“Gotcha.” James said, grabbing my arm and pulling me up. “It’s one of those trick stairs. Likes to move a lot.”
We were really close, James’s grasp still on my arm. Let’s not forget that Alexia is only two feet away from us.
“We’re going to be late.” Alexia snapped.
James quickly pulled away and we began to walk down the hall.
“Before I forget, Qudditch tryouts tonight.” James added as we walked through the door. “I better see you there.”

“Why am I doing this again?” I asked Roxie, holding a school broom. “I haven’t played Qudditch since I was fourteen.”
“Because James practically begged you to and you didn’t want to upset him.” Roxie replied, holding her beater’s bat over her shoulder.
“Why did I agree? I haven’t played since I was…you know. I probably don’t even have the body I need anymore.” I said, lowering my voice. “Having a kid can really mess up your Qudditch career.”
“Dude, this kid had James’s DNA.” Roxie whispered in the same tone. “He needs both his parents to be amazing Qudditch players.”
I felt something brush along my leg and I spun around to see an ear lying at my feet. A ear? I bent down and picked it up, finding out that the ear hand a long cord attached to it.
“Hey, those are one of my dad’s inventions. Extendable ears.” Roxie said. “Where did you find that?”
“On the ground next to me. What do they do?” I asked.
“Oh they help extend your hearing. Hence the name.” Roxie said.
“Could the person be able to hear our conversation?”
“Of course they…” Roxie trailed off. “Alexia.”
I nodded. “What if she found out about Tyler? Alexia can’t know about Tyler. James doesn’t even know about him.”
“We can’t assume it was Alexia.” Roxie said. “We have to think positive.”
“Ferguson and Richter.”
“Go on.” Roxie said, pushing me forward. “Don’t think about the ear either.”
I mounted my broom and got up into the air.
“Ready?” Rose asked, holding the quaffle. “It’s like a mock game. Avoid buldgers and try to score twenty points as quickly as possible.”
The rules were simple enough. The whistle was blown and we dashed off. Rose to me to rose back to me to Richter to rose to me then score. All in about a minute. The next ten points were just as easy and soon we were back on the ground.
“Very good.” James said before he called out the next pair.
Since Roxie had to trade spots out with her brother, I was alone. That was until Alexia came over.
“I know.” She said.
I knew that ear had the stench of skank on it.
“Know what?” I asked. “You know that you’re an utter cow?”
“Insults don’t matter darling.” Alexia smirked. “I know all about your precious little son, Tyler. Isn’t that his name? Who’s his Daddy again? Oh that’s right,
my boyfriend.”
“I knew it was you listening into my conversation with Roxie.” I snarled.
“Now, now, no need to be rude.” Alexia laughed. “If you do one little thing for me, know one will know about little baby Tyler.”
She’s black mailing me! I can’t believe she’s black mailing me. I refuse to be black mailed. But then again, she knows about Tyler. I wouldn’t put it past her to tell the whole school, to tell James.
“What do you want?” I asked.
“Oh, it’s simple. I don’t want you talking to James.” Alexia smiled. “If you make the team, that’s the only time you may speak to him. And keep it to the very minimum.”
“Fine.” I agreed. “Just don’t tell a single soul about Tyler.”
“I swear on my Grandfather’s grave.” Alexia said, walking away.

After tryouts, I went up to my dorm and stayed there. I skipped supper and free time, just crawled under my covers and stayed there. I just couldn’t believe that Alexia found out about my little baby. I slipped Tyler’s picture back into my dresser drawer and looked up at the ceiling.
“Nikkole?” China whispered. “I brought you up some dinner since you missed it.”
“I’m not hungry.” I murmured, rolling over.
I wanted to talk to Roxie about this. She had a slight understanding of this.
“Well, you should eat.” China pressed. “James also posted who made the team. You made it Nikkole.”
“Did I?” I asked. “That’s nice.”
“Nikkole, what is wrong with you?” China asked. “Are you sick or something?”
“It’s nothing.” I answered. “The less people who know, the less trouble there’ll be.”
“Nikkole, I’m just worried about you.” China said. “I promise you can trust me with your secret.”
I sighed. China was a trusting person.
“What would you do if I told you I was a mum?”
“I would be fine with it.” China whispered. “Nikkole, you didn’t have to hide that from us.”
“Not to mention the Daddy is James Potter.” I added.
“Oh,” China squeaked. “Well, that’s okay. Who are we to judge you?”
“Alexia found out.” I whispered. “I can’t have anyone finding out about Tyler. So I agreed to her one term.”
“Which is?” China asked.
“I will never talk to James unless I have to.”
Tyler, Mummy is so sorry she failed.
Author’s note- This is on the shorter side and I’m so sorry. This has to be the best story I’ve ever written and your reviews are my motivation. So please leave one? I love them. I want this story to have twenty chapters so I hope you continue with it J
