"Where's Kasy?"

Rose had been the first one to ask, when they'd sat down for dinner. Albus was just away from them, but he still heard. He still did a double-take of the room.

They'd asked McGonagall next. Her face paled slightly, suggesting that we looked at the library, the quidditch pitch, the dorm room.

She wasn't anywhere. I checked the spot under the stands we used to use whenever it started raining. I looked in the Room of Requirement, the kitchens, the potions room. We tracked down Professor Flint and asked if he'd seen her.

Everyone was searching. Aidan and I stared at the Marauder's Map until our eyes burnt.

She wasn't there.

She was gone.

~

Me and Aidan sat side by side on my bed in our dorm. His face was pale and tired, all emotion drained out of him.

"Why would she run?" He asked. I didn't answer.

"When did she last run away?" He asked instead. I thought about it.

"I don't really know. Not for a few years, anyway. Usually she's just sitting on her broom above the pitch, just below the clouds."

"Did you check?"

"Yes. I triple checked."

We sat for a bit longer.

"Do you remember in third year when she and James made all the Slytherin's clothes be covered in love hearts?"

"Best Valentine's Day ever." I grinned. James was a fifth year then, already sixteen. Kasy liked to tease him whenever we saw him with a girl, which was often.

"What about last year, for Rose's sixteenth." I prompted. Aidan smiled. "That was amazing. I can't believe Rose didn't kill her."

"I dunno. It was pretty funny." Aidan looked at me, the smile still on his face.

"To us, yeah, but would you like waking up to find Scorpius' face plastered across your entire bed?"

"Yes." He said immediately. I raised my eyebrows. "What? For a Malfoy, he's pretty good looking. Nice personality too. Kasy told me about how nervous he was during her 'Rose 101' with him."

"I still can't believe she did that."

"And what, them shagging was more believable?"

I laughed. That had been pretty awkward.

"I stand by my decision. How else would I have gotten in on the plan?"

"She was going to ask you. She just needed to make sure Scorpo wasn't going to jump overboard first."

It was starting to get dark outside. I hope that she'd had enough sense to take something warm with her.

"I miss her hair. And her voice. Whenever she shouted at me, it was like a little thunderstorm."

"Fourth year. It was awful outside. She came downstairs, took one look out of the window and just stared at you. You got up and followed her out, no words said. Me and Rose followed you guys."

"Did you?" I asked in surprise. He ignored me.

"You two just walked right out of the building, into the pouring rain. And you ran. It was like watching five-year-olds. Both of you were soaked through when you got back, but you both smiling. I still don't know why you did it."

"I remember. Her mum had sent her another letter, this one all about her career choices. She was just so pissed off, and she always goes for a wander outside when she's upset. It's a habit. I try to go with her whenever I can."

Her Dad and Professor Harmony were searching near the apartment to see if she'd tried to go home. McGonagall had alerted the Ministry and the Knight Bus, just in case.

And then it clicked.

"I think I know where she is."

Aidan looked at me in surprise. "Seriously?"

"Seriously. But I don't think she'd want people dragging her back." I looked at him, seeing him understand.

"Just go and bring her back. Please."

So I ran.

~

It took me an hour or so to get there. It started raining after twenty minutes. My hair was soaked and my jumper sticking to my body.

It wasn't the nicest place. But looking at the cluster of stones and the open door, I knew I'd made the right choice.

"Kasy?"

"Albus?"

Author's Note

Just a few things. Thanks to all the lovely reviewers of the past few chapters- they've been so wonderful to read and really brightened up my day! However, looking at the whole ratio of readers of each chapters and actually reviewers is slightly disappointing. Please review, even if it's just a single word or even just an emoticon or something! I don't want to sound needy or anything but...either way it's going to sound needy, so REVIEW GODDAMNIT!

Anyway, hoped you liked this chapter. Not much is happening, but I swear the next chapter is when your pleas will be met ;)
