They made their ways silently across the fields towards the Manor and as they arrived at the part where the wards were supposed to begin, they stopped. They took a deep breathe, hoping that the anti- ward charms had worked and they stepped forward...

Pansy stepped through, followed by Draco and Hermione and then the others close behind.

"It worked, " Pansy grinned, "We did it, it worked!" Though the other couldn't see her they heard her and sighed in relief.

They met Ron at the side of the house and immideately began with the plan for the raid.

Half the Ministry officials went to the other side of the house while the other half stayed where the group was. The main team went to the front and got ready to blast right through.

"Ready?" Harry said, "One-"

Everyone prepared themselves, their wands raised.

"Two-"

They took a deep breathe, preparing themselves as much as they could.

"Three!"

Cries of "Reducto!" was heard from all sides and the three sides of the Manor blasted open.

The entire army poured into the house and the second they did, they came face to face with their enemies. Death-Eaters stood in front of them, wands held in front of them. They were a large army, perhaps a little larger than Harry's side but it was too late to back out now. Way too late.

"Stupefy!" Hermione cried, pointing at the first death-eater in sight. And that marked the beginning of the battle.

Curses flew from one end to another and knocked people out left, right and center.

"Petrificius Totalus!" Harry cursed one of the two death-eaters dueling with Ginny.

In five minutes flat, most of the area was up in flames and with clothes ripped and ghastly injuries, the battle was in full force.

"Hermione, behind you!" A voice screamed from near her. She spun around, screaming "Conjunctivitis!" and successfully blinded the Death-eater who was about to curse her from behind. She turned to the person who had warned her and froze.

There stood Narcissa Malfoy, dueling at full force with Lucius beside her.

"Draco!" She called to the blonde haired man near her. He shot one quick spell at the person infront of him and turned to her.

"Your parents!" She said, nodding towards Lucius and Narcissa. His eyes widened in shock and he ran to them and helped them against their opponents.

"What are you doing here? I mean how did you-"

"We were here all along!" Lucius said, deflecting a curse aimed at them,"We know whatever's been happening here."

"Where are the Parkinsons?" Draco asked, knocking one of them out.

"Fighting in one of the inside rooms", Narcissa answered, knocking the other one out. They moved on to another few death-eaters who were yelling foul profanities at them for betraying them.

"Draco, Hermione needs help!" Narcissa said, "Go!" Draco turned in time to see Hermione fighting off three death-eaters alone.

"Stupefy!" He roared and one of them fell to the ground, rigid.

He ran up beside her and helped her from there.

"We need to get inside!" Hermione said loud enough for him to hear.

"There's no opening for us to go now-there are too many of them", Draco said, "Pansy, Hayley, Blaise and Vie are inside somewhere as are Harry and some others. If we can't get through, we'll have to just trust them to get the kids back."

"How come your parents are here?" Hermione asked, deflecting curse after curse.

"They were here all along, they know what's been going on wi the Death-eaters. The Parkinsons are here too", Draco answered.

"We didn't think their army would be this big", Hermione said, growing slightly worried.

"We didn't", Draco agreed, "But it's way too late to back out now."

* * * *

"Protego!" Blaise yelled, moving further behind as three death-eaters fought him. He would soon be against a wall and cornered.

"Expelliarmus!" Pansy roared, pointing her wand at the death-eaters in front of her. Her stomach dropped when her spell had no effect. The two men in front of her smirked cruelly and one spat , "Amateur".

She looked towards her sister who was fending off a few death eaters alongside Violet. Their parents were fighting a few at the other end of the room.

There were too many of them... Pansy thought, panting and deflecting curses faster than she had ever done.

"Petrificius Totalus!" She cried and one of the cloaked men fell to the floor. The other followed soon after and Pansy sprinted across to help Blaise first.

She managed to stun one of them and Blaise was less cornered than before and began moving forward away from the wall.

"Pans, to help Vie and Hayle, they have too many on them-GO!" Blaise said, stunning another to the floor.

Pansy ran over to Hayley and Violet and helped them take down two death-eaters. There were still three against them and Pansy was growing worried. She had a bad feeling that the chances that all would make it alive were extremely slim...

From the corner of her eye, Pansy saw a red head sprinting past the large hall they were in.

Ron? She wondered. Where would he go alone? Was he bloody metal?!

She wanted to chase after him but she couldn't just leave her sister and Violet.

"Pansy, he needs you", Violet said. She had seen Ron dart past as well and knew exactly what Pansy was thinking. She had seen the, interact while they were all together and knew that she and Ron had grown close. She knew that Pansy was debating whether to follow the man who she had grown to like or stay and help them.

"Pansy, go!" Violet urged her best friend, "Help him!" Pansy nodded and while Violet held back the death-eaters with help from Hayley, she ran as fast as she could past them, past her parents and outside the hall. The hall was mostly empty except for Ginny who was fighting someone nearby. Pansy raised her wand and screamed, "Stupefy!" and the man collapsed.

"Gin, where did Ron go?" Pansy asked.

"Down this corridor- I have no idea where though", Ginny replied.

Pansy nodded and took off in the direction Ginny said Ron went.

"Narcissa, go tell Potter or the Weasleys where the kids are- go! I'll help Draco and Hermione", Lucius instructed his wife. She stunned a person in front of her and hurried out of the main hall and down the corridor to where the other two halls where. The first person she came across in the hall she had headed to was Ronald Weasley.

"The children are down the corridor and then take a right and then a left and go up the set of stairs there", Narcissa said, helping Ron fend off the two death-eaters he was fighting.

"Where's Hermione?" He asked through gritted teeth.

