The 6th years has launched a HUGE party to celebrate halloween and all the students from 4th year above were invited to the party.
I decided that I really wanted to look good this time you know, to have fun and maybe find a nice guy to dance with. Usually I danced with my cousins. And it’s not because they are bad dancers… it’s because I’m not oblivious I knew they danced with me so that I didn’t feel lonely.
So I had snuck to diagon alley to buy a dress, I practiced some hair and make-up spells and I had to admit I looked pretty good.
When I was ready I went happily to the room of requirement. I was about to open the door when I heard someone say.
“If you guys were to give Rose a score from 1 to 10 for looks, what would you guys give her?” asked a female voice that I recognized as Dominique’s.
Most of the answers were from 5 to 6.
“What do you think Scorpius?” asked another female voice.
“ A 2 she isn’t pretty at all and she’s weird and obsessive.” Said Scorpius coldly.
Crack.
I felt a horrible pain in my chest. It didn’t hurt that Malfoy said that because I was used to it. It made me feel ugly that many people cheered Malfoy’s words. It made me realize that I wasn’t happy at school since 2nd year.
I turned around and ran all the way to my room and collapsed on my bed crying.
Damn you Malfoy.
That night Dom and Kenize scolded me for not going to the party.
“Honestly I don’t understand why you didn’t go, it was awesome”
“ Yeah Red, you could have snogged 10 guys like Dom” Kenny winked at me.
Uh.
I hated that people called me “Red”.
Why did people call me red?
I was 5 years old and Mum and Dad had taken us to a party to the House of Uncle Harry and Ginny.
After playing with Al and Ted I went to the kitchen to get a cookie. Aunt ginny’s cooking was…
Shit, there are no words to describe her cooking.
Anyways Aunt Ginny knew that Al and James always fought over the cookies so she hid them in a high place where she stores her cooking books.
So, I stood on tip toes on a high chair to reach the jar but I lost my balance and feel on bucket of tomatoes making the jar fall down and shatter into pieces.
Uncle Harry, aunt Ginny, Mum and Dad rushed to see what had happened. When they saw me covered from head to toe with tomato Uncle Harry and Dad started laughing but a Bat-Bogey Hex from Aunt Ginny shut them up.
James (who was 6) came into the kitchen and snorted.
“Is that the new fashion red?”
“Red?” asked uncle harry.
“ Yeah like a big tomato!” and he started laughing.
I felt REALLY angry and remembered what I had read in

All the adults gasped.
After the smoke cleared a little ferret stood where James had been standing. At the sight of the animal Harry, Ron and Ginny started laughing hysterically.
I was about to step on the ferret when mum levitated the ferret/ James to the table. When she brought some sense to the adults dad lifted me with tears in his eyes (from laughing too much) and said.
“Rosie you have brought some really good memories to us” he started laughing again.
“Ron, she transformed Harry’s son into a ferret! how can you be laughing? You too Harry and Ginny.”
“But Hermione!” Harry protested.
“Come on Hermione, she doesn’t have control over her powers besides you have to admit she has the Weasley temper”
Dad beamed at auntie’s words but mum just bit her lip.
“ I can’t say I’m not surprised that she can use magic at such a ypung age but… Rosie” she said turning to me. “ Be careful next time okay?”
“Yes mum”
She smiled and flicked her wand cleaning the mess, me and bringing James back to normal.
When James was back to normal he cried and Ginny hugged him to make him feel better while Uncle Harry and Dad laughed for a while.
Unfortunatley Dad and Uncle Harry told the whole family what I had done to James in christmas.
They haven’t stopped calling me Red since then.
Dom rolled her eyes at Kenny ans said “Not my fault that James, Fred and the rest of the Wotter family try to kill every guy I try to date, otherwise I would have a permanent boyfriend.”
I snorted.
“ I can’t imagine you with only one boyfriend Dom” said Rox coming in.
“ Yeah, it’s like imagining an inteligent James” I said.
“Or a tall flitwick” said Rox.
“Or a honest Scorpius” said Kenize.
“Why a honest Scorpius?” asked Dom intrigued.
I mean, Scorpius is a playboy and all but when it comes to the only person worth he loves he pretends that he doesn’t care”
“Who?” asked Dom and Rox eagerly, they both loved to spread gossip.
