The first months after the wedding were filled with love and laughter like every newlywedded couple would have in their new life.
Hermione was a stay at home mum for now, watching Savanna everyday and enjoying seeing her grow and always having dinner on the table when Draco got off of work from his job in the Improper Use of Magic Office (with the help of Ginny and Mrs. Weasley's cooking lessons).
Ron Weasley was still with Lavender to everyone's horror and his love for Hermione was too intense for them to remain normal, happy friends like they used to be. Unfortunately their relationship drifted off to a friendly greeting in passing and light conversation at the Potter's dinners. But it was mostly because he hated to see Hermione so happy when he was not.
Ginny and Harry Potter were still in love and as happy as can be, they hope to provide little James with a brother or sister soon but it has not happened quite yet.
Narcissa was still the same but the war had made her a little less judgemental. She tried to appreciate her son and everything else around her more and has been around her sister Andromeda alot more and chooses not despise her choice in marrying a muggle any longer. Her husband Lucius was still in Azkaban prison and his personality has not changed although he greatly misses Draco because he had not been to see him since the incident at the Burrow.
Jean and Jeff Granger ask to see their granddaughter almost everyday but Hermione politely tells them she will bring her over when she can.
Hermione loves her new life with Draco, but she was a little confused as to why they have not been on a honeymoon... she was expecting a private island of some kind but really didn't care. She just wanted to be away with him. But two months later she would get her trip.
Draco had surprised Hermione and had her bags packed when she got home from work day two months after their wedding.
"We are leaving for our honeymoon. Tonight!" Draco had said. Hermione looked at him, taken aback by this sudden announcement.
"But I have work tomorr-" she started to object.
"All covered, love. Baby Anna is covered too. Red-head and Potter agreed to watch her," Draco said with his dashing smirk.
Hermione melted into her new husband's arms feeling excited and ready for this mystery she was about to let Draco take her on.
"Champagne or firewhisky my beautiful wife?" Draco Lucius Malfoy asked his new bride on the first night of their honeymoon in a Greek hotel beside the sea.
“How about champagne?” Hermione Jean Malfoy giggled at him, her cheeks flushed from already being tipsy.
Hermione and he were in a Jacuzzi, clothing discarded and cuddling one another while they talked about the future ahead of them while the bubbles surrounded them.
Draco smiled at his wife seductively and poured her another wineglass full. Hermione took it and started to drink at a rapid rate. Draco started to finish off his glass then topped it off again for the second time.
“Hermione, the last time we got drunk together we made a child, remember?” Draco said with a smile, reaching out over the Jacuzzi to put the bottles of liquor away, deciding his wife has had enough.
“I remember,” Hermione giggled with a hiccup, brushing her fingers across her husband’s facial hair on his chin and giggling stupidly again.
Draco laughed and picked her up out of the hot tub and started kissing her delicate neck as he led her over, half-carrying her to their luxurious bed.
When he laid her down they made love for the next three hours. They both immediately fell asleep afterwards feeling exhausted from their efforts and the alcohol’s effect.
The next week of their honeymoon consisted of a lot of making love, occasionally finding time to explore the beautiful country neither of them had ever been to.
Hermione’s favorite vista of the trip was a huge waterfall that was hidden in an enchanted rainforest that a couple of nice Greek wizards they met on the trip told them about.
Know-it-all Hermione picked up about three thick books, at least six-hundred pages each, and had started reading about the History of Greece and Grecian History of Magic during their relaxing times of the week much to the annoyance of Draco who wanted to do anything but sit around staring at the pages of books.
When the honeymoon ended, neither of them were looking forward to returning to their daily grind but they greatly missed baby Savanna and were anxious to return to her.
To the new married couple it felt like their love would never end with their newborn baby and beautiful house given by Aunt Andromeda…
It didn’t seem like they would ever have problems with their marriage and that their life was going to be happy and carefree together for now on.
But as all of everyone knows, life doesn’t allow us to always have it easy...
