~Rose's POV~
"I don't see why we have to sit in the same cabin as everyone else Jay." Jane was dragging me through the train towards our "reserved" cabin. For some strange reason, she decided that we get on the train at the front. What a loony.
Oh I'm Rose by the way, Rose Weasley. Yes, I am the Rose Weasley of Ron and Hermione Weasley, two thirds of the Golden Trio. Yes I am related (kind of) to Harry Potter. Yes THE Harry Potter, the one who defeated Voldemort. Enough with the statements. I'm Rose and I'm on my way through all the carriages of the Hogwarts express with my best friend Jane Lewis. Why you ask. Because Jane wants to sit with her precious Alby..
"Yes Rose. We do" She pulled me harder. Why is this loony my best friend?
"Jane, if you love Al, ju-" I was cut off as she put a hand over my mouth and gave me a death glare.
"Not here! You numpty!" She hissed.
Jane has been in love with Albus since I can remember. All she does is talk about him. It's annoying sometimes. I remember in 3rd year, we were sitting in the common room, waiting for Lily and Dom to be ready for Hogsmeade and Al and Scorpius came through the portrait hole and Jane jumped so high off the ground. Al laughed at her and she went bright red. Scorpius and I gave each other a look saying 'They are in love'. I think it is the only time him and I haven't had a 'I'm not going to kill you' look. When Jane calmed down she started to try and talk to Al, she failed miserably. She stuttered and mumbled and fiddled with her shirt's hem, she didn't even look at him. I just stood there looking around the room when I felt eyes on me. Malfoy was staring at me, it was weird. Being me, I called him a perve (I was wearing some very revealing clothes) and hexed him. He took out his wand and protegoed it and the spell rebounded onto Jane. She suddenly turned bright blue with pink spots, then orange, then naked. Al looked dumbstruck. Scorpius laughed and I apologised like there was no tomorrow. Jane had a spaz. Scorpius said "Al, your drooling" Al went red and Jane if possible went even redder. I don't think jay has been more mortified in her life.
Anyway.
After that incident, Al has always been a touchy topic.
I struggled out of her grip and kept on walking, well pushing past the younger students.
After a while of not talking, we were interrupted oh so not politely by Jasmine Morgan. Oh great.
"Hey sluts!" she yelled from her cabin as we walked past. She stuck her head out and sneered at us.
Stupid Gryffindor Bitch.
We stopped and turned our heads and gave her some un-lady-like gestures with our fingers.
"What a looser" I mumbled as we came to the carriage our cabin was in.
Jay laughed at that making me smile too. Oh yeah that's why she is my best friend, she can always make me smile, even if she is in love with my cousin. Jane loves Albus, just putting it out there. He loves her too, cliche but they don't know they do. That's the problem, they are both in denial. I mentioned it to Jay once but she just shoved a pillow in my face and ran away. Woos.
Just as we were about to head into the cabin Jane stopped me. She looked serious. I gave her a questioning look.
"Ro, promise me you won't bite Scorp's head off." I gave her the 'You've go to be joking' look. "Pleeaasseee" she whined. The bitch whined, she knows I hate whining.
"Fine. But only if he doesn't piss me off." I went to open the cabin but she stopped me once again. I thought she was the eager one to get in there..
"We all know you love him Rosie" she gave me a smirk and went into the cabin.
Bitch. I don't love Malfoy. I never have and I never will. Ooh, he's over there.
His eyes are so silver.. Stop it Rose. Look away.
I sat down and glared at the bastard. He annoys me even without doing anything. Why does he have to come to The Burrow this holidays? Of all holidays, why this one. I tried looking at Jay, but she was staring at Al, I don't know how she does it, but she stares at him without staring. If that makes any sense.
Oh great Malfoy is staring at me. Say something Rose!
"Do I have something on my face Malfoy." I spat at him. Woops, I didn't mean for it to sound so mean.
"Oh, erm, n-no" Hah! He stuttered. He's so cute. No Rose. Don't think that. Uh I hate him!! "I was just admiring you new, um, doo" he nodded towards my hair. What was wrong with my hair!?
The only thing I could think of to say to what he said was something he had used on me not 3 years ago..
Sarcasm.
"Oh, you like it do you? I did it especially for you." Gotcha! I could see his mind ticking away at a come back but James kind of fell into the cabin and slid down the wall/window near our feet.
Retard.
"What the?" Jay asked me.
"Olivia Wood.." I whispered as if it was obvious.
Everyone crowded around James, where did everyone go, I swear there was more people before.
They must have heard me say her name.. Woops.
Her head popped into view from the open cabin door and she had the biggest smile on her face. She didn't even look puffed.
