To my inspiration for the Barrow sisters, thank you for being amazing.

“Have you actually lit the fire at all this week?” Remus asked as he sat down on the couch in James’ living room, shivering from coldness of the weather outside in addition to the icy temperature inside James’ house.

“I suppose not, I’ve been out most of this week so I haven’t needed it.” James replied, passing Remus his cup of English Breakfast tea and a woolen blanket. “I’ve been on errands to all sorts of places for Dumbledore, I’ve been running around so much that I haven’t even had time to feel the cold.” Remus sent him an apologetic look before he took a sip of his tea.

“Has it been fun though? I mean, do you enjoy the idea of the Order?” James sighed, taking a sip of his own tea before answering his friend.

“I know I’ll love it once we actually get started, I want to be able to catch Death Eaters and do stakeouts and what not but this errand-running business is nowhere near the definition of fun.” Remus chuckled slightly, “Honestly Remus, you wouldn’t even find this stuff fun.”

“It must be terrible then, you know how I love running those errands,” he teased, rolling his eyes slightly at his friend. Remus was yet to be sent on any errands for the Order of Phoenix since the six of them had agreed to join a week ago. In fact, James was the only one who’d be given anything. While James was complaining about it, Remus knew that all of the others, including himself, would have done anything even errand running just because it would be Order related in some way. Alas, Dumbledore hadn’t given them any jobs or news as of yet.

“What about the rest of you? Got anything yet?” James asked casually, though Remus could tell his was practically shaking with excitement- though James detested doing this errands, he did quite enjoy rubbing them in Sirius’ face when it came to it.

“Nothing yet, everyone’s getting a little antsy about it though, as suspected.”

“Sirius, I suppose.” James said with the hint of a smirk on his face, Remus nodded.

“And surprisingly, Coralie’s getting a little desperate for something to do. I think she’s a bit lost without Angus at home.”

“I suppose those two are a little similar, aren’t they?” Remus shrugged his shoulders slightly, “Pity that Sirius didn’t take our advice and get her back for Peakes swept her off her feet. Those two are essentially the same person now.”

“He’s really good to her,” Remus added, with a slight tone of disappointment in his voice. “He’s a great guy and she trusts him wholeheartedly, but I can’t help but think that she and Sirius would have been perfect for each other. I think they need each other more than they’d like to admit.” James frowned.

“Coralie could protect him from Shelena,” he stated, “I’m worried he’s going to fall back into her and we’ll lose him forever. She’ll ruin his life if he gets caught up with her again.”

“I hope he realises that before it’s too late.” Remus adds.

“Who needs to realise things before it’s too late?” Sirius interrupted, throwing his leather jacket and motorcycle keys onto the floor before joining Remus on the couch.

“Nobody,” James responded with a sad smile, before turning back to the kitchen and bringing out cups of tea for Sirius and Peter- when he arrived two minutes afterwards.

“Look at this, the Marauders all back together again and all changed. Peter’s not eating his weight in cake every morning anymore, I’ve got my own flying motorcycle and my own place, Remus is on his way to becoming a icicle and James is a housewife! Oh, how we’ve changed.” Sirius exclaimed, pouncing on Peter and James and sending them crashing down onto Remus. With the power of all three of them, the others managed to push him off and send resounding smacks to the back of his head.

“When are the girls getting here?” Peter asked, his voice muffled by the ground and the weight of Sirius on his back.

“Girls, do tell!” Sirius winked, pulling himself off Peter’s back in order to check his appearance.

“It’s just Lily and Cora, no one you haven’t already tried before.” James answered dryly as he attempted to flatten his own hair before Lily arrived- he was unsuccessful.

“I reckon I’ve still got a chance there.” He answered, his usual flirty grin plastered on his face but it fell slightly as the other boys sent him a look.

“One, If you so much as look at Lily as anything other than a friend or perhaps sister, I will personally tear you apart or even better I’ll watch as she does.” James replied, raising his eyebrows as if to challenge Sirius to try him.

“Secondly, Nate would tear you apart and then sew you back together only to rip you apart again if you touched Cora.” Remus added.

“You may be tough Padfoot, but I don’t think even you could survive Peakes’ rage.” Peter said with a small frown.

