“Hey father, look at that girl!” Scorpius Malfoy said to his father Draco Malfoy. They were in Hopkins Potions shop in Diagon Alley getting new potions ingredients for Malfoy Manor. Luckily, Scorpius had inherited his father’s love for potions and they bonded over hours of potion making. The sixteen year old boy was staring at a young girl of a similar age; she had dark brown hair and green eyes and was looking around for various potion ingredients. Draco smiled to himself and thought back to when he was that age. He would never have said something like that to his father and was grateful that Scorpius and he had a better relationship.
Draco looked up to see which girl Scorpius was talking about; there was only one girl besides them in the shop so she was not hard to miss. His breath caught in his throat when he looked at her and it felt like someone was squeezing his heart.
“What do you think father, she’s beautiful isn’t she?” Scorpius said. Draco was thankful that he had learned how to completely mask his emotions.
“Yes she is, son.” Draco was so affected by this young girl because she looked exactly like a girl he was very close to when he was younger, she meant so much to him but somehow they did not end up together. He had married Astoria Greengrass, but that only lasted a few years. She had moved on already and lived in Italy. He looked after Scorpius and preferred it that way, he was thankful to Astoria for giving him Scorpius. This girl looked exactly like Pansy Parkinson.
“Should I go and talk to her? She does not go to Hogwarts, I would have definitely have noticed her before!”
“Yes, go and introduce yourself Scorpius.”
Scorpius walked over to the girl and as the shop was not very big Draco could hear everything being said. He pretended not to listen but he had to find out who this girl was. Scorpius was already chatting to her and found out her name was Georgina. She attended Bauxbatons Academy but would be transferring to Hogwarts for her sixth and seventh year.
“My mother decided to move back to England so she thought it better to move me to Hogwarts, she went to school there!” Georgina was saying. Just then the shop door opened and Draco looked up to see none other than Pansy Parkinson walk into the shop, he had not seen her in years. She was as beautiful as ever but just a little older. She stopped and looked over at Georgina and Scorpius and froze. Draco guessed that she saw him in Scorpius as well.
“Georgina, have you picked out what you need I am in a hurry, we are late to meet your grandmother.” Pansy said to her daughter. Draco knew this was her daughter when he first laid eyes on her.
“Yes mother, this is Scorpius and this is my mother Pansy. He goes to Hogwarts mother and we are in the same year!” Georgina said smiling at her mother.
“It is a pleasure Scorpius.” Pansy said also smiling.
“This is my father, Draco.” Scorpius said turning to his father. Pansy and Draco looked at each other for the first time in many years. All kinds of emotions were running through Pansy she did not know what to feel.
“Hello Draco.” Pansy managed in her most proper voice.
“Pansy.” Draco said with the small trademark smirk he never lost.
“Do you know each other father?” Scorpius asked looking to Pansy and then to Draco.
“Yes, son. We went to school together.” Draco said not being able to take his eyes off her.
“We have to go Georgina, excuse us Draco, Scorpius.” Pansy paid for the potions ingredients and just before they left Draco’s voice stopped her.
“Pansy, I’ll write to you. It would be lovely to catch up again.”
“I’ll be expecting that letter.” She said with a smile before she left the shop. Georgina looked back at Scorpius before she left and said “I will see you at Hogwarts then Scorpius.”
“See you at school.” Scorpius said grinning.
