A/N: Hey there! If you're a fan of Half and Half and just happened to read this because you saw it on my author's page, great! Just take note that this is a completely different story from Half and Half. There's no connection at all. If you're a new comer well then that's awesome as well.
Of course, all rights go to JKR and her beautiful mind! :)
How in the bloody hell did I find myself in this situation?
I mean, yes I normally do find myself in strange/awkward/pitiful situations. Like that one time my brother (who has thankfully gotten himself a life at University and stopped bothering me) convinced me it was a good idea to go spy on our neighbors. Don’t judge- I was eight! Anyway, he told me they were up to something and that if I wanted to be a spy (yes, I actually thought I could pass as a spy) I needed to sniff it out and put a stop to it.
Yeah, well, I ended up crawling through their kitchen window to indeed “sniff out” their plans. Turns out they were having a lovely family dinner when I fell through the window and face planted into their kitchen. Awkward doesn’t even begin to cover it. But my bruised ego and growing embarrassment all seemed unimportant as soon as I spotted him.
He looked adorable with his mouth hanging open in complete shock, his beautiful green eyes growing larger by the second. His eyes, lord his eyes! They were gorgeous! They were layer after layer of green, shinning in the dim dining room light. He ruffled his rat’s nest of a hair uncomfortably as his parents stood up to see if I was all right. And just like that, I knew cupid had hit me square in the butt with an arrow of love.
His parents kindly called my parents who picked me up five minutes later, apologizing profusely. I was still in a daze when they marched me through our front door, my brother laughing hysterically on the stairway. They demanded I apologize to our neighbors for breaking and entering their house as well as disrupting their family dinner. But I could do more than that. Oh, yes. I could watch them for the rest of all time because their son and I were meant to be together, darn it!
That, however, was obviously a mistake. If I hadn’t taken up the slightly abnormal (and completely healthy mind you) hobby of watching my neighbors, I wouldn’t be sitting in their kitchen while everyone paced in front me.
"What should we do, Harry?” Mrs. Potter asked her husband, worry lines creasing her forehead.
The rest of the family seemed to look at Mr. Potter expectantly. Their eyes occasionally flicked over to me in the wooden kitchen chair.
My heart hammered in my chest, fear gripped my stomach, and my palms were beginning to sweat. The only thing I was capable of thinking at that moment was, please don’t kill me. Please don’t kill me!
Mr. Potter gave a heavy sigh. Oh, they are so going to kill me.
"There’s only one thing we can do,” he lifted what I now understood to be a wand to my head. “We’ll have to alter her memory.”
And to think, all this because I fell in love with Albus Potter when I was bloody freaking eight.
Ah! Can you believe it guys? I finally posted the other story I was talking about! I know, I'm impressed with myself as well.
As mentinoed at the top this story is completely different from Half and Half so don't freak out when Beth fails to show up. But don't worry, Sam's pretty fantastic as well. :)
As always I love comments! Let me know what you think of the prologue, predictions for the first chapter, or just feel free to say hi. :) The next chapter should be up soon (hopefully we'll have a banner by then).
Until next time, lovelies! <3