“Thank you for the gallons of confidence that you all ooze. Besides Prongs, Lily really isn’t my type or rather she would have been but now she’s been with you- I’d have to burn my first layer of skin off if I ever touched her.” Sirius responded, flopping back into the couch. The others waited for him to add something about Coralie, they even sent him looks that told him their thoughts but he completely ignored them and kept quiet.

“Padfoot?” Peter urged, eventually voicing their views. Sirius glanced up at him and raised his eyebrows in a casual manner.

“This is where you promise that you won’t go near Cors.” James urged him, “You know, you repeat a similar sort of thing.” Sirius stared blankly at them all for a moment before diverting his eyes to the floor for a second, when he looked back up he wore a proud smirk on his face.

“I can’t tell you that, I’ve already fancied Cora before and I must say, I reckon I could make it through that again.” Remus’ face fell slightly at his friend’s confession, the other two also stared blankly at him.

“But Padfoot,” James started, “Generally, in order to fancy a girl again, you have to stop fancying them in the first place.” Sirius’ eyes widened for a split second before he built up his cocky attitude again.

“So, when are they going to get here?” He responded, pretending like he was the king of cool again though all of three of the Marauders saw through it but they did not dare pressure Sirius for any details- they knew that would never work.

“They should be here any minute now.” James answered, collapsing back into his chair as the room fell into an uncomfortable silence. Soon enough, there was a knock at the door and the boys all sprang to action.

“Afternoon boys.” Lily said, a suspicious tone in her voice as she eyed each of them over a few times before taking the seat beside James or rather on top of him. Coralie nodded and smiled to each of them before taking a spot next to Remus who offered her the other half of his blanket.

“So, let me tell you all about how amazing it is to be in the Order.” James broke the silence between them all, the rest of them let out groans and threw pillows towards their friend as he tried to shelter himself behind Lily.

Dear Sarah (and Tyler, who I know will probably steal this out of my owl’s mouth before she has delivered this to Sarah),
I’m not sure whether Cassie has been sending you letters recently but I received my first one this morning from Angus. He tells me that the two of them have been made partners in both Transfiguration and Potions- I think that Slughorn might believe our families belong together. He’s even told me how amazing your sister is at Potions and how terrible he thinks he is- another thing that seems to run in both of our families. He’s got some crazy stories about Cassie too that had me almost rolling on the floor, I’ve already written back to him and told him that he must simply send you them too as I feel neither Cassie nor I would be able to do the stories justice and without any bias.

He’s also asked if both of us (and you Tyler, if you find it necessary) to join the two of them in John’s bar for their first Hogsmeade visit at the end of October. It turns out that the two of them have decided they are going to be quite wonderful friends for each other- and only friends as Angus is sure to remind me, another thing our families have in common. It seems us Barrows and Bennetts were made for each other- Sorry Tyler.

Love you dearly,
Coralie.

Dear Coralie,
I feel almost like we’re back at Hogwarts and on summer break sending these letters to one another rather than just dropping around, I must say I do love that feeling! Your little note at the start was quite on the mark, Tyler had been practically living here 24/7 every day since Cassie left for Hogwarts and he was in fact the one who gave me your letter- granted, the seal had been broken. He’s reading over my shoulder as I write and demands that I tell you that he is disappointed with you, as usual I have no idea what he is going on about nor do I think that either of us really care. And now he’s stormed off to go and sulk outside for a while, Good riddance I say!

Cassie has yet to write to me, she likes to keep me in the dark with these kind of things. She says its mysterious, and she really likes mysteries. I can’t wait to hear Angus’ stories about my sister, I’m already starting to plan how I can tease her about them for the rest of her natural life.

I would be delighted to accompany you, Angus and Cassie to John’s bar on that weekend. I miss our Hogsmeade weekends like crazy already. Of course, I won’t be able to keep Tyler away (he insists on following me around like a lost puppy because he thinks it’ll be good training for some big event coming up- at this point I usually zone out). Us Barrows and Bennetts do seem to be made for each other, which leads me to beg you to come and visit later this week before I’m driven insane.

Love,
Sarah and Tyler.

Authors Note: Well hey there! I did actually plan on putting this up on Friday but then one of my dearest friends (and readers) told me that she wouldn't be able to read the chapter on Friday and so I ended up posting today instead. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter and I will see you next Friday!
