Chapter 5 : A Distraction
| ||Rating: Mature||Chapter Reviews: 6|
Background: Font color:
“Hi there.” I smiled sweetly down at a Slytherin first year. “Can you please tell me what the password is?”
“I-I don't think I'm allowed to tell y-you.” She stammered.
“Just tell me the password!” I cried angrily.
“Hellebore!” She squeaked, looking extremely afraid.
“Thank you.” I smiled again. “Here's a Chocolate Frog.” I said, fishing one out of my robe's pocket.
She took it warily and stammered out a thank you before scurrying away.
I'd probably just scared the crap out of her but I didn't care right now. I was on a mission.
“Hellebore.” I said to the portrait over the entrance to the Slytherin common room.
The door swung back to reveal a low-ceiling room filled with green light from the lake above it. Many faces turned towards me, some greeting me and others insulting me but I kept walking. I glanced at the ornate clock over the mantle place and started.
My fight with Ryan and finding out the password to the common room had taken longer than I'd thought; it was already past ten o'clock.
Not matter, easier to find him, I thought as I stormed towards the sixth year boys' dormitory.
I pushed the door open quietly, and found it empty except for Scorpius. Perfect.
“Rose?” He looked surprised.
“You. Follow me.” I turned on my heel, and marched out the way I came, only pausing to make sure he was following me.
Once I was out of the dungeons, I turned to the stairs and began up the winding staircases.
“Rose.” Scorpius said, sounding slightly out of breath as he caught up to me. “Can you please tell me where we're going?”
“Room of Requirement.” I stated.
“Okay... Why?” He asked.
“Because I don't want to be interrupted.” I replied.
“Okay...” He trailed off, sounding more confused than before. We climbed the remaining stairs in silence.
Finally, we arrived on the seventh floor, and I lead the way through the corridor until we were in front of a blank space of wall across from a painting of trolls doing ballet.
I walked quickly back and forth in front of the empty wall space and, after three passes, a door appeared. I opened it and walked inside, looking around. It was perfect.
“Now will you tell me why we're-” He stopped when he saw the inside of the room. His forehead wrinkled in confusion.
The room was the size of a large bedroom and dimly lit by candles. The floor was made of wood panels, the walls a dark blue and a huge window looked out onto the grounds of Hogwarts. What confused Scorpius was the large bed fit with white bedding in the middle of the room.
He looked so confused. But there was lust there too in his steel coloured eyes. My eyes ran over him. He really was so fit.
I shook my head. No. He was just a distraction.
“Um, Rose?” He asked, warily.
I stepped closer to him, smirking at his obvious worry. I slid of my shoes, and felt the cold wood beneath my feet.
He swallowed and shook his head slightly, before smirking nervously at me. “Thought you hated me?”
“I do.” I said, stepping closer and pressing my body against his.
“Then why are you doing this?” He said, his voice shaking a little as I started to remove his tie.
“Two reasons. One, I had a fight with my cousin and my best friend. I would very much like a distraction right now.” I tried to sound seductive as I slid his robes over his shoulders. “Two, I have been called a slut twice tonight. If they want a slut, they're going to get one.”
“Rose, I'm not hooking up with you.” He groaned, untangling himself from me and taking a step away.
“Aren't you?” I purred, as I moved closer to him and molded myself to him again.
“Rose.” He looked down at me and his voice was serious, but I could see the hunger in his eyes.
“Please.” I pouted, beginning to unbutton his shirt.
“Rose, I-” I cut him off by slamming my lips onto his.
His lips were hard against mine, and I could tell he was still unwilling. So I pressed my body harder into his, and moved my lips fiercely against his. This felt so good.
I felt his resolve crumble, as his arms snaked around my waist, pulling me closer to him.
I wrapped my arms around his neck and ran my fingers through his hair. The same electric feeling from before ran through me, and I tightened my arms, wanting to be closer to him.
As if reading my thoughts, he picked me up so our heads were level and I could wrap my legs around his waist. I rubbed my tongue, against his bottom lip and he deepened the kiss, letting my tongue explore his mouth for a while. I tightened my grip on his hair as he began kissing my neck.
