Hello, Rose Weasley here and I already know what you're thinking right know. Probably something along the lines of 'Daughter of Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley the war time heroes? No way!' and yes you are correct but trust me I lead a very different life to my parents. I'm 21 years old and am working at St. Mungos as a healer. I don't live with my parents anymore as a matter of fact I'm living with my boyfriend. My dad doesn't really like the fact that I live with him or that I date him full stop. Why? Well it may have something to do with the fact that my boyfriend is Scorpius Malfoy. Well what can I say opposites attract.
I have to say I fallen into a usual routine everyday. Get up, eat breakfast, apparate to work, work, go home, eat dinner, sleep and repeat. So today was going to be slightly different seeing as Scorpius begged me to take a day off to go out with him. I finally decided to go when he pointed out that I hadn't go out anywhere with him in almost two months. Ahh guilt how I hate you.
I woke up early in the morning about to get ready for work when I felt an arm wrap around my waist and pull me back to bed.
Scorpius grinned at me. "Going somewhere"
"Yes" I replied, "As a matter of fact I'm going to wo..." I trailed off and looked at him. He smiled back innocently. "Whatever" I said as I climbed back into bed enjoying the warmth his body provided.
Scorpius wrapped his arms around me tighter and pulled me close. "So what do you wanna do today" he asked.
"You can chose" I smiled.
"Well to start off I was thinking we should make pancakes" he grinned.
"What do you mean we? Do you want the apartment set on fire, again?" I said.
Scorpius looked at me with pleading eyes. "Please?" he smiled.
"Fine" I groaned as I got out of bed and got changed into day clothes. I may be an atrocious cook but Scorpius was way to adorable to deny.
I walked into the bathroom and looked myself in the reflection. Gosh I looked tired! No wonder Scorpius wanted me to take a day off. I was looking a little pale and had bags under my eyes but nothing a little make up couldn't fix. I did my make up and quickly cast a charm to control my hair and walked out into the kitchen to find Scorpius already summoning the right ingredients.
I sighed. "I would like to apologize in advance for anything that may occur to this house during the process of making these pancakes"
Scorpius looked other at me with his eyebrow raised. "Come on you must have improved from last time"
Haha good joke Scorpius.
5 minutes later...
"ROSE! Your supposed to flip the pancake not the whole bloody pan" Scorpius waved his arms about his head frantically.
"I'm sorry! I told you this was a bad idea" I said as I picked up the pan with a glove and quickly cleaned up the mess with a wave of my wand.
Scorpius grimaced. "I'll finish making the pancakes you sit at the table and wait"
"Okay" I mumbled and walking out of the kitchen to the dining table feeling guilty about being practically useless in the kitchen. If only I had listened to my mother and learnt how to cook from Grandma. Ahh how I wish.
A little while later Scorpius came out of the kitchen levitating a huge plate of pancakes with ice-cream and strawberries on top. My favorite.
"I really am sorry Scorpius" he was too good to me.
He smiled as he set down the plate. "It's okay"
We began to eat our way through the pancakes. "So" I began, "What else are we doing today?"
"Well, I thought we could go do sone shopping and then go out for dinner or something" he smiled.
"That's sounds perfect" I grinned.
He sighed and looked down. "You really don't remember huh?" he muttered under his breath.
"What was that Scorp?" I asked cheerfully.
"Oh nothing, never mind I was just thinking about things" he smiled gently.
"Okay" I smiled feeling a little unconvinced by his explanation. "Whatever you say Scorpius"
We finished our breakfast and cleaned up. I quickly checked to see if my owl, Ophelia, had brought any mail in. There was nothing so I walked over to Scorpius and held his hand. "Let's go"
We apparated into Diagon Alley and I continued to hold onto Scorpius by the hand. "So where do you wanna go first" he asked looking down at me.
I grinned. "Can we go to Flourish & Blotts?" I asked like I child who was asking a parent for candy. Ew Scorpius as my parent that would be gross.
He chuckled. "Of course you'd want to go their first, let's go!" he started walking.
I smiled and walked after him. Diagon Alley was filled with Hogwarts students seeing as their next year of school was about to begin in a week.
"Do you miss it" Scorpius asked.
I nodded, "It's strange not being able to see my friends everyday or talk about classes and who's gonna win the house cup, I miss it"
"So do I" he said squeezing my hand gently. When we arrived at Flourish & Blotts Scorpius pulled open the door for me. "Ladies first"
I practically ran inside and immediately began looking at books. I heard Scorpius chuckling at my antics from behind me. Whatever just cause I love books. I looked at several different books until I saw one that that caught my eye. It was an old book on different potions that involved healing. I picked it up and ran up to the counter and was about to pay for it when Scorpius stopped me.
