked while leaning over to kiss him. Big mistake.

Without saying a word, he captured my lips aggressively and pushed me on my back hard, so he was on top of me. I kissed him back, thinking that maybe I was just imagining things, or maybe that I just never noticed how forward he was. But his kiss seemed…different, in a way that I couldn’t explain. Something must have been wrong with me. He kissed me for about ten minutes before smoothly sliding his hand up my leg, over my hips, and up my shirt. His hands were greedy, not loving, and roamed all over. I kept my eyes shut, and went along with it, but surely he wouldn’t go that far in the common room.

But something began to change. It felt like Draco’s body began to change. I knew now that I was imagining things, but still. His hair felt thicker, and shorter, and his body longer and not a broad. Again I ignored it until I heard a familiar voice from behind me exclaim, “What the Hell?”

I broke the kiss to look and see whom it could have been, but instead of having Draco laying on top of me, I saw Harry, and Draco was behind me, mouth open, eyes filled with fury and pain. What had just happened?
