October 31, 1981, Godric’s Hollow

"Lily, take Harry and go! It's him! I'll try to hold him off — just go!"

“Avada Kedavra!” and James fell.

“Not Harry! Please, no, not Harry — I'll do anything!”

“Avada Kedavra! Stupid fool! I always get what I want. Now for your child, Harry Potter!” and Lily fell.

“Avada Kadavra!”

And somehow, when the spell was said correctly, the boy didn’t die. The boy lived.

May 1 - May 2, 1997, The Battle of Hogwarts

The spell was said many times. But only three times was it said correctly, all of them by Voldemort. Once an attempt to kill Harry Potter, once to kill Severus Snape, and once his own killing blow. When they died, along with other Death Eaters, all of the people that they killed who were thought to be dead came back from The Veil.

Fred Weasley, Lily Potter, James Potter, Dorcas Meadows, Albus Dumbledore, Sirius Black, Nymphadora Tonks, Remus Lupin, Alastor Moody, Mr. and Mrs. Potter, Tom Riddle Sr., Thomas Riddle, Mary Riddle, Bertha Jorkins, Frank Bryce, Cedric Digory, Emmeline Vance, Charity Burbage, Hedwig, Colin Creevey and more, welcome back! Hopefully no one ever says the Killing Curse, or the curse that sent them away, ever again.

May 3, 1997, Hogwarts

Harry Potter was looking around the grounds. There were many signs of the battle, but many bodies of the dead were gone. The strange thing was, they had all been killed from the Killing Curse, ‘Avada Kedavra’. Maybe someone had moved them to another room.

He went to the place that all of these people had fallen and instead of finding them on stretchers, he found the talking amongst themselves. But they had been killed!

Harry also visited Godric’s Hollow. When he went to his parents’ grave, he found them sitting on the ground looking happy and alive. It must be post traumatic stress…
Harry went to all of the places where people he knew had been killed; Little Hangleton, the Astronomy Tower, the Department of Mysteries, and a few more. Wherever he went, the people who had been killed by the Killing Curse were talking excitedly. Soon, he went back to Godric’s Hollow to talk to his parents.

“How are you here? You died sixteen years ago.”

His parents looked at him, looked at each other, and told Harry to sit.

Lily started to explain.

“The Killing Curse has actually only been pronounced correctly three times. All three times were an accident and all three times, Voldemort uttered the words ‘Avada Kadavra’. Those three times were when he gave you your scar, when Severus died and when He died. Every other time the spell has been said, the person misspoke the incantation. The people who were ‘killed’ went to a place called The Veil. We have all been watching over you and giving you strength. We never died, but you almost did.”
Harry was ecstatic! He brought his parents and everyone else he had found back to Hogwarts where their story was told again and a feast was held in the honor of those who really died, and those who had to watch the people they love suffer.

A/N: Hello! I don’t own HP, but the last words of Cedric, Sirius and Dumbledore were taken from the books. Review please! Thanks to J.K. Rowling for the characters and the words they spoke before dying.
