It was a warm spring day, the second to last day before the end of the year and a cool breeze was rustling through the trees, Harry and Ginny were sitting under a weeping willow tree, the dangling branches hiding them from sight of the Hogwarts castle, as they sat side by side leaning against the tree, their fingers entwined and Ginny's head on his shoulder.
'How could things get better than this?' Harry thought as Ginny glanced up at him with a smile upon on her beautiful face.
'God she was gorgeous, why had he never noticed that until recently?'
He knew why and it was a stupid reason he knew it but he had never noticed he was so lonely without her to brighten his day, with her long fiery hair and enveloping smile, a smile formed on his own lips just thinking of her and how she made him feel deep inside, a place right next to his heart, that was thing he worried about most nowadays, he worried one day he'd wake up and she would be gone, the one thing left that could penetrate deep into his soul and help heals those wounds of his, with simply just a sweet smile and a peck on the cheek, he worried there would be nothing he could do the boy who lived cared for this girl more than anything else.
Ginny must have noticed his silence and the strained look on his face for she had looked into his eyes those beautiful green eyes with her honey brown ones and asked worriedly
"Harry what's wrong?"
"I-it's nothing I'm f-fine..." he replied stuttering not knowing how to tell her, how to tell her he loved her and never wanted her to leave.
Noticing his struggle for words she sat up and turned herself around to face him "Harry it's okay you can tell me what's wrong" she said gazing at him as he tried to avoid eye contact with her, knowing if he looked it would just take one look at her gorgeous face for it to all stumble out of him the I love you's and the I never want to leave you again, the please never leave me I couldn't survive, it was all true and he knew it but he didn't know if she felt the same way, he knew he had to tell her but he just didn't know when to,
"It's nothing I'm just a bit over heated" he lied, although it was a bloody sweltering day out they were under the shade of this huge tree right beside the lake and it was rather cool and calm, Ginny was slightly hurt that Harry wasn't sharing with her, she knew he would have a good reason but she loves him, she has for awhile and she would do anything to make him feel better.
"Don't lie to me Harry I can tell somethings wrong, you can trust me" she she pleaded.
"I just... I care about you a lot like... a lot, you know that don't you... Gin?" he asked cautiously, and Ginny understanding what he's trying to say answers
"I love you too Harry" the tears welling up in his eyes tells her she was right and he pulls her into an amorous hug, with his strong arms around her middle he bury's his face into her flaming hair (made even more fiery in the sun that trickled through the leaves leaving a warm glow) and whispered softly with his lips grazing her ear
"I love you more than life its self Gin" she smiles radiantly as she pulls out of the soft embrace, giving Harry a look that cannot be stated more simply than love as he leans and presses his lips against hers in a passionate kiss and she wraps her arms around his neck, with his firmly planted around her waist, he pulls back for a second their noses against each others and they stare into each others eyes before plunging back in for more, this time she presses her tongue against his lips asking for entrance, which he provides messing each others hair and stroking the others faces sensually and they continue to snog through the rest of the afternoon and part way into the night missing dinner.
Finally trudging back groggily to Hogwarts hand in hand up the stairs to the Gryffindor common room and kissing passionately in a last embrace before going off to their separate beds, in their separate dorms, where dreams of one another will surely take place leaving them with a glow in their eyes, a warmth in their hearts, a smile on their faces and a skip in their steps.
