The song lyrics in bold all belong to Taylor Swift and anything that has to do with Harry Potter belongs to the lovely JK. How I wish it were mine :)

I am not the kind of girl
Who should be rudely barging in
On a white veil occasion
But you are not the kind of boy
Who should be marrying the wrong girl

It was a beautiful sunny day; a perfect day for a wedding. But it was not just any wedding; it was the wedding of the man whom, Ginny Weasley loves. Her mother was bustling about preparing every last detail of the lavish affair. It was going to the wedding of the century; he did save the Wizarding World. Molly Weasley had everyone at the church getting dressed in their dress robes, muttering spells to clean everyone up. The wedding was supposed to be perfect. The air in the church should have been light and exciting, except there was a lingering feeling that this wedding was wrong.

Ginny Weasley knew why. The man she loves was marrying another girl. He wasn’t just marrying any other girl, but Cho Chang.

Ginny was walking through the church and saw red roses everywhere. She knew this was wrong. The red ruby roses should be pure lilies. Harry had said it to her once while staring up at the stars that he would want his mum at his wedding in some form.

Cho wasn’t the right girl for Harry. She was needy and demanding. Ginny couldn’t talk though. She was the one who had broken Harry’s heart only two years ago.

*Flashback*
Ginny paced back and forth in her room deciding what to do. Harry had just proposed and she should have been elated, but something inside of her was holding her back.

The door opened and she jumped with fright, pulling her wand as well.

“Oh, it’s just you harry.” She muttered, putting her wand away.

“Well I had hoped you would have been happier to see me, considering you made me the happiest man on Earth!” Harry looked at her with such a boyish look with mischief in his eyes she was torn apart for what she was about to say.

“Harry, we need to talk.”

“Ginny, what’s wrong? Do you need anything?” He gave her a worried look.

“Look, this isn’t easy for me so I'm going to just have to say it. I need some time to think. Everything has been moving so fast. The final battle was just three months ago and I've barely had time to mourn Fred.” Her eyes had begun to moisten with tears that didn’t fall regularly from her chocolate brown eyes.

“Ginny! I'm sorry, I didn’t mean to push you at all means. I-just you said you wanted to move on with happy memories so I just figured-“

“I don’t blame you but I can't do this. I can't marry you. I'm sorry, I hope you find someone who will make you happy.” Ginny was so close to tears, she ran out and didn’t look back.

If she did, she would have seen a broken man falling to the wooden floor starting to break down.

*End Flashback*

Ginny thought back to that time just merely two years ago. She had made a mistake while asking Harry for time. She remembers Ron, barging into her room asking what she had done to Harry.

Harry was a broken man. After Ginny left him, he didn’t leave Grimmauld Place. Kreacher looked after him, but knew his master was in an immense amount of pain.

When she finally saw him again, two months after their fateful breakup, he was at the Burrow looking cheerful with "her" by his side. Ginny knew then, she had made a mistake.

She put on a happy face and looked on as the man she still loved was holding someone else’s hand. She knew she caused it but didn’t know what to do, and now her she was with her whole family on his wedding day.

“Bugger this is a mess,” she muttered.

I sneak in and see your friends
And her snotty little family all dressed in pastel.
And she is yelling at a bridesmaid
Somewhere back inside a room wearing a gown shaped like a pastry.

“Ginny! There you are! Ron and I have been looking for you everywhere.” Hermione said. “How are you holding up,” she asked with a concerned look on her face.

Ginny knew her best friend, who is also her sister-in-law, would be worried about her, as well as her brother. They may be related to her, but they still are the best friends of the man she loves.

“I'm doing okay. I don’t really think Cho wants me here, so I'm trying to stay out of the way. Plus she’s acting like a total bitch. Did you hear her yelling at mum? I was about to shoot a bat boogey hex right there if Charlie wasn’t around.” Ginny sighed wishing this day could be over quickly.

Ron was staring intently at Ginny and then just layed into her; “Well Ginny, I know you love Harry, and even though he’s my best mate, he making a mistake. Everyone can see he’s still in love with you. Suck up your pride and go tell him!”

