Chapter 1: Leavin'

“Draco? I'm leaving, Ron'll be here any minute, he wanted to talk to me about something.”, said Hermione, standing up and turning towards the door.
“Yeah, go on, have a nice evening, we'll see each other tomorrow.”.Draco forced a smile that didn't reach his eyes, but Hermione didn't see since she was already on her way out.

Hey baby girl I've been watching you all day all day all day
Man that thing you got behind you is amazing, amazing, amazing
You make me want to take you out and let it rain, let it rain, let it rain
I know you got a man but this is what you should say

Why don’t you tell him that I’m leavin’

„Ron! Don't just – argh! - Wait!”, yelled Hermione 5 minutes later while running after her fiance.
'And again, they're fighting', Draco thought, 'I wonder how she puts up with him every time.'
Sadly, Draco placed the papers back in the folder and left his office for the night.

But once he came down to the atrium, he saw Hermione sitting at the foot of the fountain, crying.
“Hermione!”, Draco yelled, “what happened?”
“Oh, Draco, n-n-nothing I-”, she sobbed. “Don't even try saying it's nothing,” , interrupted Draco, “you've been fighting again, aren't you? What was it about this time? About your work?” “Well...you know how he is, Draco. He doesn't want me to work so much, he wants to settle down, have kids and stuff.” “I know that Hermione, and you know my opinion of that. It's foolish of him to push you into that. If he knew you, he wouldn't ask you to work less, because he'd know just how important your job is to you. He's a downright prick to ask you to give up what you love the most. You know you deserve better than that.” “I know, but I still love him – somehow. I have to go, see if I can fix this...”, said Hermione, standing up and rushing to the fireplace.

“You don't have to-”, started Draco, but wish a wooosh, she was gone. “He doesn't even deserve you”, said Draco to the now empty fireplace.

Never lookin back again

You found somebody who does it better than he can
no more making you cry, no more them gray skies

Sighing, Draco went to the fireplace and flooed to his flat.

The next day, Draco and Hermione had lunch together, and Hermione wasn't in a much better mood.
“You know what,” Draco said, “how about we go out tonight, just to some clubs in town? It'll drive your thoughts away from him. Come on 'Mione, it won't hurt you to get out of your flat for some time”, he added, giving her his puppy eyes, when she still didn't look that enthusiastic.
“All right, all right”, she said, laughing. “You know I can't resist when you look at me like that.”

So, at 9pm, Draco stood at Hermione's front door, in some washed blue jeans and a white shirt. He was about to ring the doorbell, when the door flew open and Hermione stood there, looking absolutely stunning in her short, dark blue dress and silver jewelry. Her make-up accentuated her eyes and lips just perfect, and Draco was at a loss for words. “You-you look beautiful, 'Mione”, he said hoarsely. “Thanks. Shall we?” asked Hermione nervously. “Sure, let's go, I know a nice club just outside London, with some really good music.”

When they got there, Draco greeted the doorman and walked into the club, Hermione close behind him. Inside, there was a huge dance floor in the middle of the room and behind it a bar. “Let's get something to drink, shall we?”, Draco asked, maneuvering Hermione with him through the crowd. “So, what do you want? Firewhiskey?” She nodded. “Two firewhiskeys” he said to the bartender.

After they had their drinks, they went onto the dance floor, between the other guests of the club. After a few minutes, Hermione visibly relaxed and started to get closer and closer to Draco and all he could think about was how downright gorgeous she looked in the lights of the club.

Girl we flying on the G-5, G-5
And we're leavin’ never lookin back again…
So call your shawty you tell him you found a new man

She danced and laughed with him and sang along to the music. “I love it here, Draco, we have to do something like this more often.”, she said, giggling. “Anytime you want”, Draco replied. He, too, was having one of the best evenings of his life.

The one who’s so so fly
The one to keep you high
have you singing all night, like that
Oh oh oh man she going to be sayin’
Oh oh oh oh

After another few hours of dancing, Hermione and Draco collapsed onto a couch next to the dance floor. “Wow, my feet are dying”, said Hermione, sitting down close to Draco.

Now if I talk it girl, you know that I will walk it out , walk it out, walk it out
Man I’ll put my money (money) where my mouth is, mouth is, mouth is
Cause you the baddest little thing that I’ve ever seen, ever seen, ever seen
So ima ask you one time if you got a man
Why don’t you tell him that I’m leavin’ never lookin back again

“Well, do you want to leave?”, asked Draco, looking down at the girl next to him. “Not really, it's just so much fun being here with you, dancing the night away”, admitted Hermione sheepishly, “I never really did this before, you know, but it really is fun.”

You found somebody who does it better than he can
no more making you cry, no more them gray skies
girl we flying on the g-fly g-fly

“For real? You never went clubbing before? You've got to be kidding me! Didn't Weaslette took you out some time?” - “Don't call her that”, scolded Hermione, “but no, she always wanted to, though, but I always excused myself, but now, with you, it's just so much fun. I really have to thank you, Draco, this was a really good idea”.
“So, you want to go home?”

“No way, this song's my favourite!”, Hermione said, jumping up and dragging Draco behind her.

And we're leavin’ never lookin back again…
So call your shawty you tell him you found a new man
The one who’s so so fly

'That's quite a slow one', Draco thought while Hermione snuggled close to him and he wrapped his arms around her waist, inhaling the smell of her perfume. 'Man I really got it bad for her...'

The one to keep you high
have you singing all night, like that
Oh oh oh man she going to be sayin’

Oh oh oh oh

A few hours later, they were back at Hermione's flat.
“Thanks for this great night Draco, really, it was so much fun”, said Hermione, hugging him. “I...-”, but the words got stuck in her throat when she looked into Draco's silvery eyes, so full of an emotion she couldn't quite grasp.

Don’t stress, don’t stress, don’t stress
Just tell him to the left left left
Don’t stress, don’t stress, don’t stress
Cause we gone and we 're gone and we 're gone

As if on instinct, she stood up on her toes while he lowered his head slowly, as if waiting for her to turn away.

No stress, no stress, no stress
Girl you deserve nothing but the best
No stress, no stress, no stress

Girl you need to tell him…
That I’m leavin’ never lookin back again

But then they heard someone coming up the stairs to her flat, and the moment was gone.
“'Mi, we've been looking for you everywhere! Where've you been? Ron is worried sick, he-” Ginny abruptly stopped. “Wait – what is HE doing here?!”

You found somebody who does it better than he can
no more making you cry, no more them gray skies
girl we flying on the g-fly g-fly
And we're leavin’ , never lookin back again…

“I better go, good night, 'Mione”, said Draco and apparated home.

So call your shawty you tell him you found a new man
The one who’s so so fly, the one to keep you high
have you singing all night, like that
Oh oh oh (man she going to be sayin’
oh oh oh oh