"Is my Jamsie in here?" Her high pitched voice was horrible. Everyone knew she was obsessed with James, and ever since her sister started going out with him 2 years ago, it had gotten worse. Olivia was 1 year younger than her sister Amelie, but Amelie was much more beautiful. Olivia was just, well, to be nice, she was ugly.
Just as I was thinking this Amelie came into view and glared down at her sister.
"He's not your Jamsie, you bitch" Ouch. They may be sisters, but they hate each other. And I mean, Snape-Potter Hate (my dad told me about Professor Snape).
Amelie was gorgeous. I don't know what James would be without her. She basically changed him into a better man, corny but true. He used to be Hogwarts's very own playboy.
She went over to where James was and he jumped to his feet. He was lovestruck that boy.. They hugged and James kissed her. As soon as they kissed Olivia ran away crying. She'd be back..
I lost track of the rest of the conversation between the love birds as I ran my holiday plans with Jay through my head.
1. Go swimming with Jay in the lake near The Burrow.
2. Win the Quidditch match against family with Jay as seeker and me as chaser.
3. AVOID MALFOY!
Ok, so the third one was for me, but Jane is apart of it.
When did Hugo get here?
He was sitting next to Malfoy. How Hugo liked him I don't know. It was kinda cute, Hugo loved Malfoy, as a brother, I kind of felt unwanted sometimes, but it's good to know that Hugo can go to Malfoy for stuff that I can't help him with.
Winking? Really you two..
"After your little gay parade is finished" I looked at Malfoy, burning holes into his head.
"Fuck you Rose" Hugo joked.
"Hugo! Don't use that horrible word, you little shit!" This seemed to make everyone laugh.
It was quite funny.
I am quite funny.
"Ahh, sibling love" Jay said. You have been awfully quiet.. Staring at your lover, of course she was. I'm not a dog, don't pat me Jay.
"Don't get to close to it Jane" Al said. Why does she love him!?
"Yeah, she might bite your hand off!" Oh don't you get involved Malfoy!
I glared him my 'Go die' look. I had only really used it a couple of times, all on Scorpius of course.
"Fuck off Malfoy"
"Rose! Don't use that horrible language" Hugo mimicked me. I hate you little brother.
He quickly ran out of the cabin, he knew what I was going to do. I would hex him till his brains fell out.
I could feel my face going red. I hate it when he mocks me.
"Take a chill pill Rose" Did Malfoy just whisper to me.. He touched me! He fucking touched me! Does he want me to go mad! I stiffened at his touch. His hand was so warm, but he took it away after I just sat there looked at the door.
Holy Shit.
I think my brain turned to mush..
"Hey, Scorp.." Al mumbled to Scorp.
What happened. I never tense when he touches me, not that he touches me a lot. Ew, not that way.
My leg is still tingly where his hand was, weird. I feel hot. I think I'm sick.
I zoned out on the rest of their conversation and I could feel Jay looking at me.
I heard shuffling and I snapped back to reality and looked out the window.
"What happened there Rosie?" She half mocked half sounded worried.
I didn't answer. I kept looking out the window, maybe she would go away. Truth is, I don't know what happened. Two weeks ago if he had done that, I would have slapped him, but now, I don't know, it's weird.
She started laughing and I felt angry again. I wanted to rant and rave! I heard the door open and saw James and Fred look amused and Jane stopped laughing and whispered to me.
"Ok Rosie, you sit there in you pit of thoughts, I'm going to find Hugo, I need to talk to him." She sighed and walked out of the cabin leaving me to my thoughts.
James and Fred left too when they saw how pissed I was, good choice boys.
'Go away thoughts about Scorpius!!' I yelled in my head. Great, now I really am a loon.
I pulled out my wand and started flicking it up and down and side to side.
"Avis" I mumbled and light blue coloured birds flew out of my wand and flew around the cabin. They had it easy, no confusion about some bird who they hate, who "apparently" loves them. I want to be a bird now.
All too soon, they faded away. I don't know how long I was sitting by myself, well not technically myself, Lily and Lorcan were in here, discussing something. Probably their undying love for each other.
Wait, how long have they been there?!
"Gee, thanks Lil's. Made my day." He said sarcastically. Oh no. Those two are perfect for each other. No. Lorcan. Wait, don't walk away! She loves you Lorcan. She loooveesss youuuu!!! I sung in my head.
He walked out of the cabin and I suppose to find his brother. Lily turned to me looking hurt.
"What happened Lil's?" I went over, sat down and hugged her. I love Lily, she is like my sister.
She sniffed and turned her head towards the door. She has always been strong, she never cries. If Lorcan made my Lily cry, he's gunna get it, and not just from me.
"Well.." she started. I stroked her back. "I told Lorcan that, If we break up, I could always go for his brother, but I was joking."