I took a deep breath and kept telling lie after lie, “Ron, I don’t. He made his choice just like I did, and everyone has to accept it. Now I have to go find a seat near the back. I'm only here because mum made me.”

As she stood there, brushing her fiery red hair back she thought of what could be if her and Harry were still together.

This is surely not what you'd thought it would be.
I lose myself in a daydream.
Where I stand and say,

Don't say yes,
Run away now.
I'll meet you when you're out
of the church at the back door.
Don't wait or say a single vow.
You need to hear me out
and they said speak now.

Ginny hurried away knowing her brother and sister-in-law were giving each other knowing looks. They didn’t want this wedding to happen either.

“Ron we can't do anything now. We can just hope for the best and that everything will work out. It had to for Harry’s sake. He’s been through too much already.” Hermione said with a nervous look.

Ron looked at her, “I know love, but I also know them. They’re too stupid and stubborn with their damn pride. But c’mon, go find a seat and I'll go find Harry. I’ll see you after.”

Fun gestures are exchanged
And the organ starts to play a song
that sounds like a death march
And I am hiding in the curtains
It seems like I was uninvited by your lovely bride to be.

There were so many people seated already, it was a good thing Ginny only wanted a seat in the back. She knew this was all wrong and Harry only wanted a small wedding, not this extravagant event that was being held.

The organ starts to play and she sees Harry walk out. He looks just as good as Ginny remembers. She imagines it is herself about to get married to him and realizes everyone was right. She was still in love with Harry bloody Potter.

Once the music began to play she cleverly hid her face from view since Cho, explicitly stated she didn’t want previous girlfriends at the wedding. Ginny heart swelled at the time when Harry defended her and said she was allowed to attend.

“Why am I so damn proud,” she wondered?

She floats down the aisle like a pageant queen.
But I know you wish it was me
You wish it was me
Don't you?

Here comes Cho. She floats down the aisle in a strapless white gown that looks elegant on her pure skin. The bottom looks way to puffy for Ginny’s likes and while she walks and she wears a triumphant smile on her face. Her hair is away from her face except for her veil that Ginny watches Harry take off.

Cho gives him a sly smile and Ginny knows she really doesn’t love him. She just wants the fame that comes with his name. With Harry Potter as Cho’s husband her quidditch career could finally take off. It took all Ginny had not to jump up and scream right there but she knew she would have her time to say something.

Don't say yes,
Run away now.
I'll meet you when you're out
of the church at the back door.
Don't wait or say a single vow.
You need to hear me out
and they said speak now.

As the ceremony was progressing, she thought of the better days. The better days were when she and Harry would hold hands and walk to the ponds around the burrow. They would spend all day there just talking about their dreams. Harry was so carefree and loving; Ginny had no idea why she ended it.

She wanted Harry to pick her up, swing her up high and proclaim his love for her over and over again.

She then knew what she had to do. It was suddenly all clear to her.

I hear the preacher say
"Speak Now or forever hold your peace"
There's the silence
There's my last chance

Suddenly she heard the Minister of Magic speak the words she had been waiting all this time to hear.

“If anyone has any objection to the marriage of Harry Potter and Cho Chang, please speak now or forever hold your peace.” Kingsley stared at all the faces in the church.

Ginny could see Ron and Hermione looking nervously at each as well as every red haired member of the Weasley family all longing to say something. However, they knew they could not do that to Harry.

Ginny knew she could, because he didn’t belong to bloody Cho Chang.

I stand up with shaky hands
All eyes on me
horrified looks from everyone in the room
But I'm looking at you.

Ginny stood up and moved to the middle of the aisle and started to walk forward. She could feel all eyes on her but she didn’t care. All she cared about was one set of emerald green eyes, and they were staring right back at her.

Ginny knew everything could go wrong her. Their friendship could be ruined and Christmas and holidays could never be the same but she could not go on with her life without telling Harry her true feelings for him.

Her hands were starting to shake while her heart pounding and she knew she couldn’t be nervous right now. She cleared her voice and got ready to speak out for the one she loves.

