“I’ve sent the message” Neville told me later that night.

“We should meet them now” I told him. Neville, Lavender, Pavarti, Romilda, Seamus, Nigel and I snuck out of the Gryffindor Common room and headed down to the Entrance Hall where we would first start the message. “You have to leave for detention now” I whispered to Neville.

“I can go late”

“No! It’s better that you go because that way they can’t pin it on you” I told him.

“Fine! I’ll see you all later” he said heading in the other direction.

“We have to be quick guys” I told them handing them all a Weasley Wizard Wheezes spray can. It was something I took out of Fred and George’s room that they had forgotten to take to their shop.

“Sure” I ran with Pavarti and Lavender all the way down the staircase with the others trailing behind.

“Where are the others meeting us?” Seamus asked.

“In the Entrance Hall” I told him quickly. We made it all the way down there when we saw both the Carrow's talking to one another.

“In here! In here” I felt someone grab the back of my cloak and pull me into a broom cupboard. It was Michael Corner one of my ex-boyfriends. Everyone filed in and it was that tight we were practically unable to breath or get the door closed.

“These blasted Children don’t know when to quit!”

“I’ve got detention right now – that Longbottom disaster” I heard a snort of laughter.

“Make it hard for him and he can get the message back to that Potter’s girl so she keeps her mouth shut” I pressed my ear against the door.

“Did you give her detention?”

“No – slapped her across the face” she answered. I felt everyone’s eyes on the back of my head.

“Well we’ll have that blood traitor outer here soon” Their voices became silent and I pushed the door open and was finally able to breathe again.

“Did she slap you Ginny?” Terry asked.

“Don’t worry about it – it’s nothing compared to what Neville will be going through” I told them. “Which reminds me that once we’re done here that we’ll need to break Neville out” I told them.

“How are we supposed to do that?” One of them asked.

“I’ll take care of it” I told them. “Let’s get this done” I told them. We started to pant all over the walls. ‘Dumbledore’s Army, Still recruiting’.

“I think we’re done” Hannah said.

“It’s kind of beautiful, isn’t it?” Luna said staring up at the rather messy writing. Dean looked disappointedly from everyone else’s messy handwriting to his own neat writing, probably under the impression that we ruined it.

“Yeah its great – everyone needs to go back to bed and wash all the paint off, Seamus, come with me”

“Where are we going?”

“We’re going to break Neville out” I told him.

“That’s impossible”

“Nothing’s impossible – we’ll just need a distraction” I said starting to run.

“We need to sort this out before we just go and burst into his office” He said to me.

“I know”

“Just stop a minute” he said to me grabbing my hand and pulled me into an unused classroom.

“What?” I asked.

“How about I create a distraction outside his office and you go with a broom up through his office window and take Neville?”

“No that won’t work” I told him.

“Why not?”

“Because he’ll just think that Neville ran off we need him to say that he can leave”

“How about an explosion – he’ll make Neville clean the rubble with no wand and then we can do it for him, then he’ll be able to leave”

“Are you sure that that will work?”

“It’s better than no plan at all” He said shrugging. “But I know that we can’t just burst into his office because we won’t be any good to Neville then” I nodded.

“Can you take care of the explosion?”

“Sure can” he said pulling the door open. We ran up to the corridor and stood outside his office.

“Are you going to blast it?” I asked him.

“Sure” He pulled out his wand and shot it at the wall above the Professor’s door. A loud noise echoed throughout the corridor and parts of the stone wall flew through the air crashing around us. I pulled Seamus by the robes behind a statue as Carrow opened his door.

“What the Bloody Hell?” he murmured. We huddle behind the statue so he couldn’t see us and I heard Neville’s voice.

“What was that?”

“Get to your dormitory! I need to find this blasted menace that blew apart my office”

“I’m sure that it wasn’t intentional –”

“Get to your dormitory!” he yelled at him. Seamus and I pulled our hoods over our heads and tightened our robes around us. I heard Neville kick some rocks out of his way as he made his way back to the dormitory.

“We have to make a run for it” Seamus whispered.

“I know you around here – come out and play” he voice taunted. We heard him taking light footsteps around the corridor getting closer and loser. I grabbed Seamus’ hand and we bolted from the statue and up the flight of stairs. Neville noticed us and ran to before Carrow knew that he had left. I turned back to see him chasing us throwing every spell that he knew.

