Anyway, I don’t understand why he keeps doing this. ‘This’ being him following, apologising and generally whining like a pig. He is such a prat. Why can’t he understand I never want to see him again unless I have to? He's the one who was sneaking around behind my back with some Ravenclaw bimbo; I found them in a broom closet. Classy.
We’d only been going out for a 2 months or so (I’m not exactly the kind of girl who counted the exact days, hours and minutes of a relationship) and it’s not like it was love at first sight, somehow Al knows, probably from Roxy, which means Scorp knows and they’re probably gonna come up to school next Hogsmeade weekend to ‘sort him out’. No doubt they’ll rope in Louis or James or Fred or one of the other boys even though I hardly know them well enough for them to feel any sort of overprotective feelings towards me. The Scamander twins have already offered - well at least Lysander did, Lorcan is too much like his mother, Luna Lovegood, for that sort of thing, I've never seen him hit anybody. Ever. And Cassie’s most likely working on a Howler to him right now-with Rose and Ally’s help. I really hate knowing the middle Potter child sometimes.
Perhaps I should explain the last paragraph I wrote.
My best friends are Albus Severus Potter, Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy and Cassandra Cynthe Nott.
Their spouses being Allia Tasmine Gobbart (Al’s girlfriend), Rose Nymphadora Weasley (Scorpius’ fiancée, can you believe it? I'm so excited!) and James Sirius Potter (Cassie’s boyfriend). They are all older than me, but I have managed to make good enough friendships with the rest of Al’s family.
Most of them knew who I was during their Hogwarts years, and I have gotten quite close to Roxy, (George’s daughter) last year when I had to tutor her in DADA. I vaguely know Lily, since she’s in several of my classes and I have been over to Al’s place a few times during some of the summer holidays and I met Ginny and Harry – they’re really nice- and James who I met two years ago and got to know quite well seeing as he's going out with Cassie and all.
They used to hate each other, but it all changed in their seventh year, don’t ask me to go in to detail, this is my story. Basically, all the Wotters, as quite a lot of like to people call them, have graduated except Roxy, Lily and Hugo.
Hugo Bilius Weasley.
An idiotic arse who still doesn’t know my name. I’m bloody best friends with his cousin, close friends to his other ones, good friends with his sister, best friends with his sister’s fiancé and his sister’s fiancé’s cousin (I’m talking about Cassie here, she and Scorp are cousins. Scorp’s mum is Astoria Greengrass - she marries Draco Malfoy for those of you stupid enough not to work that out - and her sister, Daphne, marries Theodore Nott.)
HE SHOULD KNOW WHO I AM.
I’m a reserve chaser on the Slytherin quidditch team, and I’m interested in making brooms, which is why the Slytherin team’s brooms are so bloody fantastic. I’ve been in nearly all his classes for 7 years and he still doesn’t know who I am.
He kissed me underneath some mistletoe last year, a few weeks after Christmas. It was my first kiss and, well, it was pretty damn good; he still should know who I am though, I mean, I spent two days at the Burrow last summer. Honestly.
Lily Luna Potter.
A sweet girl, who is scarily, overly observant. She so has a thing for Lysander, the girl just wont admit it. I’d been over at her house enough times to know that she favours cute dresses and a sassy attitude; she truly is James Potter Junior’s sister, James Potter Senior’s granddaughter, and every inch the Weasley. I know for a fact that she’s ecstatic that her brother’s are no longer are at Hogwarts, I just hope she doesn’t become a serial dater like said brother (I'm talking about James here, boy did he go through girls before he reliased how freaking hawt Cassie is).
Roxanne Coleen Weasley
A gorgeous, awesome, totally gor girl who just doesn’t understand how gifted she is in looks. She's as good a pranker as her older brother – Fred – she's just more subtle about it. She would have made a good Slytherin now that I think about it.
Cassie was a Gryffindor, much to the shock (but not necessarily displeasure) of her father. Al was a Slytherin much to the shock of, well everyone really. And Scorp was a Slytherin too, much to the shock of no-one.
I’m a snake too, and proud. I’m also muggle born. The first muggle born Slytherin ever. Which apparently means something? Oddly enough, McGonagall is proud of that. She says she never thought she would see it in her life time, which is dumb ‘cause her lifetime is pretty long.
