Background: Font color:
While Ginny and I had gone to the spa, Mother had written and owled the wedding invitations, including all of my friends, even Harry, as well as pureblood society. Harry respectfully declined as it was not quite safe for him to be close to possible death eaters, and he still didn’t quite trust Draco.
The four days of shopping and relaxation in London had been fun, but imposed upon the large amount of body guards surrounding me and Ginny the entire time.
We had found the perfect wedding and bridesmaids dresses, Pansy of course would be standing up in the wedding as well. We didn’t hang out too much, because I didn’t live I the Slytherin dorm, but we spent time as a group and she was a good friend.
Besides finding the dresses we shopped for shoes, jewelry, and other accessories. Now that I was going to be married and attend many society functions, I was fitted for several gowns, and then casual wear that would be more appropriate for a wife and not a teenage girl.
At the spa, we had a daily massage, a facial, a mud bath, manicure and pedicure. Then we had gone to the hair salon and I had my hair lightened a little and trimmed so that it once again shone like silk.
Now we were back at Zabbini manor and the day for my wedding had arrived.
Mum brought breakfast to me in bed, a fruit display, Belgian waffle and some orange juice. Once I had eaten, Mum ran a bubble bath for me and I soaked in the tub for a while Minni my house elf assisted with washing my hair in vanilla shampoo and conditioner.
I brushed my teeth, I was not about to let somebody do that for me, how embarrassing.
Narcissa soon arrived and brought with her a few house elves to assist with hair and make-up.
I was seated in a chair while one elf curled my black strands and pinned them around a silver tiara complete with a large oval sapphire on my head. Another elf, worked diligently on my make-up, applying a foundation that matched my skin flawlessly, a pink rose blush to my cheekbones, a black eyeliner and mascara, with a silver eye shadow.
Ginny and Pansy soon arrived and were already dressed in their emerald silk gowns. Both looked fantastic.
“Time to get the beautiful bride dressed.” Mum said with glee, tears in her eyes. I smiled at her.
Currently dressed only in my silk white chemise, I stood up. Ginny handed me a garter and I blushed.
“I want that back.”
Mum and Narcissa brought the gown out and slipped it over my head. The white silk cascaded down my body, pearls surrounding the hems of the dress, and the lace sleeves started low enough that it still left my shoulders exposed.
“Okay, you are perfect.”
“No wait.” Narcissa said.
“Something old and something new, something borrowed something blue.” Pansy finished.
“Well your Tiara has a sapphire so that completes something blue, the dress is new, and the garter is borrowed…” Mum said as she came to stand behind me and wrapped around my neck an emerald necklace and draped droop earrings to match.
“These were my great-grandmother’s and now they are yours, as it is tradition for each bride in our family to wear them.”
“Thank you they are beautiful.”
“Only the best for my little girl.” She says as she kisses my head.
An elf slipped my feet into the silver heels and I was ready.
Ginny and I walked into the parlor which would open the doors at the back of the ballroom in just a few minutes and I would descend my way into marriage.
“Ginny you are my best friend.”
“And you are mine.”
We smiled and then the cannon in D began its hymn and Pansy, and Ginny walked down the aisle. Dad came up next to me and offered me his arm.
“You look beautiful princess.”
“Are you ready”
“To give Draco my heart, always, for marriage, I’m not sure, but I do know that with Draco, I am all I’d ever want to be, so thank you for giving me that.”
“I know.” The bridal march played and before I relized what was going on, I was halfway down the aisle in the center of the magnificent ballroom all eyes on me, but I had eyes, only for Draco’s bright and shining face. I smiled at him and I could see him trying to hold tears back.
When we reached him, father put my hand into Draco’s and we faced eachother.
“Welcome guests of the Malfoy and Zabbini families, you are here today to witness the union of Serena Ceres Zabbini and Draco Lucius Malfoy. If there are any objections to this piece, speak now or forever hold your piece.” The minister began.
“Very well, Draco Lucius Malfoy, to you take Serena to be your lawful wedded wife, to have and to hold, to love and to cherish to care for and respect, in sickness and In health, in good times and in bad from this day forward and forever?”
“Serena ceres Zabbini, do you take Draco to be your lawful wedded husband, to have and to hold, to love and to cherish to care for and respect, in sickness and In health, in good times and in bad from this day foreward and forever?”
“The couple wishes to express their own vows to celebrate their union.”
“Draco Malfoy, I love you and I will always love you, and with that declaration I promise to be a wife to you, a mother to your children, to respect you in all things and confide in you always.”
“Serena Zabbini, I love you more than anything in this entire world, and I promise from this day on to respect you in all things, to treat you always as my equal, to not impose any actions you do not wish done, and to be a husband to you and a father to our children, and to confide in you always.”
“These rings are a symbol of this union.” The minister said after we had exchanged our vows.
“With this ring I thee wed.” Draco pronounced and slipped the diamond band onto my finger
“With this ring I thee wed.” I repeat and in turn slip his platinum ring onto his finger.
“I now pronounce you Husband and wife, you may kiss the bride.”
Draco leaned into me and softly, ever so gently, kissed me on my lips, before pulling back.
“Serena Malfoy.” He said. “That has a ring to it.”
“Indeed it does.”
We turned and faced the applauding crowd of our friends and families.
