“Why weren’t you at dinner?” Rose asked.
“I wasn’t hungry.” I replied.
“And I had an essay to write for Herbology that I put off all of break.” Blaise said. She rolled her eyes.
“Of course you did.”
“I saw you by Potter and Weasley. What was that all about?” Draco asked me.
“Oh, nothing. They both insulted me like usual. Surprisingly, Hermione stuck up for me.” We sat in silence for a while; not knowing what to say.
“Well, I’m going to bed. Are you coming, Nat?” Draco said. I nodded and followed him to his room.
When we got in there, he went straight to the bathroom which gave the opportunity to change into my nightclothes. At the Manor, I got in the habit of sleeping in Draco’s t-shirts so I went into the closet and grabbed one. I quickly stripped and slid on the shirt then went to the bed to wait for him to come out. I felt extremely exhausted and couldn’t wait to close my eyes. Sleep overtook me in seconds.
I woke up in the middle of the night with the weight of Draco’s arm over my midsection. I rolled over to look at him. He looked like an angel with his hair hanging in his eyes and his mouth held slightly ajar. I snuggled into his side and rested my head on his chest.
The next day went as slowly as the previous. It felt like eternity before I returned to the Gryffindor Common Room to meet Ginny after classes. We were going to hang out for a bit then head down to dinner. I plopped myself on the couch in front of the fire and welcomed the relaxation. I looked around the room, feeling as if it had been forever since I had been in it. I glanced over at the bulletin board when a flyer caught my eye. I walked over and gasped when I read it.
The third task of the Triwizard Tournament is quickly approaching; after final exams to be exact! The four champions will face the most dangerous task of all. It will take place after exams are finished. Support our Hogwarts champions!
I felt someone come up behind me and place their hands on my shoulders.
“It’ll be fine.” I turned around and saw Harry standing there. I hugged him tight and he stroked my hair. “It’ll be fine.” he repeated. I shook my head.
“What if you die?”
He chuckled. “I won’t.”
“But you’ve almost died so many times before. What if this is the time? I don’t want you to leave me, Harry.” He tightened his hold of me.
“I won’t leave you.”
“Good. Because then I’d have to go back to the Dursleys’ all by myself.” He laughed, but stopped quickly.
“Hey, I’m sorry for being a jerk. I just… I want you to know that I do love you. And that I will always be here for you.” I sighed.
“You always say that, but then you go back to being a jerk.”
“How about if I promise that I won’t?”
“You break your promises.” He sighed.
“Then how do I convince you that I won’t turn into a jerk?”
“You got to show me; starting now. And if you don’t, I’ll rearrange your face.” He chuckled.
“Ah, that’s my little sis!” I broke away and looked up at him.
“I’ve missed this. I’ve missed you.” He smiled.
“Me too.” He pulled me back to him and I sighed.
“Please say this is the last time we have to make up. I hate the whole making up then turning against each other again thing.”
“This is the last time.”
“Should we go down to dinner?”
“Oh, well I was waiting for Ginny.”
“She had to talk to Professor Flitwick about something. She told me to tell you she’d see you at dinner.” I nodded.
“Okay, then let’s go down.”
We walked down to the Great Hall and sat down with Hermione and Ron. “Why are you here?” Ron snarled.
“Oi! Don’t talk like that to my sister!” Harry snapped. Ron looked shocked but mumbled an apology and went back to talking to Seamus.
“So are you two okay now? Like for good? You won’t have another fight?” Hermione asked.
Harry nodded. “Yeah, we are fine.” She nodded.
“Good. I don’t think I can stand one more second of it.”
Just then, Ginny sat down next to Hermione. “Hey guys. Sorry I didn’t meet you Nat. Flitwick wanted to see me.”
“It’s cool.” She smiled.
“So since we couldn’t hang out before dinner, how about after?” I smiled.
“Yay! Oh and it could be like a sleepover; stay up late, gossip, and makeovers! Hermione, would you like to join us?”
Hermione laughed. “Yeah, okay!” We both laughed.
“Oh this is going to be so much fun!” Ginny exclaimed. I sighed and leaned on Harry. He put an arm around my shoulders and squeezed.
I sat listening to Ginny ramble on about how much fun we were going to have when Blaise came over to the table.
“Get out of here, Zabini!” Ron exclaimed.
“Chill out, Weasley. I came here to talk to Nat.” Ron glared at him but turned away.
“What do you need, Blaise?” I asked.
“I wanted to know if you were coming back to the common room tonight.” I shook my head.
“No. I’m hanging with these guys tonight.”
“Alright; see you later.” I nodded as he walked away.
After dinner, we went to the common room and sat down by the fire. We were in a circle; Ginny leaning against the couch, then Harry, me, Hermione, and Ron. We sat there talking about random stuff, but within a half hour, we got into a game of Truth or Dare.
“So Hermione, truth or dare?” Ginny asked.
Hermione bit her lip. “Well since I did a truth last time, I’ll do a dare.” Ginny smirked.
"Okay, I dare you to kiss Ron.” Her eyes widened.
“Come on, Mione. Remember the pact we made at the beginning of the game; you have to do every dare.”
She sighed and turned to Ron. He had a look of utter confusion on his face. She sighed again and leaned forward….
A/N: Ooooooo it’s a cliffhanger! So what did you guys think? Do you think Harry will become a jerk again? What about the Hermione/Ron truth or dare thing? Please review!!! :D
