Chapter 11 : Sleepovers
| ||Rating: Mature||Chapter Reviews: 7|
Change Background: Change Font color:
“James! His name is Scorpius. Say it with me. Scorp-i-us.” Rose should really let this whole thing go. It had been going on for years. It wasn’t going to stop.
“Mal-foy.” Rose let out an exasperated sigh and let herself in, pushing past James.
“James, I’ve been dating Scorp for nearly three years! Just call him by his first name! Even my dad calls him Scorpius! And you know how much he hated him at first!” she said in annoyance.
Ah, yes. When Rose and Scorpius first starting going out. Ron wouldn’t even look at Scorpius. We all thought it was because of he wasn’t too fond of the Malfoys, but then he told Rose it was because ‘his little girl was growing up’ or something like that. Although it took a year and a half to get Ron to warm up to him, Scorp and Ron got along really well now.
I know. It was weird.
James dismissed Rose’s comment. “Yes, but Scorpius is a stupid name – no offence—” Scorp just shrugged because he knew it was a terrible name. “—and so is Malfoy – no offence again – but it’s less stupid.”
Rose rolled her eyes and sat down next to me where I was eating my cereal. I was still in my pyjamas but I couldn’t care less. She asked, “Are you coming to the Burrow to get your N.E.W.T results?” I shrugged, not really caring if I went or not but she looked horrified.
“But it’s tradition! You have to!” she said, looking at me earnestly.
I swallowed my cereal and answered, “I guess it is but I probably won’t ever need me N.E.W.Ts. I won’t be able to get a proper job for about five years, and then I won’t have qualifications or anything. I want to be an Obliviator, but realistically it probably won’t happen. I mean sure, I might get a job there, but for now, I can’t do much, because if I get a job, I’m going to have to quit in—” I did a quick calculation: I was currently eighteen weeks so that was about four months; “—I would probably have to quit in about four months because there is no way I’d be working in the last month, and then that would be a pointless job so no one would want to hire me. So in conclusion, I don’t need my N.E.W.T’s for a while.”
Scorpius slid into the seat next to Rose, picked up a bit of MY toast and asked, “Why can you only work for four months? Are you going away?”
I looked incredulously at Rose whose eyes had widened when she realised she forgot to tell Scorpius. I fidgeted uncomfortably. “Erm… no…” I bit my lip and James snorted from behind me.
Scorpius looked confused and James said, “I need to go to work. So… bye.” He waved and Disapparated on the spot. Scorpius still looked extremely confused.
I bit my lip again and said, “Well – er… uh, I’m pregnant.”
Bam. His mouth dropped open and MY toast dropped from his hand. He paled – which was quite an accomplishment as Scorpius was very pale already – and said ever so intelligently, “Huh?”
Rose said, “James knocked her up. She got kicked out. She lives with James now. James and her are dating now. Old news, Scorp.”
He glared at her. “HOW COULD YOU HAVE NOT TOLD ME?!”
She rolled her eyes and replied, “Because, we’ve only been in contact by owl and phones. Did you want me to text you ‘Hope you’re having fun with the Pureblood maniacs. Oh and P.S, Reese is pregnant because of my twat of a cousin’?”
I started laughing and Rose just picked at her nail polish. Scorpius still hadn’t gotten over that I was pregnant. When the colour finally returned to his face he turned to me and said, “Is that why you look fat?”
I angrily punched his arm and Rose thwacked him on the back of the head. He slumped down on the table and groaned, “That hurt…”
“You deserve it, git. I’M NOT FAT!” I growled.
“WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU! DID YOU GET DROPPED AS A BABY?!” Rose shrieked.
I shook my head. “No, Rose, he wasn’t dropped. Astoria would never have done that. Maybe she threw him at a wall because she knew he had no hope?” I teased.
Rose grinned and slapped him on the head again for good measure. He groaned into the table, “No! I didn’t mean it in a bad way! It came out wrong! Please don’t hurt me!”
With my hand hovering dangerously near his arm, I asked, “Then how did you mean it, Malfoy?”
He flinched. “Your stomach is starting to show! No! Please don’t punch me!” he squealed. Too late. I punched him at the same time as Rose did.
We weren’t violent. Not at all.
I knew that my stomach had been getting bigger but I thought I’d been hiding it quite well. Although, I could see why it was noticeable, I was in a singlet top that wasn’t that tight when I first bought it. But now, it was basically skin-tight.