He groaned softly as I unwrapped my legs from his waist, but he let me slide to the floor. I looked into his eyes for a moment and one emotion was clearly reflected; hunger.
I slide my hands to his chest, unbuttoned the rest of his shirt, and pulled it off him. I felt his hands remove my robe, and I moved my hands to get of the tie hanging around my neck. Throwing that in a crumpled heap with my robe, I turned back to Scorpius.
He pulled me closer to him, then stopped all of a sudden.
“Wait, Rose.” He said, his voice low and husky.
I groaned, “Why?”
“Look, I don't want this to be like the other night. Not just some random hook-up. I know you have feelings for me, so please just admit it.” He said, sternly.
“Yes, I have feelings for you. Hateful feelings.” I said, my brow furrowing. “I told you that.”
He sighed frustrated. “Then why are you trying to have sex with me?”
“Hate sex. Rage sex. People do it all the time.” I shrugged.
He untangled himself from me once again. “No, Rose. You have feelings for me, I know it. Once you admit it, I'll sleep with you.” He said, looking me hard in the eyes.
He picked up his shirt, and his robes and headed for the door.
Dread filled me.
“Wait!” The sound escaped my mouth involuntarily, and I clapped a hand over my mouth.
He turned and looked at me. I couldn’t tell if he was hopeful, mad or confused.
I threw out all judgement and let my emotions take over. The words tumbled from my mouth, all I knew was that I needed him to stay, I needed this distraction.
“I have feelings for you.”
I threw myself at him, wrapping my arms around his neck, and kissed him passionately.
He was frozen in surprise for a moment before dropping the clothes in his hands, wrapping his arms around my waist, and crushing my body to his.
He moved us away from the doorway and to the wall, pushing me up against it as his hands swiftly relieved me off my shirt.
I ran my fingers down his chest and rock hard stomach until they bumped into his belt buckle. I tugged at it uselessly, being unable to see and he chuckled, and detached his lips from mine.
“How about the bed?” He asked, smirking at me. The same smirk that used to make me angrier than ever, now made me want him even more.
I grinned wickedly at him, and put my hands back on his chest. Pushing my hands against him, I forced him backwards him towards the bed, and sat him down.
Climbing on top of him, my legs straddling his, I smiled angelically down at him.
“Better?” I asked innocently as his hands went from my waist to my thighs, pulling me in as close as possible.
“No.” He growled, and spun so fast, in a blink I found myself pinned to the mattress by him.
His lips grazed my neck, my collar bone, and continued down my chest.
“This is better.” He said huskily, as his fingers played with my bra strap. Everywhere he touched felt like it was lit on fire.
A low moan escaped my throat, I pulled his head back up, pressing his lips to mine again.
My fingers travelled once again to his belt buckle. There I struggled for a while until it was finally off, and his pants joined the pile of clothing on the floor. Now, his hands ran down my body until they reached the zipper of my skirt, which he slowly unzipped. I wiggled my hips, trying to get the skirt off faster, his slowness was making me impatient.
Bad thoughts kept creeping into my head. I kissed him harder to distract myself, and felt the bliss of his lips against mine. He pulled his head back and smiled at my pout.
“Are you sure, Rose?” He whispered intensely, his fingers slowly pushing my bra strap off my shoulder.
“No.” I replied. His expression hardened, so I continued. “But I want you, so I really don't care.”
I pulled his head down, so I could force his lips back onto mine. I wrapped my hands around his neck again, and felt a surge of joy as he kissed me back enthusiastically.
Finally, his fingers undid my bra and that too joined the pile of clothing of the floor. We continued kissing, and though I didn't think it could get much better, with the loss of the final pieces of clothing, it did.
Bliss didn't even begin to cover it.
I was awoken by someone softly pressing their lips to mine. I opened my eyes for a moment and cringed away from the bright sunlight streaming in through the window. I turned and buried my head in the pillows. A low chuckle broke the silence of the room.
“Time to get up, love.” A low voice whispered as hands tugged the pillow out of my hands.
