Harry, Ron, Ginny, Hermione, Mr and Mrs Weasley, Charlie, Bill, Fleur, Percy and George
all Apparated back to the Burrow in a sombre mood.
Harry would normally feel happy being back home but he couldn’t make himself be, they
had all lost so much to Voldemort and his stupid death eaters. He had lost his parents and
his godfather and countless friends to their sadistic propaganda.
They entered the Burrows kitchen and all sat down at the table, looking around, Harry
noticed it wasn’t the same warm cosy home that he had been in many times before, it was
cold and it looked like it had been ransacked.
As if reading his mind, Hermione said in a timid voice ‘Has somebody been here?’
‘
Yes, dear the Death Eaters searched the whole place when they realised that Ron was
with you, we all managed to escape and go into hiding underground’ replied a choked up
Mrs Weasley , her eyes were red from crying.
'Does anyone want anything to eat’ Bill
added.
‘Yes, can we have some sausages’ asked Ron?
‘Well I suppose you better, you all look very skinny, I think everyone needs to be fattened
up a bit. Harry and Ron both look like they’ve had stretching jinxes put on them.’ Mrs
Weasley replied.
‘Yeah well we’ve lived off Hermione’s cooking for the past ten months, it would be nice to
get a warm meal’ said Ron, earning a slap from both Hermione and Mrs Weasley.
After a full three course meal, they all went to bed. Harry was in Ron’s room like before.
They all slept for a whole day and when everyone eventually got up Mrs Weasley tended
to their wounds, Harry was the worst and Mrs Weasley done the best she could but there
were still lots of cuts and bruises all over his body, legs and arms. After everyone was
cleaned up and dressed. Mrs Weasley made a delicious breakfast of pancakes with maple
syrup. Harry, Ron, Ginny, Bill, Charlie and Percy played a game of Quidditch to take their
minds of what had happened, it worked a little but they still had flashing memories of the
battle.
Harry and Ginny played chaser and Ron played keeper for their team and Bill and Percy
were chasers and Charlie was a keeper for the other team. The final score was one
hundred and twenty to eighty four to Harry, Ron and Ginny, they played for around three
hours
Then they had a lunch of chicken sandwiches and pumpkin juice over a loud discussion of
the match. Charlie and Ron were arguing over Ron’s last save, Charlie thought that Ron
hanging upside down by his feet was illegal but Ron pointed out that he got away with it
at Hogwarts and that shut Charlie up.
Harry walked with Ginny around the Burrow’s garden to the Orchard and to Ginny’s
favourite tree. They sat down and talked for ages about nothing in particular, Quidditch,
life, music and about their future. Harry looked into Ginny’s chocolate brown eyes and
lifted up her chin and kissed her passionately on the lips. The kiss deepened and only
stopped when Ginny pulled away. She was worried what her family would be like if the
caught her kissing Harry like that. They walked to the house hand in hand. They were
together finally.
Forever.
