Every good story starts at the end, but it isn’t just my end that makes this story, the endings of the love of a Ravenclaw and Slytherin have been happening for almost a thousand years, though only four have been recorded from beginning to end. This is the story of my family’s curse, the Curse of Slytherin and Ravenclaw. We all were doomed from the first moment our blue-green eyes met those piercing emeralds or stormy greys. These are the stories of Rowena, Helena, Alexandra, Audrey and I and our journey to freedom.

“I promise you Rowena Ravenclaw that it will not just be your lifetime full of suffering due to this betrayal but that of your descendants as well!” Salazar grabbed her waist and pulled her to him, tears flowing freely.

“Goodbye Salazar.”

“Baron! If you truly loved me you would leave me to die in peace without any kind of interference from my mother!” Helena took down the hood of her cloak and watched as the Baron’s grip changed on his sword.

“Helena, listen to me!” He stepped forward to try to reason with her whilst feeling his anger rise.

“I’ve done so already, now leave me in peace!”

“Good day!”

“You promised.” Alexandra’s eyes were full of hurt as she watched Gellert.

“I am not bound by the honor of bearing a name of supremacy, Alexandra.” He sneered.

“Don’t leave me.”

“I am not daft, Tom. I know how to talk to Helena.” Audrey shook her head. “How could you?”

“Audrey” Tom made a move towards her with open arms but she slapped them away and moved backwards.

“I don’t know you anymore, you’ve changed.” Audrey’s eyes filled with tears and she turned.

“I am still your Tom, Audrey.” He smiled smile that would have been charming years ago, before he developed his snake-like features. “I did this so that, should anything happen to me-”

She whipped around and slapped him. “What kind of man are you!? It is dark magic Tom!!”

His eyes turned a blood red and she gasped. “Audrey, please just listen to me for five minutes.”

“No! You and your pureblood supremacy Tom, I don’t want any part in it!”

Astoria Greengrass looked down at the body of Voldemort and his unseeing red eyes stared back. Some would have been unnerved by this, she was not. Through the night Astoria’s dark curled hair had fallen out of its messy bun and now framed her pale heart-shaped face.

She turned to see who was calling her. Her light green-blue eyes found Helena Ravenclaw’s ghost.

“What are you trying to do by looking at him?” Helena glided towards Astoria who turned back to the dark lord.

“I’m trying to make his death seem more real. Is it really over Helena? Do anymore of our descendants have to go through what we all did?”

Helena smiled sadly.

“It is done; no longer will an heiress of Ravenclaw be killed by an heir of Slytherin. The last one is dead while Ravenclaw lives on in the Malfoy name.”

Astoria’s eyes filled with tears of happiness and lose.

“I wish Audrey could have seen this.”

Helena smiled and nodded just as Draco Malfoy rounded the corner. He caught sight of Astoria and ran towards her. She turned just as he enveloped her in his arms, hoping he would never have to let her go.

A/N: The beginning to a short  story which had been floating around in my head for a while. Not to be as long as Scarlett, just a short story or novella
