I blinked a few times, squinting due to the sunlight shining through the window. It took me a while to realise my sheets weren't blue, but green.
Last night hit me unexpectedly, and I sat up. I could hear the shower running, but then the sound disappeared, and soon Draco was standing in the doorway with nothing more than a towel hanging on his hips.
"You're awake," he said, clearly not the least trouble about being practically nude. Not that he had a reason to or anything…
"Yeah," I breathed, watching him as he made his way towards the dresser.
"Are you going to stop pretending you don't care?"
"I don't have much of a choice, do I?" He pulled on a pair of boxers, his eyes on me the whole time.
"Why did you tell me you love me?" I asked, pulling his duvet closer to my face.
"Because I do," he answered truthfully, zipping up a pair of trousers.
"Then why did you remove my memory?"
He came towards me and sat down on the bed, giving a thoughtful sigh.
"Because I wanted to keep you safe. You broke through my act, so I removed your memory of it to build up my act and keep you out easier."
I watched him closely; so glad his face was back to normal.
"Then you went and remembered everything."
"And that's a bad thing?" I asked, brushing some hair out of my face. Draco gave me a steady look, and half a smile. "Yes," he admitted, standing up again. "In all ways possible, I'm afraid."
"Of all the boys at it school, I had to fall for you. You!"
Draco chuckled, pulling a t-shirt over his head.
"That was foolish of you," he agreed, but I wasn't letting him off the hook that easy.
"It's your fault, you know."
"Mine?" Draco snorted, looking over at him like I was stupid.
"Oh, do not dare to give me that look! You stared flirting with me because of that stupid bet of yours with Zabini. You stared flirting with me, and then you went and kissed me."
Draco scratched the back of his head, and it seemed he had realised that I was actually right.
"So if you had only used your head, neither of us would have been in this mess."
"I guess I owe you an apology, then don't I?" He sat down on the bed and gave me half a smile. "Maybe," I agreed, smiling back.
"How do you prefer it?" he teased, slithering an arm around my waist and yanking me closer. I grinned foolishly, feeling butterflies in the pit of my stomach.
I took his perfectly lined face in my hands and brought it closer, smiling when he pressed his lips to mine.
"Jerk," I muttered, though my voice slightly muffled.
He pushed me down onto the bed, holding my hands securely above my head while straddling me.
"You need to stop being such an adult," Draco stated, his eyes playful.
"I do not act like an adult!"
Draco cocked an eyebrow at me, clearly not taking my sides of things.
"You're worse than my mother," Draco mocked, drawing a gasp from me.
"Take that back!" I cried, struggling to try and escape his grasp. I wriggled, trying my best to get away, but it seemed my trying to escape turned out differently.
I saw Draco's face cringe, before realising why.
I burst out in laughter, clearly enjoying this a tad more than him.
I grinned up at him, wrapping my legs around his hips.
"Oh, seriously?" asked Draco, looking down at me in plea. I bit my lip, loving this moment. I was actually in control for once. And I loved it.
Tightening my thighs, Draco closed his eyes and released one of my arms to pinch the bridge of his nose. "You're making matters worse, Kaya," he said, but I heard he didn't mind.
"Oh, I'm making matters better," I grinned, and with all my strength (luckily he didn't object), I pushed Draco over so that our positions changed.
Draco just lay beneath me, simply watching me with amusement.
"You get turned on quite easy, Mr Malfoy."
He sat up and supported himself with his elbows, raising his eyebrows.
"That's only because you're grinding yourself all over me."
"Excuse me?" I laughed, crossing my arms over my chest. "Are you accusing me of anything?"
"Only of getting me horny," he stated, and I could feel a smug smile grow on my face. "Which, by the way, I'm expecting you to do something about pretty soon."
"I thought you could take a cold shower? Those usually work, don't they?"
I braided some of the hair hanging over my shoulder, knowing I looked smug as hell.
"I've had enough cold showers to last me a lifetime the last few months. Now that this," he pointed a finger between himself and me, "seems to be working, I'm expecting you to make sure I don't need any more cold showers."
His grey eyes sliced into mine, but this time I was in control.
"Well, I'd say you could use a few more cold showers to co down that ego of yours."
Oh, his face was so worth it. Oh, I have never seen a more shocked face in my life. "Oh, look how cute you are when you're shocked!"
I bent over to kiss him, and he more than happily greeted me.
I groaned into my pillow, trying to cover my ears with it. "Dracoo! Turn it off…"
"I'm in the shower!"
Stretching out my arm, I smashed down everything on the nightstand, and considering the beeping stopped, I'd say mission completed.
It was peaceful and quiet for a while – until Draco came waltzing out of the shower.
"Kaya, what the hell?"
"I want to sleep in. So let me sleep in, or you will regret."
I could hear his smirk, I could feel it. Bastard…
"As you wish," he muttered, and I heard the wardrobe doors open and close, before I drifted off again.