Oh.
"I didn't think he would go spaz at me. I love him, I really do, but, he can be so sensitive!" Now she was getting pissed.
I let her go and she stood up to look at me, fuming.
"Rose. You are so thick sometimes!" Woah.. When was this about me? "You have someone who would do anything for you! Someone who really loves you right in front of you! If you haven't noticed then you are just as thick as Uncle Ron!" She waved her hands at me then left the cabin.
What did she mean? Someone who loves me and would do anything for me?
Of course I know who she is talking about.
Scorpius Malfoy.
As soon as Lily left, Jane came back in looking rather hysterical. Laughing that is.
"What's so funny Jay?" I asked in confusion.
"I ran into Joseph, you know, Joseph Grayson, well anyway. He was like harassing Dom, because he is like in love with her and she hexed him so he grew wings and a beak. He looked like a duck! It was so funny" I chuckled a bit, but it was still angry. I had to keep my game face on if she was going to believe me.
"Whats got your wand in a knot Rosie?" she giggled
"Scorpius.." I said dully. I wasn't in the mood for a D and M right now (Deep and meaningful).
Hugo entered to cabin, probably looking for more ways to mock me. He looked over at me and I gave him a death glare. I reckon I could have killed Lord Voldy Pooh with my death glare. Lord Voldy Pooh, thats a funny one, I have to remember that.
Hugo gave a confused look and asked Jane what was wrong with me. What was wrong with me? WHAT WAS WRONG WITH ME?! I'll tell you little brother. The thing that is wrong with me is S-
"A certain someone" Jane stopped laughing and winked at Hugo.
Bitch.
Hugo left with a smile. I soon followed to get away from anymore questions.
I set off down the hallways of the carriages to find Scorpius. I don't know what I would say but, I guess I could improvise.
I was looking into every cabin and receiving some weird looks from people who occupied them.
I was nearing the end of the train when I ran into Lysander, Lorcan's twin brother.
"Hey Lys, you seen Ma-"
"He's with Al, the carriage after ours, turn around and you'll find him. 3rd cabin from the entrance. Seeya Rose" He quickly walked past me and scurried into another cabin.
"Um…Thanks?" I mumbled confusedly.
What..the..Fuck..
Feeling really weird and confused I turned around and made my way past the cabins I had just passed to the cabin Lysander had given me directions to.
I saw Hugo run into the cabin so I decided to stay back where I was out of view. I could slightly hear what they were talking about.
Are they…Chanting?
What they were chanting about I wasn't sure of but it seemed that Scorpius was not enjoying it.
I saw Dom walk up to the cabin, I hid in another cabin, stealthy Rose.
After receiving some weird looks from the people inside the cabin I poked my head out and went closer to the cabin where the chanting had stopped and all was quiet except for Dom and Scorpius's voices.
I heard my name..
I heard peppermint, roses, lip, never mean, hurts me. And was it, love?
Shit.
I use peppermint and rose body spray, I bite my lip when I concentrate, I don't know what the never mean bit is. Do I hurt him by what I say? Love? Why and I thinking about this.. it could be anyone called Rose, or it might not even be me.
But what if..
Does he love me..
I'm crying now, just little tears sliding down my cheek. Why I have no fucking idea! Shit someone is moving. I only just realised I was peeking my head around the door to see inside. I quickly turned around and backed up against the wall. I hope he didn't see me.
The door slid open, Scorpius came out. I turned to face him so I was off the wall. He just looked at me. I didn't know what to do. Whoever was in that cabin pissed him off, he just told them that he loved me (I think), and I accidentally heard.
I don't love him. I don't even like him.. Do I?
As I was thinking I saw him turn around and walk away. I sniffed to hold back the tears.
WHY WAS I CRYING!!
As soon as Scorpius entered another carriage I slid the door open and saw that James, Fred, Dom, Albus and Hugo were in there, all looking stunned.
James turned to look at me, still shocked.
"H-how much did you hear Rose?" He sounded terrified.
"All of it, I think" I went to sit down next to Al but he stood up presumably going to go find Scorpius.
Surprisingly he turned to face me.
I'm scared now.
"Rose, if you heard what he said. Please don't break his heart. Stop being a bitch and be nice to the poor bloke" I nodded too afraid that if I opened my mouth I would cry more.
He sighed and walked towards the door.
"Please Rose, for me. Try and get along. He loves you for Merlin's sake" He walked out the door in search of his broken hearted friend.
So he DOES love me!
I'm a horrible human being.
We all sat in silence for a while until Fred and James decided to go and prank some people before they got home.
Dom gave me a quick hug and went off to search for an empty bathroom to reapply her make up.
I was left alone with my thoughts, once again.
Do I love Malfoy?….
