“Are you feeling any better?” Louis asked Freya carefully.

Freya had been very temperamental all day and Louis had been on the receiving end of quite a few glares and snappy retorts to his questions. It annoyed him that she was acting that way towards him but figured that it was down to her hormones and how uncomfortable she had been feeling for a while now. He had to remind himself a few times that it can’t be easy to be over eight months pregnant, especially in this hot weather, so he let her snap at him and didn’t say anything to her about it. After all, he was the reason she was feeling this uncomfortable.

“As best as I can be whilst the size of the Giant Squid and with some of the worst backache I’ve had in a while.”

“You’re not as big as the Giant Squid, you look beautiful, Freya.” Louis told her, taking her hand in his and kissing the back of her hand.

Freya gave a sigh and looked downcast, “I don’t feel beautiful.”

“Did you want me to rub your back for you?” Louis asked her, he wasn’t good at giving massages, but he wanted to help ease any amount of pain that Freya was going through and Freya actually appreciated his help.

“If you don’t mind?” Freya told him, she turned on the sofa so that Louis could reach her back. She gave a thankful sigh as he began rubbing her back. Freya closed her eyes as she tried to relax.
“Thank you, Louis.”

“It won’t be long until she’s here, then you won’t be this uncomfortable.” Louis told her softly as he continued rubbing her back. Freya opened her eyes quickly at his words, feeling discomfort swimming around in her, Louis was right, it wasn’t that long until she would be here and it terrified her more and more every day.

Before Freya could answer him, they heard a knock on the door of the cottage, they looked up at the door of the front room, Freya wondering who it could be, but Louis answered her unasked question.

“That should be Horatio and Molly,” Louis told Freya, as he heard his sister walking to answer the door. Freya turned slightly to look at Louis, a small frown crossing her face. “I forgot to tell you that they’re coming over to see us.”

“Why are they coming over?” Freya asked him, she hadn’t even changed out of her pyjamas yet and now Horatio and Molly were here. She wished that Louis had warned her so that she could cover herself up and look decent enough, it was a different thing to be in her pyjamas in front of Louis’ family because she lived with them, but his cousin and Louis’s friend were a different story.

“Horatio and Molly wanted to see us and Molly is going shopping with Vic at some point today,” Louis told her. Freya huffed slightly as she moved away from Louis and stood up from the sofa, leaving a confused Louis sitting on the sofa.

“You could have warned me, so that I could go and put some clothes on.”

“They won’t mind that you’re in your pyjamas, Freya.” Louis told her, standing up as well. He took a few steps so that he went out of the front room ahead of Freya, planning on telling Horatio and Molly to wait for a while so that Freya could go and get changed, but he was met with Horatio jumping into his arms causing them both to fall to the floor. Louis let out a groan as he shoved Horatio off of him and looked up to see that Victoire and Molly were laughing at them, Freya was watching them as well, but she didn’t seem to be laughing at them.

“Louis, I’ve missed you so much!” Horatio stated, hugging onto Louis from where they both lay on the floor. “Don’t leave me ever again.”

“Horatio, get off of me.” Louis said with a laugh as he pushed Horatio away from him and attempted to stand up, Victoire offered a hand to help him. Molly held her hand out for Horatio to take and he stood up with a laugh, Louis noticed that they seemed to hold hands for a few minutes longer than necessary before letting go. He was going to ask them about it, but Horatio and Molly seemed to have noticed at that moment that Freya was watching them as well. Horatio turned to Freya and held his arms out beaming widely, Freya backed up from him and held her hands up in front of her to stop him from hugging her. Horatio’s eyes went wide as he looked at Freya, it was the first time he had seen her since she had left Hogwarts to be homeschooled, and he gave a low whistle.

“Wow, you have gotten so big.” Horatio told her, dropping his arms and looking at Freya’s bump.

Louis winced slightly at Horatio’s words and looked at Freya to see that her eyes were beginning to water.

“You’re a jerk, do you know that Horatio?” Freya stated angrily, as she moved passed Horatio and the others and began to make her way up the stairs. Horatio looked at them all in shock and confusion.

“What did I do?” He asked them, Molly rolled her eyes at him.

Louis gave a sigh before going to follow Freya up the stairs, but Victoire stopped him and told them that she would go up and talk to Freya and see if she can calm her down.

“Freya’s feeling pretty sensitive at the moment about how much weight she’s put on.” Louis told Horatio as he turned back to look at him.

“But that’s good that she has, because she has a baby in there.” Horatio stated, trying to defend himself.

“Let’s go and sit down, Vic will talk to Freya.” Molly told them both, taking her hand. “Maybe you should start thinking about what you shouldn’t say in front of Freya.”

Horatio shook his head as he took a seat on the sofa next to Molly, Louis sat down on the other side of Horatio and slouched slightly.

“Don’t take it to heart Horatio; she’s just uncomfortable and tired of being pregnant. She’ll be fine once Samantha is here.”

“How is she doing?” Molly asked in concern.

“She keeps getting backache and her feet ache and swell a lot, but I try my best to make her feel better. It isn’t easy at times when I’m at work, but hopefully Freya can understand that I’m trying to make money for us.” Louis stated.

“She will, don’t worry.” Molly said with a warm smile.

They heard footsteps coming down the stairs and waited for Vic to come into the room, Louis knew it was Vic by how fast the person had made it down the stairs.

“How’s Freya?” Louis asked his sister as he sat up straight on the sofa.

