[So this chapter is rather short, but I couldn't really think of anything more happening in this one. It's more like a filler and to get their relationship starting. Anyways, enjoy reading it and maybe leave a review? Thanks :)

Song by Chester See – Falling for you]

A few days later. Hermione sat in her new flat above her favorite bookstore, reading Hogwarts: A History for the umpteenth time.
Outside it was raining heavily, so she decided to stay inside for the day with her favorite book.
She was so lost in her book that she didn’t notice the owl sitting on the windowsill next to her until it began to screech impatiently.
“Oh I’m so sorry!” she exclaimed, immediately standing up to let the owl in.

She didn’t recognize the owl at first, so she quickly took the letter from the owl and gave her a few treats before she started reading.

Dear Hermione,

I was wondering if you’d be free on Friday? A new restaurant opened in Diagon Alley and I’d hoped that you’d be willing to join me for dinner?
I enjoyed myself immensely on our last meeting and I really want to see you again, so this time I’m inviting you directly.
Please send me an owl if you agree to join me.

Blaise

I don't wanna tell you that I long to see your face
I'm scared it might scare you away
and I don't wanna tell you that sometimes I think of you and smile
cause time with you is time enough for now

Hermione smiled and immediately rushed to get her quill and a piece of parchment and started to write her response.
Dear Blaise,

I’d be delighted to meet you on Saturday. I, too, liked spending the evening with you, and it really helped clearing my head.

Hermione

She tied the letter to the owl that was still sitting on her counter, looking at her expectedly.
“Here you go, sweetie” she said to the beautiful owl, “you know to whom to send this, don’t you?” The owl hooted in agreement, so Hermione send her off to get her answer to Blaise.

But I don't know how long I can stick around and be
just another friend time and time again and hold my tongue.
I don't know how long before it breaks me down inside
and all my strength has gone away, and it's too late before I say
I'm falling for you

Friday, 16:00 p.m.

“Hey, why in such a rush?” Draco asked, standing in her office door, smiling slightly.
“Oh, hey Draco. I have to get home, Blaise invited me to dinner at that new restaurant that’s just opened up in Diagon Alley and I have to get ready.” Hermione answered.
The smile on Draco’ s face immediately turned into a frown.
“Blaise as in Blaise Zabini? How come you’re meeting him for dinner? It’s not like you were on your best terms before, what have I missed?” he inquired.
Hermione blushed, having realized her slip.
“Well … actually we met at a small pub a few days ago and we had a really nice time, so he wrote to me yesterday, asking if I had plans for today and I agreed to meet him at 7:30.”
“Oh … well then … have a nice evening” Draco said, turning around and leaving Hermione standing there, unsure of what to do.

I'm trying hard to be myself but I always seem to fail
I'm afraid I'm not the guy you know so well
cause every time I'm near you I just, I seem to lose my head
and spend my time admiring instead.

At 7:30 sharp Hermione heard a knock at her door.
A smile crept up on her face and she opened her door to reveal Blaise in a white shirt and dark blue jeans, looking marvelous.
“Hi” she said shyly.
“Good evening Hermione. You look ravishing, if I dare say so” Blaise answered, throwing one of his smiles that could make every girl’s knees go weak.
“Thank you, you look nice as well” she answered, a small blush on her cheeks.
“Well thank you. Shall we?” he asked, offering her his arm.
Instead of answering she placed her hand on his arm and he lead them from her apartment down Diagon Alley until they reached the restaurant.

There, they were greeted by a waiter.
“Ah Mr. Zabini! Miss Granger! A table for two I presume?” the waiter asked
“Yes please” Blaise said.
“Please follow me” the waiter then led them to a small table in a secluded corner of the restaurant.
“Wow, it does pay off, being famous and rich and all that” Hermione said astonished.
“Or being a war hero” Blaise added.

But I don't know how long I can stick around and be
just another friend time and time again and hold my tongue.
I don't know how long before it breaks me down inside
and all my strength has gone away, and it's too late before I say
I'm falling for you

A waitress arrived then, handing them the menus.
“Good evening, I’ll be your waitress for this evening” she said, smiling seductively at Blaise, not bearing Hermione another look. ‘She really is pretty’ Hermione thought.
Blaise, however, didn’t seem to notice, for he only had eyes for Hermione.
“Have you already decided ‘Mione?” he asked her.
“Yes, I’ll have the asparagus soup and the pork fillet.”
“The same goes for me” Blaise said “Thank you. Oh and we’ll have a bottle of white wine for drinks”
With that Blaise dismissed the waitress, who obviously was not pleased with how he didn’t pay her any attention at all.
“I think she’s interested in you, you know” Hermione stated.
“I know. But it’s not her I’m interested in. I mean, who would be when he already has a very beautiful and intelligent woman for company” he answered smoothly.
“You do know how to flatter a girl, Mr. Zabini” she answered, giggling.

The rest of the evening went by easily, they always seemed to find something to talk about and Hermione found she could not resist his charm and the slight pull she felt towards him.
Soon, 4 hours were spent and Hermione couldn’t hide her yawning.
“I’ll better get you home then, you seem tired.” He said as he saw her yawn. He motioned for the waitress to bring the bill and paid for their meal. Hermione wanted to protest, but he just said “I invited you, so I’ll pay for it” Seeing that he would not back down on this one, Hermione didn’t even try to argue and instead thanked him for paying for her as well.
“It’s nothing, really. Now let’s get you back home.”

I'm torn between the chance for everything and a price that I can't pay
losing you is something that I'd never chose so I'll just have to wait
but it kills me everyday

Blaise walked her up to her front door.
“Thanks for accepting my invitation and for being such a great and interesting company. I guess I never had dinner with a girl and was not bored one second of it” Blaise said, throwing her another dashing smile.
“Thank you Blaise. I really enjoyed myself” Hermione said, smiling up at him.
“You mean to say that you’d go out with me another time?”
“Yes, you could say that”
“That’s good for I intended to do that a lot in the future”
“What do you mean?” she asked, confused. Suddenly, Blaise stood very close.
“I think you know exactly what I mean” he answered in a low voice.
Her breath hitched in her throat when she looked into his eyes and she saw the desire in them.
“Good Night, Hermione” he said, before lowering his head slightly and kissing her softly on the lips.
Before she even realized what had happened, Blaise had already thrown her another one of his smiles before apparating on the spot.
Hermione stood frozen to the spot for another minute, blushing furiously, before she unlocked her door and went inside, still feeling the sensation of his lips on hers when she went to sleep.

I don't wanna tell you that sometimes I think of you and smile.