Rose did a double take at my stomach. I looked down self-consciously; yeah it was getting bigger but was it that obvious? It was there but it wasn’t huge was it? I bit my lip and looked at the heap that was Scorpius.
“It isn’t that bad, is it?” I said nervously. He glanced up, shook his freakishly blonde head and put his head on the table again (Rose had punched him in an indelicate area).
Rose immediately said, “No! It isn’t! I promise it’s fine!” I could tell she was lying because the tips of her ears would turn red.
“You’re lying,” I said. “I can’t believe I’m fat!” I wailed.
Scorpius lifted his head from the table again and said, “Reese, you’re going to get even fa—” Rose glared at him, so he quickly back-tracked, “—I mean bigger—” He glanced at Rose, who nodded; “—so you may as well not worry about it now.”
He had a point actually. In January I was going to be a bloody mountain. I pondered his words and then nodded slowly. I told him, “Fine. But if you ever say I’m fat again I won’t be happy.” I ate the last bits of my cereal and stormed dramatically into the kitchen.
Rose followed me. “Reese, you never answered my first question.” I looked at her in confusion and she clarified, “About coming to the Burrow? Everyone’s going there tomorrow. Are you coming?”
I made a face. “I might come,” I said reluctantly. Rose then stared at me sadly and I couldn’t resist that look, she was too damn adorable. I sighed in defeat and she squealed and hugged me.
“Great! It’s going to be so much fun!” she said excitedly.
I rolled my eyes and she then led me back to the table. I sat down opposite her and Scorpius and looked at the pair of them suspiciously. They were planning something.
Rose sang, “Guess what?” I shrugged and Scorpius pouted at me.
“You’re meant to guess, Reese!” he said petulantly.
I rolled my eyes again. “I’m not guessing. Just tell me!” I said, leaning forward eagerly.
They both grinned at me. Rose said, “We’re getting an apartment together!”
My mouth dropped open. “That’s great! What did your dads say?!” I said, grinning at the two of them.
Scorpius said, “Dad offered to put some money in but Ron…”
Rose looked guilty. “You haven’t told him have you?” I guessed.
She shook her head. “I would have but, but – he’s gonna get so mad.”
“If you don’t tell Ron today, I won’t go to the Burrow. You have to tell him about it,” I said. She narrowed her eyes at me and I just poked my tongue out at her.
Finally she agreed and we shook hands.
We were cool like that.
“REESE! I TOLD HIM! I TOLD HIM!” Rose was practically skipping with joy. Must have gone well then.
“Went well then?” She grinned and nodded like a niffler in Gringotts.
“Yes! I told him and he was like, ‘Okay… Did you need some money to get started?’ I was so shocked and when I asked him why he wasn’t exploding in rage he said, ‘You’re an adult, Rosie, I can trust you and you are a sensible and responsible young woman’ blah blah… I sorta tuned out in his ‘Rosie is a responsible and respectable young woman’ speech that happens every time I do something mature.
“Mum was sad that I was leaving her but other than that, they were happy! Hugh didn’t seem too upset but I think he just wanted the extra room—” She rolled her eyes; “—and Dad then started saying how he remembers when I was a baby and started reminiscing about the good old days when Hugo and I couldn’t talk la-di-dah… Mum kept hugging me and she was nearly crying and—”
“Rose! Stop! You need to breathe!” She rolled her eyes (I don't know how she didn’t get dizzy with the amount of times she rolled them) and said, “Now you have to come to the Burrow! Start packing we have to leave!”
I frowned. “But you said tomorrow!”
“I lied. Go pack! Chop-chop!” I rolled my own eyes and went into the bedroom. It was so obvious James and I slept in here. There were clothes everywhere. We just chucked them on the floor and picked them up when we need them.
Rose followed me in and appalled at the mess, she said, “This is where you sleep?! It looks like a pigsty!”
I ignored that and started picking up some clothes. Rose let out an exasperated sigh, did some swishy thing with her wand so that my clothes folded and tucked themselves away in a duffel bag.
She was always clever.
She sniffed at the mess disdainfully and then performed the same spell, but instead of going to my bag, they went back in the wardrobe.
James would be horrified.
When I finally arrived at the Burrow, everyone was already there.
