“Hey Molly, sorry, I must have dozed off. Do you know the time?” He asked and she smiled sympathetically before sitting down opposite them. The windows were still dark so he knew he hadn't been out long.
“Sure, it's just gone 10. Now would you please tell me what's happened?” Harry realised he had only been asleep about an hour, tops and he sighed but forgot about it as he started to tell Molly what had happened. Ginny had kept her up to date until Hermione had came into the hospital and so he told her that the people responsible had been caught and this caused him to realise that Hermione still didn't know that. “What room are they in, I'd like to go see her?” She asked him when he was finished.
“I'll show you the way, I need to tell Hermione they've been caught in any case,” he told her and then gently shook Ginny. “Ginny, your mam's here, you need to wake up,” he gently tried to wake up but she just frowned and tried to turn over. “Ginny,” Harry sat up, pulling her up with her and she opened her eyes with a frown.
“What was that, oh hey mam,” she looked confused and then she looked around and it dawned on her were she was. “What's happened? Is Hermione ok?” She asked, wondering why her mam was in the hospital.
“Nothing has happened, but I need to go see Hermione and I didn't want to leave you asleep, you coming?” Harry asked her and she yawned before nodding and taking his hand. He led them down to Hermione's room and he knocked quietly before opening the door. Hermione was awake but she put her finger to her lips and motioned to the chair in the corner of the room where Ron was asleep.
“Hello dear, how are you feeling?” Molly whispered as she bent down to give Hermione a tentative hug. As Hermione shrugged, then winced slightly, Harry noticed that her eyes were red, she looked like she had been crying again. “Have you been taking your potions?” Molly asked as she pulled up a chair next to Hermione's bed and Harry and Ginny stood next to the door. Hermione didn't answer and Molly pursed her lips before inspecting the bottles.
“Molly, really I don't-” Hermione started but Molly wasn't listing, she was looking at the charts that were next to Hermione's bed. After she had looked at the she glanced at the clock before picking up a few bottles.
“Now, you can take these now and the rest in about an hour or so, ok?” Hermione shook her head but Molly had already pushed one of the bottles into Hermione's hands. “You don't need to be fed them do you?” Hermione just looked at the bottle and shook her head, but avoided Molly's watchful gaze. She really didn't want to take them, she looked like she was going to cry and Harry wanted to step in but didn't know what to say; luckily Ginny saw it as well and nudged him in the side.
“Tell her the good news,” she muttered and he smiled at her before looking towards Hermione.
“Hermione, I've got some news for you,” Harry started and she looked up at him, letting her hand drop downwards and the bottle hit the floor. “We found the people who are responsible and they've been arrested. There will be a trial and then they will be sentenced,” Harry told her and she just looked at him, not sure what to say. A tear ran down her face and Ginny moved forward to give her a hug, but she shook her head.
“I'm fine, I just, I don't know,” she sighed and rubbed at her eyes impatiently. “I'll be ok, thank you Harry,” she told him and he nodded before yawning. “Go home, get some sleep,” she told him but he shook his head.
“I'll be fine, I've got to get back to the office shortly anyway. I need to sort out a trial for them, do you know when you'll be out of here?” He asked and she shook her head. A noise in the corner distracted them and Ron sat up, rubbing his eyes before noticing how full the room had become.
“Hey, what are you guys doing here?” He asked, running his hand through his hair and standing up. “Are you ok?” He asked Hermione as he noticed the tear tracks that had made there way down her face and he went to sit next to her on the bed.
“I just wanted to tell Hermione the good news, the people who did this have been caught and they'll be sentenced at a later date,” Harry told him and Hermione nodded.
“Oh, well that's good but why at a later date. Shouldn't it be sooner then later?” Ron turned to Harry who held his hands up in defence.
“I don't make the rules Ron, I just follow them and Hermione will need to be up and about before we can do anything because if she wants to sentence them then she'll have to provide a statement,” Harry told him and Ron frowned, his gaze turning towards Hermione.
“You do want to sentence them, don't you?” He asked and she nodded but she bite her lip and Ron just stared. “Please tell me you do?”
“I do, I do, I just don't want to have to go up in front of them and talk, especially not about what happened,” her voice took on a choking quality and her eyes started to water so Ron didn't argue. Instead he just put his arm around her and she closed her eyes.
“Hermione, take the potion. It'll make you feel better, honest,” Molly spoke up but Hermione shook her head. “Why not dear, they're not going to hurt you and you'll be able to go home much faster,” she tried but Hermione just closed her eyes.
“Mum, just leave it yeah, she'll take them when she's ready,” Ron told her and she frowned but didn't try to argue. A yawn broke the silence and Ginny mumbled sorry but Molly nodded.
“Come on, I think it's time to go but you know where I am if you need something, anything at all,” Molly told Ron who nodded and waved to Harry and Ginny who waved and walked out, Molly following them.
“Ginny, go get some sleep. I'll be home in a few hours, I just need to go to the office,” Harry told her and she nodded, her eyes almost closed. “I'll take you home first, you look like you'd fall asleep now,” Harry told her and saying goodbye to Molly he guided Ginny towards the exit, ready to apperate them home.