I sat bolt upright. What did he just call me?
“Whoa, head rush.” I said, putting a hand over my eyes to calm my spinning head.
“Come on, Rose.” Scorpius laughed, pulling my hands from my eyes. “We need to get back to our common rooms before people notice we never came back last night.”
“Ugh, I don't wanna go back!” I said, once again burying my head in the pillows. I couldn't even imagine going to classes right now, all I wanted to do was sleep. My brain felt like mush.
“Neither do I, I would much rather stay here,” His arm snaked around my naked waist. “With you.”
That got me up.
“Last night was...” He continued.
“A mistake.” I finished for him the same time he said “Amazing.”
His hand flew from my waist like it'd been electrocuted and he whipped around to glare into my eyes for a moment.
“What?” He asked, his voice steely.
“Last night was a mistake.” I said shakily. The way he was looking at me made me nervous.
He stood quickly, pulling the blanket around his waist.
“What?” He asked again, though he sounded furious this time.
“I said-” I started quietly.
“I know what you said!” He bellowed and I flinched back.
He took a deep breath and started again. “I asked you if you had feelings for me. You said yes.”
The words hung in the air as I tried to think of what to say.
“I...” My mind was blank. “I lied.” I said simply.
Silence filled the room and I watched as he processed what I said.
“No.” He said, looking directly into my eyes. My heart skipped a beat. “You're lying now.”
“I am not!” I exclaimed, getting angry. How dare he accuse me of lying!
“Yes, you are!” He yelled. “Why else would you have slept with me?”
“Because I needed a distraction!” I shrieked, jumping up. I didn't even bother to hide my nakedness. That was the last thing on my mind right now.
“From what? You got in a little row with your best friend! You cares, you'll make up in two minutes!” He spat at me.
“I don't know!” I screamed. I truly didn't know why I slept with him. I wanted to not think and get away for a while, but I couldn't say that.
So I said the first thing that came to my mind. “Everyone was calling me a slut! So I decided to give them one!”
“Why the hell would you do that?! That doesn't make any sense!” He roared.
“It doesn't have to make sense! It was my decision, it had nothing to do with you!” I shot back.
“It has everything to do with me!” He looked at me furiously.
“No, it doesn't!” I screeched.
We stared each other down for a moment, both of us seething.
“I don't want you in my life.” I stated. “Stay as far away from me as possible.”
“Won't be a problem, Weasley.” He sneered. “Like I'd want anything to do with a filthy blood traitor like you.”
My mouth dropped, just like it had in first year, I could think of no reply.
I watched in livid silence, as he threw his clothes on, and stormed out of the room.
I looked down, and was almost startled to find myself naked. I picked up my clothes from around the room, dressing quickly and sloppily. I stopped and starred at the door when I was ready, I didn't want to go out there, I didn't want to go have to face the world.
I sunk back down into the bed, what had just happened? A knot had formed in my stomach. Regret and guilt washed over me in gigantic tidal waves. I shook my head, why was I feeling guilty? I'd said the truth; I had no feelings for Scorpius.
The knot in my stomach tightened.
AN: Hello, hello! I've never done this before so not quite sure what to say... First of all, Harry Potter belongs to JK Rowling, I don't own any of the world of Harry Potter. Secondly, thank you so so much for all the reads! It means so much to me, this is my first ever story, and I'm ecstatic that I'm getting reads! Please review, telling me how you guys feel about the story, or if you guys want me to put something in :) Every review makes me so excited, so please review! So over Christmas break, I kind of went on a writing rampage, so I have up to the middle of chapter fourteen written, so updates should be fairly speedy. Sorry about the third chapter mix up, the fourth got validated before it, oops! Okay, I'll stop talking now. But please, review and tell me what you think! Love you all, and thanks for reading!! xoxo
Update: Okay, so it's like three years later and I'm redoing this story. Yepp. Reminder that this is currently under revision so it's not going to make sense right now...
Ryan = Alice now by the way.
Sorry if you think Rose is slutty. She's not. She's just trying to let lose and is stubborn. And confused. Yeah. Kay, bye.