Rose and I went upstairs to the mega room that all the brothers made. They cleared out all the rooms, and removed the walls so it was one massive bedroom for all the cousins to sleep in (and extras like me and Teddy). Actually, a lot of renovations were made to this house. Another dining room was added to sit everyone. The kitchen was also extended, with a few extra stoves, ovens, and what not.
I really didn’t know how this tradition became into being. All I remember was coming here for my first summer (my parents went on a holiday and Blake stayed with a few of his own mates) and waiting for Victoire to get her N.E.W.T results and Dom her O.W.Ls. And then we came every year to all get together before school started. Since I usually stayed with Rose, I would always tag along as well.
Everyone was already arguing who should get a bed or mattress. I usually slept on the floor because I was one of the few that actually liked the mattresses.
Although this year, Lily was trying to persuade Molly to let me sleep on a bed. “MOLLY! GIVE YOUR FUCKING BED UP!”
Okay maybe not persuading, more like demanding. Molly sniffed and I told Lily, “Don't worry; I’ll be fine on the floor. I do it every other year anyway.”
Lily rolled her eyes and said, “Yeah, but you’re pregnant this year! I don’t think it would be very good for you!”
I shrugged. “One night won’t hurt.”
Molly smirked triumphantly and Lily looked like she wanted to rip her head off. Lucy was about to intervene but then James, Louis and Fred walked in.
Fred raised his eyebrows at the scene before him. “What’s wrong?” he asked.
Lily snarled, “Molly isn’t giving up her bed for Reese.”
I sighed. “I’m fine! I don’t need a bed!”
Everyone ignored me. Ah, life.
James frowned at Molly but before he could say anything, Dom butted in, “Oh! I’m so stupid! You can have my bed, Reese.”
She grinned at me and I smiled back but told her, “Don’t worry about it! Seriously, I’m fine!”
Dom just rolled her eyes (this family does that a lot) and then rolled herself off the bed. Literally. She curled up in a foetal position and fell off as if someone had pushed her off. It was very odd.
Ah well, I’d known them long enough to realise this was normal for them.
Rose grabbed my bag and threw it on the bed. She then shoved me towards the bed as if someone would steal it. I sat down on the bed and pulled Lily down next to me. She was fuming. It was actually really scary.
“I thought Hufflepuffs were meant to be nice, Moll?” Louis joked.
She snarled, “Oh very funny, Louis. Make some stereotypical joke because I’m the only Weasley not in Gryffindor!”
Louis raised an eyebrow. “Well there’s a reason you’re not in Ravenclaw then. Tori and I were’t in Gryffindor either.” I didn’t understand why Molly had been so grumpy for the past two years. I knew she had a change of friends, but I hoped it wasn’t because of them.
She blinked and said frostily, “Whatever. I don’t care.” With a glare at Lily, she sauntered out the room and slammed the door.
It was quiet for a few minutes and then Lucy piped up, “Isn’t she just a bundle of joy?” We all had a bit of a giggle but then we were quiet. Dom then asked Lily, “How’s little Lysander?” She waggled her eyebrows up and down.
Lily shrugged. “He’s good, Lorcan too. Why do you ask?”
Dom looked confused. “Because aren’t you – mmph…” Victoire clapped a hand over her mouth and started saying something in French.
Unfortunately Louis could understand. “What do you mean Lily hasn’t told us she’s going out with Lysander?!”
Victoire whispered, “Merde.” The boys started to advance on Lily, who hid behind me.
Wasn’t she just the epitome of Gryffindor?
“Lily, is there something you’d like to tell us?” Al’s eyes were a slit of green.
“Yeah and why you were hiding it from us?”
Rose butted in, “Leave her alone! She’s sixteen she can do whatever she wants to do without asking your permission!”
James said, “No she can’t.” And they all nodded in agreement. Prats.
Fred said, “Will we have to beat him up? Did he put you under a love potion?” Seriously? Were they serious?
“I knew I didn’t trust him!” Al said angrily.
“You’re not under the Imperius Curse are you?”
“He hasn’t blackmailed you or anything?!”
I wished I was lying and that this wasn’t happening. As Lily was the baby of the Weasley clan, everyone often felt the need to protect her. And it didn’t help that she had James and Al as brothers, who were so protective over her. Which was good in some cases, but in most they just needed to lay off her.
“Lily! Answer us!”
