Julietta stood by the window of the room, looking out onto the grounds of Malfoy Manor. She was lost in thought and memories of things that had happened. Her recent wedding still present in her mind, she had thought it was the most magical day yet however she was to be wrong on that fact. The honeymoon that followed was equally as magical. Fiji was definitely the place to go on ones honeymoon. Days of glorious sun beating down on the white sand beach. The nightly fireworks and fire displays. The adventures and bus rides, the nightlife, the quiet time. The time spent getting to know ones partner so well she didn’t know where he ended and she began.
She’d been wounded when Draco first found her, a shell of a person and through the hate had come the understanding, the compassion, the friendship, the trust and the love. Draco had turned her life around, he’d kept her safe and protected. He’d filled her days with endless happiness and love and she treasured every single second of her life.
She cast her mind back to one of the most magical days of her life.
“There you are, I’ve been looking for you everywhere, I got back and you weren’t here, where have you been?” asked Draco. He looked flustered from the floo travel and tired from a day working with his Father.
“I had to go to St. Mungo’s” she replied.
“What?! Why?” Draco immediately demanded.
“Maybe you should sit down” she answered meekly.
“I do not want to sit down, tell me what’s wrong” he growled, reminding her of the old Draco.
“I just wanted to make sure I was correct, so I had to go in and see them” she replied, drawing out her news.
“Tell me what’s wrong” he spoke.
“Nothing’s wrong” she replied.
“Julietta you are testing my patience” he said.
“Draco” she paused, “I’m pregnant!” she announced.
The look on Draco’s face when she’d told him had been priceless, he looked like a ghost had walked right through him. He didn’t blink for several seconds, then he jumped up pulling Julietta to him, picking her up and swinging her round in circles. She laughed at the memory.
“You’re really happy?” she questioned.
“Of course I am love, I thought I couldn’t be happier than when I married you but this this is magical. I’m thrilled” he grinned, pulling her in for a kiss.
“Have you told anyone else?” he asked.
“No, I wanted you to be the first” was all she said.
“Well don’t you think this exciting news should be told to the family” he couldn’t keep the pride he was feeling from his voice, “Wait do you know the sex of the baby?” he asked.
She nodded, “Would you like to know?” she enquired.
He nodded in response, “We’re having a girl” she beamed.
She smiled at that memory, finding out she was pregnant had been one of the magical moments in her life. She was so happy to become a Mother, to have Draco so excited to be a Father. In school she’d been so wrapped up with what she thought she wanted from life, she now found that none of that mattered anymore. Both her and Draco had taken their NEWTs after things had calmed down and had both received perfect scores but it was more a precaution more than anything else. Julietta would still like a job at some point but it was no longer her main concern and Draco had hinted to her working for Malfoy Industries. No, what she’d been looking forward to was her job as a Mother, the rest could wait.
The little bundle of joy she was holding started to gurgle and wake, she rocked the little one in her hands.
“There are my girls” said Draco walking into the room, “How is she?” he asked.
“She’s fine, just a little cranky” she replied.
“Dadddy!” came the shrill voice of an annoyed child as two children appeared at the door.
Yes thought Julietta life was perfect. It had been six years since she’d married Draco. Six years since their daughter Sophie was born, the most mischievous six year old there ever was, two years after Sophie, little Benedict was born, he thought his Father was the best person in the world. Lastly came Emma, the little bundle of joy Julietta now held in her hands. She looked around at her family, this was home she thought.
I hope you have all enjoyed Julietta. I'll start posting my next story soon. I've loved all the reviews I've gotten for this story, so now that it's at an end, please don't hesitate to tell me what you thought of it, good and bad points etc. I'd love to know :)