"She's outside- there are too many people against her and Draco- they're trying to find a gap to get out and Lucius is helping them. You need to get to the kids, hurry!" Narcissa said, "I'll take over here."

Ron nodded and with one last stunning spell, hurried out of the room. He sprinted past the second hall where there was another battle raging between the Parkinsons and Zabinis against more death eaters. He hoped to Merlin that Pansy was alright.

Estelle Parkinson ran up to Violet and Hayley and helped them duel the death-eaters that were fighting against them.

"Violet listen, Astoria is cheating on Draco with Lestrange and she's in the Manor now. If Draco comes across them, he's going to get a massive shock and judging by how much he loves her, he's going to be broken about it. Get someone to be there for him when he comes across her-make sure there's someone there to steady him. Go! I'll help Hayley here", Estelle said, all in one breathe.

"Go, Vie- tell Hermione!" Hayley said, "Mum and I can do this."

Violet nodded and sprinted out of the hall. She saw Ginny and spoke hurriedly, "Ginny, I need to speak to Hermione urgently. Can you go outside and help Draco and send her out for a minute? It's important!" Ginny nodded and hurried outside. Hermione came outside a few seconds later, panting.

"What's going on, Vie?" Hermione asked, a worried expression on her face. Her cheek was cut and her clothes were dirty and ripped in places that curses had skid past her.

"Hermione, listen to me", Violet said, pulling her to a dark side and holding her by the shoulders, "Astoria Malfoy cheated on Draco with Leatrange and they're both in the Manor-"

"What?!" Hermione gasped, "He's so much older to her, that's sick! And Draco, oh my..."

"I know! But as disgusting as it is, it's true", Violet said. She put her hands against Hermione's cheeks and held her face, "Hermione, I know that there's more to you and Draco than you're willing to admit but when you go to get the kids, chances that she'll be there with Lestrange are high and seeing them together-"

"Will hurt Draco so much", Hermione completed.

"Exactly", Violet said, "Promise me that you'll be there for him, that you'll stand by him and hold him up when he breaks. When he hurts, you'll hold his hand to show him that you're there for him. Please, Hermione. You've done enough for us already, I know, but only you and Pansy will ever be able to do this for Draco and Pansy took off after Ron so please..."

"I will,Violet, I promise", Hermione said, pulling the violet-eyed girl into a tight hug. Violet hugged her back.

"Thank you, 'Mione, thank you for everything", Violet said, pulling away, "Be careful!" With that, she ran back to the hall Hayley and the others were in.

"You too..." Hermione said, watching her disappear into the room. She took a deep breathe and went back into the main hall once again.

* * * *

Estelle watched as her husband fell to the ground after being hit by a Sectumsempra. She gasped as the slashes in his chest got deeper and a pool of blood formed around him.

"Mom, get him out!" Hayley screamed.

"I can't leave you-"

"Mom, get the fuck out with him!" Hayley said, not caring about her language. This was NOT the time to argue! She couldn't lose her father too!

"Hayley-"

"Mom, do NOT argue with me!" Hayley cried, stunning the death eater heading her mother's way.

"Estelle, you need to leave!" Violet said, running into the hall, assessing the situation and helping Pansy fend off another ,"Take him to St.Mungos and hurry! I'm here for Hayley!"

With one last look at her daughter and the other two she considered as her own children, she latched on to her husband's arm and apparated him away.

"Blaise, to your right!" Violet screamed. Blaise looked to his right and watched as a jet of light shot right out of a death-eater's wand and straight at him. There was another death eater on his other side who sent a curse flying his way. Blaise turned to his left, blocked the curse and stunned the death-eater. By the time he turned back to his right, he knew it was too late...

* * * *

Hermione turned, just in time to see a green jet of light heading straight towards Draco.

NO!

There was no way she would be able to block the spell herself, her counter-spell wouldnt be fast enough and Draco had no idea it was heading his way for him to block it himself. She did the only thing she could think of to save him...

She ran as fast as her legs could carry her and launched herself forward...

Draco turned just in time to see the green jet of light... Just before it was able to hit him, he closed his eyes, knowing there was no way he could save himself...

* * * *

"Ron, look out!" Pansy cried. She had seen a jet of light shooting out of the shadows from the top of the stairs Ron was headed towards.

Ron's head snapped to the direction of Pansy's voice and then to the staircase. He saw the curse heading towards him and shut his eyes, knowing it was too late to save himself. He took his final breathe and waiting for the darkness to engulf him.

* * * *

His eyes were closed. He was waiting for the impact of the curse to hit him. He was waiting...

Any time soon...

Just about now...

That was odd. He was a hundred percent sure that he would have been dead a few seconds ago. Yet, here he was. He couldn't be dead... He was thinking fine. He was breathing fine... He felt alive...?

He opened his eyes, expecting the worst when someone's back fell against his chest. Instinctively, his arms went around the person's body, holding the person up.

Judging by the hair and the frame of the person's body, he knew it was a woman...

The hair... The frame of the body... The familiar colour... The shape of her body... The feeling of her in his arms...

No! He gasped.

It couldn't be... Merlin, please no! Please let it not be her!

Forgetting to breathe entirely, he turned her body in his arms.

Those eyes. Those beautiful, beautiful eyes that he loved looking into.

This couldn't be happening...

Those eyes were currently empty... Staring ahead right at him, yet staring into nothingness.

Merlin, no...

How was it even possible?

She had given up her life for him...

His knees gave in and he collapsed to the floor, her body securely in his arms. He bent over and leaned his forehead against her's.

She felt cold...

Lifeless...

Dead.