She came out from behind me and stood up defiantly, “Okay I’ll answer your stupid questions! Firstly: yes I am dating Lysander Scamander.”
There was a squawk of protest. “B: no he has not put me under a potion, curse, he hasn’t blackmailed me, he hasn’t taken advantage of me, he hasn’t done anything hurtful to me!
“Three: I kept it a secret from all of you because you’re all such drama queens! Everyone in the family knows except you and Dad’s already given me the speech to be responsible and shit so you can skip that bull.
“Oh and Al, you twat, you’ve known him all his life, how come you haven’t had a problem with him before?” she said angrily. Her face had slowly started to turn red.
Al retorted, “I could have had a problem with him before but kept quiet. But now I’m not keeping quiet when he’s taking advantage of my baby sister!”
Lily shrieked, “I’M NOT YOUR BABY SISTER! I‘M SIXTEEN YEARS OLD FOR GOD’S SAKE! I CAN MAKE MY OWN DAMN DECISIONS AND YOU HAVE TO STOP BUTTING YOUR UGLY HEADS IN MY LIFE!” She let out a loud scream of frustration.
Mrs Weasley came running up the stairs and said worriedly, “What’s wrong?!”
Lily scowled. “Nana, they think just because they’re older than me they can boss me around and I’m sick of it.” Mrs Weasley opened her arms up and Lily threw herself at her, crying.
“Boys! What do you have to say for yourselves?” Mrs Weasley said sternly, glaring at all her grandsons.
They all looked down at their feet and muttered, “Sorry, Lily.”
I tried not to laugh at their ashamed faces. They deserved it.
When Lily cleaned herself up, Mrs Weasley said comfortingly, “It’s okay dear, your mother had the same troubles. They grow out of it eventually. And if they bother you again, you come straight to me. Okay?”
Lily nodded. “Thanks, Nana.” She kissed the top of Lily;s head, shook her head disapprovingly at the boys and walked out.
Roxy laughed. “That’s what you get for being assholes.” That’s the truth, Roxy.
“WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP WA—”
“LUCY, SHUT THE FUCK UP WE'RE TRYING TO FUCKING SLEEP!”
“LANGUAGE, ROXANNE!” Mrs Weasley yelled.
“EVERYONE SHUT UP IT’S SEVEN IN THE FUCK—”
“LOUIS! WATCH THAT LANGUAGE. YOUNG MAN!” The poor thing, finding out that her grandchildren used those terrible words this early in the morning.
“OI! WE'RE TRYING TO SLEEP HERE!”
What a joyful way to wake up.
I had to pee desperately so I tried getting out quietly so I didn’t wake up anyone else. Although I tripped and accidentally ended up squashing Hugo.
Lucy was laughing really loudly as I was trying to untangle myself from Hugo before I peed on him. She wouldn’t even help me up the little bitch. I finally got to the bathroom and when I returned everyone was looking furious and Lucy was crying from laughing.
She was always psycho.
“Lucy, why the fuck did you wake us up at seven in the fucking morning you crazy bint?” Wasn’t Roxy just a charmer in the mornings? I really didn’t miss waking up to her wide range of swear words in the morning.
She grinned. “Your O.W.L and N.E.W.T results are coming today!”
Dom growled (yes, she actually growled), “Luce, the results come at about eleven. Not SEVEN IN THE FUCKING MORNING!”
“DOMINIQUE! I DON’T WANT TO HEAR THAT LANGUAGE EVER AGAIN!” Dom rolled her eyes, muttered something in French – probably even more swear words – and fell back asleep.
I tried to get back in bed but again I tripped over Hugo. “Sorry, Hugo! I didn’t mean to!”
He grunted, “S’alright, just—”
We all looked at him and he started snoring. How did people fall back asleep like that straight away?
I finally got back in bed and when I closed my eyes, I felt the end of my bed fall down slightly. Maybe if I ignored them they would let me sleep. After a few minutes, I felt a poke. Ignore it, ignore it, ignore it.
Leave me alone! I needed my sleep!
Poke. Poke. Poke.
Oh bloody hell.
I opened my eyes and glared at the person poking me. It was Louis. He was grinning at me and had his finger ready to poke me again. I gave him the biggest dirty I could muster and spat, “What, Louis?”
He grinned even wider, nearly showing all his teeth and said, “I just wanted to tell you that you can sleep now.”