Anyway, that’s what made Scorp and Al originally curious about me. And then Cassie joined us ‘cause she didn’t like her Gryffie dorm-mates much and they treated her weird since she’s a Nott, she liked Ally and Rose well enough, but they weren’t in her dorm, seeing as they're one year below her, and all three of them were pretty reclusive, it wasn’t ‘til their sixth year nd ger seventh that they really bonded. There were two other girls in her dorm, and they were utter slags. I don’t even remember their names but I saw one of them on the cover of Play Wizard that I found under Al’s bed when I went to see him over the summer. That boy is just disgusting. I wonder what Ally would say if she found out....... cue evil laughter.
I’m not actually evil; I just tend to talk a lot. ‘Tis one of my more redeeming qualities.
Anyway, here I am, in hiding, with my essay nowhere near finished. I looked at my watch and saw it was nearly dinner-time. I hurriedly swept everything into my bag and ran towards the main hall and I was just about to burst in when I was rudely grabbed and spun around to face none other than Hugo Weasley.
I scowled up at him, yes up, I’m of average height but boy can this guy tower over people.
“What do you want?”
“I know your name!” he exclaimed excitedly.
“Oh well done! A year is not long at all to learn someone’s name.” My sarcasm fell on deaf ears as he beamed at me.
“You’re Daisy Arabella Dare!”
“Excellent, thanks for clearing that up. Can I go now?”
“No.” There was mischievous twinkle in his eyes.
“Why not?” I asked, crossing my arms.
“I wanted to ask you something.”
“Hurry up then.”
“Erm...well... have you heard form Scorpius much lately?”
“Yeah, he owled me yesterday, he's coming to Hogsmeade next time we;re allowed to go. He says he'll bring Rose and Al with him. Maybe Cassie too.”
“I wanted to have a few words with him.”
“His intentions towards my sister.”
I stared at him in stunned disbelief, “You are a fool. They dated for 2 years and he asked her to marry him during summer, I would know, he was stressing at my house for ages!”
“Oh yeah, I keep forgetting how close you four are, anyways, I haven’t given him ‘the talk’ yet.”
“Bloody hell! What are you her father? Just leave them be! He’s already gone through enough ‘talks’ from Ron, James, Fred, Louis, George, and every other male member of your family, ‘cept Harry, ‘cause he actually has some sense.”
“Alright, alright! Merlin! I won’t say anything!”
“Good, you’ll only upset Rose anyways.”
“True, have you seen her temper?”
“Trust me, I have.” I mutter. Rose often used me as an emotional outlet. Thank god Ally was around, I wouldn’t have survived otherwise.
“Now can I leave?”
“What? Oh yeah, sure, go ahead.” He turned to go, when I heard my name being called.
“Diz! Oi Diz! C’mon! I said I was sorry!” I heard Will’s voice coming from the stairs.
“I have nothing to say to you Will.”
“Diz, we’re meant to be together. It was one mistake!”
“Oh my Merlin, Will just bloody leave me alone, I want nothing to do with you!”
“Is there a problem here?” A demanding voice came from behind me, and I spun around, for the second time in five minutes, to face Hugo Weasley.
“Erm, no?” Will immediately lost any form of confidence when faced with the tall, muscular red-head, who slung one arm around my shoulders.
I shrugged it off hurriedly, and turned to go.
“Don’t call me that.” I spat out. “I want nothing to do with you, and if you come near me one more bleeding time I will curse you to bloody oblivion!”
I saw him pale slightly and he all but ran out of there.
“That boy just doesn’t get a hint.” I muttered to myself. “Thanks for that Weasley.”
“It’s not a problem. I never liked him.” He told me with a wink. "And call me Hugo."
I smiled and turned back to the huge double doors that led to the dining hall.
Maybe he’s not that bad after all?
Hey guys! It's me again, so a few months ago I posted a Hugo/OC one-shot called Mistletoe, (check it out! ;) ) and I told whoever read it that I would write a whole story about the two. So here it is! I hope you all enjoy it! :D
A/N 2: Hey guys, again :P
Do you have any ideas for a banner, 'cause I'm stumped XD
I'm sorry guys but this story is going to be on hold for a while, I might even delete it. I think it has too many spoilers for Daughter of Earth. Plus I'm solely focused on Daughter of Earth in terms of fanfictions so.....
