I walked down to the lake, carrying my books, preparing to study for the OWL’s. I needed to clear my head and have some time alone. I definitely needed to get away from Ron. I had liked him since 3rd year, but after Lavender, I didn’t anymore. After they had broken up he was constantly nagging me. He was like a needy puppy, constantly needing attention, and I was not a dog person.

When I got there, either Fred or George was there. I could never tell them apart. I had never had a real conversation with them, them always being involved in foolish antics or something of the like. I needed time alone, and a Weasley twin was one of the last people, save for the Slytherins and Ron, that I wanted to talk to at the moment.

“Hermione!” The twin smiled, gesturing for me to sit on the patch of grass next to him.

“Which one are you?” I asked, a bit rudely. He was cutting into my study time, and it was pissing me off.

“Which one am I?” The twin grinned, “Does it matter? Let’s have a chat, and let’s see if you can use those Hermione Granger brains to figure out.”

I rolled my eyes and sat next to him. I could never resist a challenge. I was racking my brains for some sort of a spell that would help me decipher his identity, when he nudged me in the side.

“Watch this,” he said.

Draco Malfoy was walking nearby, and the twin pointed his wand, mumbled a few words under his breath and Draco’s naturally blonde hair turned a shade of red.

I couldn’t resist giggling. I usually didn’t like the twins’ pranks, but Draco with red hair was hilarious. He almost looked like a Weasley. Goyle noticed Draco’s hair and pointed it out. The three of them ran straight for the castle.

The twin lounged down on the grass, staring at me intently.
“So,” he said, “give me some insight into the fascinating life of Hermione Granger.”

I couldn’t sense if he was making fun of me or not. He had a completely straight face and looked genuinely interested in what I had to say.

“It’s no different than your life really,” I said, “I go to classes, hang out with people…”

“Oh really?” asked the twin, “You spend all of your time thinking about new products for Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes? You should share your ideas.”

“No,” I said, “don’t take me so literally.”

“But you Hermione,” the twin laughed, “are the queen of literality. You take pretty much everything literally.”

“Literality is not a word,” I scoffed.

The twin smirked with a ‘that’s what I mean’ look.

As much as he was annoying me, I liked spending time with him. He was definitely more fun than Ron, or any other boy I had ever talked to. If only I had discovered him sooner.

“Seriously,” I said, “which one are you?”

He opened his mouth, about to answer, when he looked up and saw Professor McGonagall and Draco at the top of the hill. Apparently someone had turned Draco blonde again.

“You should come with me Mr. Weasley,” Professor McGonagall said sternly, “you have detention. I am not amused, and neither is Mr. Malfoy.”

The twin sat up with a straight face, but his twinkling eyes gave away his smile. I hid a smile myself.

“Look,” he said, “I really liked talking to you, and we should do it again, but I really have to go.”

He hugged me and dashed off, leaving me next to the lake to contemplate what had just happened.

Did I have feelings for one of the Weasley twins?

A/N: I hope you like this, its a bit different then the stuff I'm used to. Which one do you think it is? Review below :)
