"What?" Scorpius asked frozen in his place, he didn't believe what she just told him to do.
“You heard me. Please just kill me.” She pleaded lightly, underlaying the desperation in her eyes.
He shook his head, “No.” Scorpius said his voice cracked sharply as his throat instantly dried.
“You know what my family will do if they find out what happened. They won’t care if I am okay- just as long as I’m not pregnant. Louis even thinks I was egging him on. Don’t you get it? I don’t WANT to live anymore.” She said with a sting in her words that made the Malfoy boy flinch.
He looked at her light ginger hair that was caked in a fine layer of dirt from sleeping outside. Bits of grass and smudges of dirt were on her uniform she made a point to keep immacualate. Her face had streaks from tears that rolled down her pale face just a short while before all the way back to hours before. Her clothes were disheveled from the pervert who had taken advantage of his best friend. Her blue-grey eyes lacked their luster, just like her innocence; both of which seemed to magically vanish. She seemed to be a shell, as if the demetors kissed her soul away and left Scorpius with a hollow figure to look at.
“Why would you ask me to do such a thing?” he asked her his steel grey eyes forcing her to make eye-contact.
“B-because.” She stuttered timidly. This was not normally how the middle child of the Delacore/Weasley family acted. Normally she was vivacious, smiling and full of life. She was never afraid to express her opinion or talk about anything. “I am too scared to," she whimpered.
That whimper worked anytime Dom wanted Scorpius to do something. That small, pitiful, feeble sound made him putty in her hands. That pout helped her with countless homework assignments, sticky situations, family problems and everything and anything she wanted her way. Until that moment.
“I am not going to kill my best friend. Not because she is convinced she shouldn’t live anymore. Not when she is too scared to kill herself. That is MURDER Dom. I would go to prison for that.” Scorpius wasn't going to kill the broken little red head even if she begged. He couldn't say the same when he found out who hur his friend like that.
She looked angry, “I don’t understand why you hate me so much. You don’t understand-“ She started until Scorpius cut her off, he was fuming at this point.
“Don’t you DARE say I hate you. Not when I am saving your life Dominique Nymphadora Weasley. Not when I have loved you for the past four freaking years!” He said noticing she was crying he stopped suddenly. She didn’t know what he was yelling; just that he snapped at her. He made it a point to show her patience when no one else would.
“Hey…” He said softly pulling her into his muscled frame as her tears increased, “Dom I could never hate you. You know that- you are my best friend.” He whispered as he stroked her hair gently
“I just- I feel so dirty.” She cried knowing she couldn’t wash away the grimy feeling. She felt like the names everyone secretly called her older sister.
"Dom what exactly happened?" He asked her gently knowing if he didn't ask while the horrors were still fresh she'd never tell him. She would try to hard to forget and deny all of it if she ever became her normal self again.
"Imagine the worst," was all she said. It wasn't hard to; she was attacked by others before but no one has ever put her into this state.
“Dom. Tell me who did this to you.” He told her as his sliver eyes bore into hers.
“Why?” She hiccupped as her tears slowed to a drizzle.
“Because I am going to tear him limb from limb.” Scorpius said in a dangerous tone of voice, he was completely serious.
“I am not worth the trouble," she said honestly feeiling that way.
He stared her straight in the eye, “You are worth the moon’s weight in gold.”
She gave a half smile, “You always come up with the most sappy shit," She said trying to sound like herself. She was clearly trying to hard.
“Dom I am not kidding. I have loved you since the third year when you hexed me for picking on your cousin. I can’t kill you because you have never been my friend. You are just the girl I have always loved.”
Dominique hugged Scorpius burrying her dripping face into his shirt. She decided to forgive his sappy nature just this once.