"I'll pay for that" he smiled at the shop owner and bought the book and handed it to me. "Here you go Rose"
I smiled, "You're too kind Scorpius" leaning up and kissing him on the cheek.
He flushed, "Anything for you today"
We spent the rest of the day wandering through Diagon Alley looking at my Uncle Georges new products and many other things. When it was about 4 in the afternoon we called it a day.
"Well I think that enough shopping" Scorpius grinned. "Now you go home and meet me later at that new place Sparks for dinner, I'll see you there" he kissed me on the forehead and walked off into the crowd.
I smiled and touched my forehead where he had kissed me. I quickly shook my head and apparated home. When I arrived home I had a good shower wondering how things at work were going. After 10 minutes I got out of the shower and prepared my self to meet Scorpius. I pulled on a black dress and straightened my hair with a charm and grabbed my bag and apparated to Diagon Alley.
I arrived safely and began to walk towards Sparks. I walked inside and gasped it was beautiful. The ceiling was enchanted to look like the sky just like in the dining hall at Hogwarts. A witch sitting at reception coughed and than spoke. "Do you have a reservation?" she asked peering over her glasses.
"Um, I'm meeting my boyfriend Scorpius Malfoy" I smiled slightly. She didn't look very nice.
"Ah yes Malfoy, that's private room number 7" she said gesturing to her right.
"Thank you" I quickly walked towards where she had pointed.
After arriving in front of the right door I pulled it open to find Scorpius standing beside a table for two holding flowers. He smiled at me and gave me the flowers. "Lilies because getting roses for a girl named Rose it too cliche"
I took them and smiled gratefully "Thank you for not following that dreadful cliche"
He pulled my chair out and helped me in. "So let's eat" he grinned sitting down opposite me.
As soon as the words left his lips a covered tray of food appeared and the table. He smiled and took of the lid to reveal some of my favorite foods. There was vegetarian pizza and sushi! I such a classy lady. Cough cough.
I grinned at him and began to eat. We talked about work and other things over dinner and I only then realized how little I had actually been paying attention to him lately. I felt a little bad. Scorpius works from home most of the time. He a junior writer at the Daily Prophet if you were wondering he writes the 'Whats New' column and from time to time he will pick up other columns that the senior writers will give to him.
"Want desert" Scorpius looked up at me.
"Of course I do what kind of Weasley doesn't like desert?" I asked like it was the most stupid question and in all honesty it was. I would have to hand in my license as a Weasley if I refused.
He smirked and a large slice of lemon cheesecake with ice cream appeared between us. "Okay Scorp now I just think you're trying to make me fat"
Scorpius laughed, "Can't a boyfriend be allowed to treat his skinny girlfriend once in a while?"
"Of course" I smiled.
When we both finished the cake. Scorpius laced his fingers with mine. "Close your eyes Rose"
I closed my eyes a little reluctantly. And felt him place something in my hands. When I opened my eye I saw a small box in my hand and opened it. Inside was a beautiful locket that on the inside had a photo of us and on the the outside has R & S craved into it.
I let him place it around my neck and then kissed him gently on the lips. "I love it Scorpius but if you continue to spoil me on such random occasions I'll get all stuck up" I laughed.
He chuckled half-heartedly and looked down. "Yeah random occasions" he mumbled.
"Come let's go hone Scorpius" I laced my fingers with his. "It's been a fun day and I couldn't thank you more"
We walked outside of the restaurant and I couldn't help but get the feeling that I had forgotten something important. Oh well it was probably something stupid. We apparated home and I hugged Scorpius. "Thank again Scorp you're the best"
He blushed and scratched his head embarrassed. "Anything for you today" he said again.
I smiled at him and walked into our room to change into my pajamas. I walked to the bathroom and brushed my teeth. I looked in the mirror and scrunched up my forehead. What have I forgotten this is so infuriating! I put my hair up in a messy bun and then climbed into bed next to Scorpius. I reached for my new book when Scorpius stopped my arm.
"Come on you don't need to read that know Rose" he chuckled. "You'll be way to tired for work tomorrow
"Yes Dad" I replied teasingly. Again ew, I have to stop calling Scorpius my parent.
I kissed him on the cheek and snuggled closer. "Goodnight"
He put his arm around my waist. "Night Rose, sleep well" he whispered.
I heard him whisper something else and than I slowly fell asleep.