I slapped his arm as hard as I could and kicked him off my bed. Arsehole. He landed on poor Hugo and then got thrown onto Fred. After muttering to himself, he looked at me and whispered, “What was that for?”
I rolled my eyes and gave him the finger. It was too early for me to be nice. And he knew what it was for. The smirk proved that.
I finally fell back asleep and when I woke up again everyone was starting to actually wake up. I glanced at James, who was still crashed. Rose was out of her bed, probably already waiting for the owls to come. Al was stirring slightly and Fred was snoring like a monster. Roxy got off her mattress and gave sleeping Lucy a little kick. I untangled myself from the sheets and treaded down the stairs.
Lily and Rose were both sitting at the kitchen table eating some bacon. I grinned at the both of them and only Lily grinned back at me. Rose was in some sort of a stupor and kept glancing out the window. Mrs Weasley put some bacon on my plate and I started to eat.
“Nana, are you sure no owls have arrived?” Rose asked while glancing at the pile of bacon on my plate.
“Rosie, dear, I would have noticed if they did. Stop worrying and have some more breakfast sweetheart.”
Rose nodded absentmindedly and let her grandmother pile her plate up with bacon. Mrs Weasley must have had to use about five pigs just for us.
I told her thickly, “Rose, you’re gonna be fine. You got all O’s in your O.W.L’s, it's gonna be the same result.”
Rose glared at me and said, “How can you know that?! They aren’t the same examinations!” Lily just rolled her eyes and stole some bacon off Rose’s plate dodging her grandmother’s hand trying to smack her.
“It’s going to be fine, Rose. You shouldn’t even be worrying this much, you already got into Healing School,” I pointed out.
“I haven’t gotten in yet. They said if I got at least E’s they would let me in,” she said, tapping the table at an irregular beat with her finger.
I rolled my eyes and said, “You’re right, Rose, you didn’t get E’s—” Lily and Mrs Weasley glared at me and I quickly continued, “—because you got O’s! You’ll be fine, don’t worry.” Rose just put her head on the table.
I shot Mrs Weasley a smile which she thankfully returned. Lily winked at me and I winked back at her. I nicked some toast off the plate and started munching as everyone else started to slowly come down.
When they saw the food all of them brightened considerably. Rose was muttering in the table and no one bothered to ask if she was alright.
Mrs Weasley placed some pancakes in front of me and I eagerly grabbed one. I took some more bacon and eggs with some tomatoes. I usually hated tomatoes but they were looking really delicious right now.
I piled everything on my pancakes and spread some maple syrup on top. I started cutting and noticed everyone was looking at me as if I was diseased. I stopped cutting and asked, “What?”
James answered, “What are you eating?”
I looked down. “I wanted pancakes but I also wanted bacon and eggs. And tomatoes. And maple syrup. Is something wrong?”
Fred had a revolted look on his face. “That looks disgusting. You’re going to get food poisoning!”
“Not even I would eat that and I have the—” Louis put on a deep voice; “—THE STOMACH OF STEEL!”
It was true. Louis could eat anything. He once drank a whole carton of expired milk and then ate four rotten apples. He didn’t get sick or anything.
I shrugged and started to eat. As soon as I lifted my fork up there were several shouts of, “No!”, “Don’t eat that!” and “YOU’LL DIE!”
Mrs Weasley rushed in to see what the fuss was all about and when Lily explained she relaxed visibly. She told us, “It’s fine. She’s not going to die.”
Everyone had an expression that was full of doubt. I didn’t care though. I was hungry and I wanted to eat. I quickly ate a mouthful while no one was watching.
Although Lucy noticed. “Reese!” she chided.
Everyone turned to me as I swallowed my bite. I gave them all a shifty grin and started eating, ignoring all the protests. It was pretty good actually.
James leaned away from me when I lifted a fork to his face. “Come on, James. You know you want some. Try it, it’s fine!”
He made a face and said, “There’s no way in hell I'm going to—” I shoved a bite in his mouth and covered his mouth.
“Chew. Now swallow,” I ordered.
He obliged grimacing the whole time and when I removed my hands, he grabbed some orange juice to wash it down. “That was the most awful thing I’ve ever tasted! That includes Fred's cooking!”
I rolled my eyes and said, “Oh grow up. It wasn’t that bad.” He made a face and started to eat some toast.