Everyone in the crowd was looking at Ginny Weasley, the girl whom Harry Potter had previously dated. Her mum was dabbing her eyes with a piece of cloth but a small smile escaped her mouth while her dad was staring proudly at his only daughter who had the courage many didn’t. Her brothers looked on with a smile happy to see their only sister fighting for what she wants.

And then she saw Harry. He had a look in his eyes with his mouth wide open agape but they were also a sparkle in his emerald eyes that gave Ginny hope and the courage to go on. Ginny Weasley loves Harry Potter and by seeing the look in his eyes then, she was fairly certain that he still loves her as well.

I am not the kind of girl
Who should be rudely barging in on a white veil occasion
But you are not the kind of boy
Who should be marrying the wrong girl

She cleared her voice and spoke in a strong but meaningful tone, “Hello you lot, I'm Ginny Weasley, and I know it’s not very common for a person to interrupt a wedding, but I'm not a very common person. I'm sorry, but a wedding shouldn’t happen if both people aren’t in love. This is incredibly rude but Harry; you’re not the kind of boy who should be marrying the wrong girl.”

So, don’t say "Yes", run away now,
I’ll meet you when you’re out of the church at the back door.
Don’t wait or say a single vow,
You need to hear me out,
And they said, "Speak now"
.

“Please Harry, I made an awful mistake two years ago and it haunts me every day. I wish I had the courage to tell you sooner but I just couldn’t. I have the chance to speak now though and tell you that I love you and not to say yes to her, but meet me outside and run away with me, me, just Ginny.”

The church was dreadfully quiet and Ginny was beginning to think she had made a mistake with pronouncing her love for Harry. She waited until she heard a scream.

“If you don’t leave my wedding right this instant I will have you forcibly removed or I will hex you myself! How day you try to ruin my wedding! Harry loves me and not you! Get OVER it. Two years have come and gone, grow up and go home!” Cho was looking at Ginny with her beady eyes, and her wand at the ready.

Harry was aghast at his fiancé saying such hurtful things and his mouth hung wide open unsure of what to do.

Ginny gave one last fleeting look, knowing she had lost the battle and held her head high and walked right out of the church. She knew she had lost Harry for good since he didn’t follow her out or call off the wedding. As she was walking tears were falling from her eyes knowing she would never be happy as she was with Harry until she heard a familiar voice.

“Ginny!”

And you’ll say "Let’s run away now,
I’ll meet you when I’m out of my tux at the back door.
Baby, I didn’t say my vows,
So glad you were around
When they said, "Speak now".

Ginny looked back and felt her heart skip a beat. She saw Harry and turned around. He was running straight toward her with his unruly black hair flying in the wind. She always loved how his hair would never stay kept. She bet Cho wanted it perfect for the wedding. Her perfect wedding. Ginny scoffed.

“Look Harry, I'm sorry I ruined your wedding. I was wrong to come. I messed everything up for you and I'm just going to apparate to the Burrow and enjoy your honeymoon,” Ginny said in all one condescending breath.

Harry looked at her with a confused look on his face, “Ginny I really hope you don’t mean that--”

“Harry it’s hard enough as it is; knowing you love her. Please don’t apologize to me, I understand.”

“But Gin--”

“STOP HARRY. I can't handle this anymore. Just leave me--”

Suddenly Ginny didn’t know what was going on. She felt his lips crash on hers and she was swept to a world of euphoria. Nothing was as good as this kiss. This kiss even topped their first kiss in the common room.

Her tears were trickling down her face and as they pulled apart, she saw him give her the mischievous smile she loves about him. She swears her heart was skipping beats as he looked at her.

Harry smiles at her and whispers, “If you would’ve just let me speak, I would’ve told you I told Cho I couldn’t do it. I've always loved you not her. She was there so I could get over you. I thought you didn’t want me anymore and I was devastated. Ron and Hermione told me you still loved me but I still had to hear it from you. Gin, you’re my life. I was going to make a huge mistake today but you saved me.”

“Well you always save me, so I guess it’s time I returned the favor.” Ginny smiled at him and swept him up in another kiss. She knew she made the right choice when she was told to speak now.