“She’s fine now; I told her that Horatio didn’t mean it in a bad way.” Vic told them, she then turned to look at Molly. “I’ve invited her along with us shopping, if that’s alright with you? I think she needs to get out of the house for a while, it might make her feel a bit better.”

“Yeah, that’s perfectly fine.” Molly told Vic with a smile.

“That leaves me and you alone, Louis.” Horatio said, putting an arm around Louis’s shoulders and wiggling his eyebrows at him suggestively, Louis rolled his eyes but couldn’t stop a smile from crossing his face.

“I don’t think so somehow boys, you two are going to come with us and carry our bags.” Vic told them with an eyebrow raised as though daring them to say no to her.

Horatio gave a sigh. “I should have stayed at home.”

“Are we done yet?” Horatio groaned loudly. He was carrying Molly bags of shopping and was walking slowly around the Muggle town that Vic and Molly had wanted to go shopping in. He was kicking at anything on the floor that he could find in annoyance, he really didn’t like shopping at all.

“Nope, you’ve still got a while yet, Horatio.” Vic told him with a smile before turning back around to walk next to Freya, who was holding onto Louis’s hand as they walked up the street. They were being careful to avoid the Muggles walking passed them, Freya not wanting anyone to bump into her.

“It’ll be alright, Horatio.” Molly said, linking her arm through Horatio’s and walking with him. Horatio felt himself smiling as he walked with Molly.

“Can we at least stop off at that ice cream shop? I want an ice cream to get me through the rest of the day.” Horatio stated, nodding over at the shop that wasn’t that far from where they were walking.

“That’s a good idea; I want an ice cream as well.” Freya told them, agreeing with Horatio.

“And as an apology for what I said earlier, I shall buy you an ice cream, Freya.” Horatio stated, as he and Molly caught up with the others. Freya gave him a smile before they all walked over to the shop and made their way inside, sitting down at a table by the window.

“I like sitting down,” Freya told them all, taking a bottle of water out of the bag that Louis had been carrying and taking a sip of it quickly before putting it back into the bag. “My feet were starting to ache.”

“I’ll go and get the ice creams, then,” Horatio stated, taking everyone’s orders before walking over to the counter, Molly went with him to help him carry them all over.

Louis smiled over at Horatio and Molly, Molly was laughing at Horatio, who had put two spoons in his mouth and was pretending that they were fangs. Louis felt himself chuckling at them and wishing that they could realise the others feelings for each other.

Molly and Horatio carried over the ice creams on a tray and they each helped themselves, thanking Horatio as they took spoons, after Horatio had assured them that he had got them clean ones.

“Are you two going out with each other?” Freya asked after a bite of her ice cream, as she looked between Molly and Horatio, who was sitting close to each other at the table.

“No, we’re not.” Horatio told Freya, as Molly blushed beside him, Louis noticed that Molly seemed to be disappointed in Horatio’s answer. In fact, Louis was a bit disappointed as well, even though he had been contacting Horatio regularly during their holiday and knew that Horatio hadn’t told Molly how he felt, he had hoped that Horatio would have asked Molly out by now.

“You act like you’re going out with each other.” Freya stated to them.

Horatio shifted on his seat in discomfort as Molly bit her lip and looked down at her ice cream.

“No, we don’t, we just like hanging around with each other.” Molly said with a shrug, Horatio agreed with her as he ate some of his ice cream.

“Maybe you should stop flirting with each other then, it’s giving out the wrong impression.” Freya told them. Horatio gave a small laugh of exasperation before going to open his mouth to say something to her, Louis cut over him quickly, knowing that Horatio was going to tell her to mind her own business.

“Are you seeing Teddy tonight, Vic?” Louis asked his sister.

“No, I’m staying at home tonight. Dommie and I are planning on having a girl’s night in; she wants to tell me all about her and Kieron.”

Louis screwed his face up at that; he didn’t need to know all about his sisters love lives. “Sounds like fun.”

“It will be, you can join us if you want Molly and Freya?” Vic asked them both. Freya told Vic that she wanted to spend the night with Louis as it was his day off for a few days; Molly declined politely saying that she was going to spend the night with Lucy, if she wasn’t with Steven.

“How about you, Horatio,” Louis asked Horatio, turning to face him. “What are you doing tonight?”

“Well, I’m not having any girlie nights in, that’s for sure. I’m also not going to be spending my time with Nikolos either, it’s bad enough, he tries to tell me about his love life with Richard or that he has a thing for Russians, I don’t need to hear about his love life with anyone else. I’ll probably just take Alyssa to the park before mum cooks dinner, might play games with her for a while.” Horatio told them, “I would ask if you wanted to come to the park with us, but if you and Freya have made plans already.” He finished with a shrug.

“Sorry, mate, maybe next time?” Louis said to him.

“I’ll come with you if Lucy’s gone out with Steven.” Molly told him.

“That’ll be nice, Alyssa will love you.” Horatio told her with a grin.

“It can be a date for you both,” Freya stated with a smirk at Horatio, who had turned to look at her, a frown crossing his face. But he just shook his head at her and they continued eating their ice cream, Horatio had stopped talking and Louis could tell that Freya’s remarks about Horatio and Molly was beginning to annoy him.

Louis was impressed and thankful that Horatio didn’t snap at Freya like he would have done if anyone else was talking to him like that. He was going to have a word with Freya about the way she was treating Horatio later on that night, he didn’t want to cause more of a scene between the two than there was at the moment.