After we had eaten as much as we all could, we started to clear up the table. Rose kept glancing out the window and she looked so nervous. When Molly was carrying all the plates, Rose let out a shriek causing her to drop them in surprise. The plates smashed but luckily we had a nifty little thing called magic.
Rose started wringing her hands. “What if I fail? What will I do? Oh god, oh god!” Roxy had gone awfully quiet, Lily paled slightly and Al and Hugo were still eating.
Admittedly, I was pretty nervous. I knew I said I didn’t really care about my results but what if they were all fails? And when I go for a job, no one will take me because I’d be a teen mother and completely stupid. Then I’d be broke and James would have to support me and the kid forever and then he’d end up hating me and I’d lose custody of the kid and be alone and broke and homeless.
I think James noticed me panicking because he slung an arm around my shoulder and said, “You okay?” I nodded frantically. “No you’re not, you’re freaking out,” he said.
I bit my lip. “What if I fail everything? Not only will I be stupid, but I’ll be a young mother and then I’ll have no job, so then I’ll go broke and then I’ll be homeless and—”
James interrupted my rant, “Reese, there are so many things wrong with that statement. One: you won’t fail, you’re smart enough. Two: you will get a job later and you won’t be broke. And three: I’ll never let you be homeless.”
I looked up at James and said, “Yeah but I don’t want to be sponging off you my entire life. I’ll be a dead weight.”
James rolled his eyes. “Reese, you are not a dead weight. You are living with me. No. Matter. What.” I smiled up at him and he gave me a warm smile in return. I quickly kissed him and went forward to where the owls were sitting. I opened the letter addressed to me and read my results.
It wasn’t too bad, actually. I got an O in Potions! E in Transfiguration, Charms and Defence Against the Dark Arts and an A in Care of Magical Creatures.
Yeah, I didn’t do many subjects, I think if I had anymore I would have struggled really badly.
I looked over to Al who got ‘Outstanding’ in everything except Potions and Muggle Studies, but they were E’s anyway.
Lily – who to James and Al’s dismay – got better O.W.L results than the both of them. Rose of course got full O’s in everything and Hugo did too. Roxy got one O and A, all the rest were E’s. Rose called Scorpius and he pretty much got the same results as Al but ended up beating him in Muggle Studies (Scorpius chose that subject to annoy his grandfather but then ended up loving it).
So apparently, I was the stupid one of the group, but I think my current condition proved that anyway.
After Mrs Weasley made us a celebratory lunch, we all started to head home. I Flooed and James caught me at the grate.
James frowned, so I asked, “What’s wrong?”
His eyes went to my stomach and I realised what the matter was. I gasped dramatically and slapped his arm with as much force as I could. “You think I’m fat!” I said in an outrage. I started advancing towards him but he took a few step backwards.
“Reese! Calm down! It’s not showing yet! I just felt it then! Don't freak!” he said, his arms raised in surrender.
“Don’t freak?!” I shrieked. “Don’t freak?! Of course I’m going to bloody freak, James! It’s because of you I’m fat! It’s your entire fault! It’s so unfair!”
At this point I broke down in tears and James scooped me up in a hug, ignoring my attempts to get away from him. He started rubbing circles on my back and I kept sobbing into his shirt.
I was a mess, an absolute mess. He was saying something but I couldn’t hear him over my sobbing.
I didn’t even know why I was getting so upset. It was going to happen sooner or later.
When I had stopped sobbing so loudly, I could finally hear what James was saying. “It’s alright, Reese. Don’t worry. You can’t see it yet.”
I sniffled. “Yeah, the key word being yet. I’ve already gained heaps of weight. It’s unfair that I have to be the fat one.”
“You’re not fat. You’re pregnant. It’s different,” he said complacently.
“Not really, I eat heaps of food, I don’t care if it’s healthy or nutritious and I’ve already gained about ten pounds. That is shockingly similar to being fat,” I grumbled.
“Yes but you have another person inside of you. Ten pounds is nothing if you’re carrying another human inside of you,” he said.
“Yes but the human being is only in the shape of a lemon right now,” I pointed out.
James rolled his eyes and said, “Yes but it’s still another person!”
“I’m still fat.”
“And you’re still stubborn.”
I grinned up at him and said, “So are you.”
He scoffed, “No I’m not.” I just rolled my eyes and gave him a kiss.