“Can’t tell ya I’m swore not to tell” she looked at me pointedly. I knew she was lying.
“Aw” said both of them trying to get a secret out of Kenny was like asking for help to Flich.
Rox, Dom and Kenny spent a while taking off all that make up that in my opinion was an absurd quantity. You know, I have always been surprised that even though women use such an absurd quantity of makeup they still look beautiful like Dom.
My thoughts were interrupted by Kenny (or Kenize) who said.
“Earth to rose, do you hear me rose?”
“Yes Kenny I am listening”
“Come for walk with me”
“Why now?”
“Do I need some corny reason to convince you?”
I snorted. “No, but what if Flich catches us?”
“You are a prefect remember?” she said mischievously.
“Kenny you make it sound like we are up to no good”
“We are only going for a walk” she said a little too innocently.
“Fine, let’s get going” I said getting up.
We walked for a while in silence until Kenny said.
“You’re not telling me what’s wrong?” I sighed. Kenny was one of the only people who could tell what was wrong with me.
Wait, actually anyone could I have always been an open book. The thing with Kenny was that she was the only one I trusted with me darkest secrets.
Not that I have many but that’s another story.
“Come on, Ro you can tell me”
“Fine, I heard the question of Dom”
“Which one? Dom asked too many questions tonight.”
“The one of the score for looks”
“Ahhh… that one Rose” she put her hands on my shoulder firmly forcing me to look at her in the eye. “It doesn’t matter what Malfoy or the rest of the people think about you. If those people don’t know how beautiful you really are then, they are not really worth your time, are they?”
Tears began falling down my eyes it was so comforting to have someone like Kenize beside me. She pulled me onto hug and I began crying really hard on her shoulder.
“Easy there Ro. Hey, I’m not a lake in which you can cry!” I laughed and said.
“You really don’t know how to handle sad people don’t you Kenny?”
“No I can’t whenever someone is crying I usually stand awkwardly in the background coz I really don’t know what to tell them” she said slightly defeated.
I laughed a bit more at her words. And she looked at me surprised.
“You know Ro, only You, Dom, Rox, and my sister laugh at my bad jokes. I really don’t understand why.”
“I don’t know you can be funny sometimes only when you don’t really want to be funny when you try… your jokes are really bad”
“I’ll try to be more natural and wake up looking like a goddess just like Dom”
We looked at each other and said “Nah” at the same time.
Trust me when I say it’s impossible to wake up looking as good as Dominique Waesley.
“You know Ro, I got a good idea” I looked at her suspiciously whenever Kenny had an idea it was usually included breaking rules. Something that I don’t like to do very often.
“Oh come on ro, it’s nothing that bad” I narrowed my eyes at her. “Okay, okay it is a 2 month plan”
“2 months?”
“But it will be worth it, I promise”
“What for?”
“To get you a boyfriend!”
“No” I said flatly.
“Why not?”
“Why should I?”
“Because you will be happy”
“But my family, friends and school make me happy”
“Rose Nymphadora Weasley! Don’t you dare lie to me we both know you haven’t been having a good time in Hogwarts since 3rd Year!”
¿Que comes que adivinas Kenny?
“I won’t follow your plan if it involves trying to get me a boyfriend!”
“Then how about showing Malfoy that you are actually a goddess?”
“I’m not”
“Yes you are, stop degrading yourself Rose like this glasses or brackets are not going to change the fact that you are beautiful. Besides when they take those off you’ll end up looking even better than Dom”
“Okay, I give up I will follow your plan”
“Good now all we have to do…”
Okay so I know it’s kind of lame for an ending but I promise it will be worth!
Nicky and Gred if you are reading this the last part is for you guys. Like Kenize I am not good comforting people when they are sad.
Anyways…
The phrase ¿que comes que adivinas? Translated to english means “what do you eat that you guess” basically what rose is trying to tell us is that Kenny (or Kenize I prefer Kenny) has a very sharp mind and that can easily guess what other people are thinking.
Maybe in some more chapters I will introduce a new character that talks Spanish.
I have an idea I was planning to post a character profile after the end of each chapter. You know an extra page-maybe with a picture- with personal information about each character so you get to know them better.