“Crucio!” he yelled on the staircase. It narrowly missed Seamus and flew by my ear. We were huddled over and climbing the stairs at an alarming rate. He kept throwing spells at us that only missed by inches. He started to fall behind as we made it up all the stairs and onto the seventh floor. Up on the Seventh Floor corridor Seamus collapsed onto the floor and I was clutching my stiches.

“I haven’t run like that in years” Seamus told me between deep breaths. I laughed nervously and looked down the corridor at the Fat Lady who wasn’t there.

“Oh no!” I put my hands over my mouth. “He’ll catch us – I hope everyone made it back in time”

“Are you guys alright?” Neville asked us coming from a different Corridor.

“Yeah – the fat lady’s gone” Seamus said. “Carrow will be here soon” Neville rummaged through his pockets and pulled out a coin and sent a message.

“Someone will open it in a minute” he said pulling Seamus to his feet and walking with him. We made it to the door as Lavender and Pavarti swung the portrait open.

“Come in quick!” Pavarti said holding the door open for us.

“The coins” I said relieved. We collapsed into the comfy armchairs while Neville thanked us.

“We should go to bed in case he comes in here” I said. “Oh – Neville what did he make you do in detention?” I asked him.

“Tried out curses on me – I’ll tell you more about it in the morning” We left to go to bed so glad that he didn’t catch us.

***

The next morning I headed down to breakfast with Neville, Seamus, Pavarti and Lavender. Outside the door Carrow was standing there with a long list of names.

“What are you doing?” Someone asked him.

“Two Gryffindors were outside their common room last night and the Fat Lady wasn’t here to let them in – I’ve been standing here all night to find out who that person was because they won’t be in here now”

“Good luck with that” I whispered under my breath.

“Brown, Patil, Longbottom, Finnigan, Weasley?” He looked up from his list to me.

“Is there a problem?” I asked him.

“You’re that little brat whose ankle I broke” he said smiling devilish at me. “If I found out that it was you who wrote that rubbish on the walls and blasted a hole through my office I swear that it might not just be your ankle ... that I break” he snapped looking at my neck.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” I asked him angrily taking a step forward and wrapping my hand around my wand.

“The first chance I get you and your friends are out of here” he said. Neville grabbed my hand and pulled me away from him.

“Don’t give him a chance to give you a detention – it’s not worth it” he told me.

“So what actually did happen?”

“He just tried a few spells on me – like your bat bogey hex, just that sort of stuff”

“Don’t worry – we’ll get him back” That morning Snape had announced that all associations will be cancelled and people that wish to keep their association needed to seek approval from him or the Carrow's. I laughed at his feeble attempts to reinforce Umbridge’s old rules and headed off to Charms.

“Alright class ... today we are learning Aguamenti – does anyone have any idea what this spell does?” Professor Flitwick asked us.

“Something to do with water” I said.

“Correct Miss Weasley” he said. “Five points to Gryffindor – Aguamenti shoots water from your wand. I have these extinguishable fires that I want you all to put out” he said. We all got up from our desks and spread out in the room. I never thought that I would but I missed Colin Creevey. We always used to sit next to each other in Charms and I was super glad that he finally put away his stupid camera because he used to take thousands of pictures of us. I put out a few fire’s and headed out of the classroom once the bell rang and headed back up to the common room.

That afternoon and left the common room alone and headed down to the Lake. I sat under mine and Harry’s favourite tree where we spent countless hours a few months ago. I used my bag as a pillow and lay down on the grass. I had no idea that I would miss him, Ron or Hermione this much. Harry had told me that he would always love me, always be there for me and broke up with me for my own safety. But part of me believed that that wasn’t the case anymore, that maybe he’d forgotten about me because he was so caught up in being some sort of hero. I smiled feebly to myself and watched the water. There was so much that I wanted to tell him, cry to him about, scream with him about. None of this compared to how much I wanted to laugh with him about something. To go back to the countless hours we spent on the lake or in the cosy common room. But none of that mattered anymore, that was all over, could be over forever, I had to prepare myself for that. I pulled out some ink, a quill and a piece of parchment.

Harry,

I never knew that I could miss someone this much. I’ve loved you since I was ten years old and seven years later here I am, still in love with you. I want you to know that I will wait for you, and when you finish this mission or whatever it is that you are doing, I’ll still be here, waiting. But just like you there are more important things in our lives at the moment. Unfortunately they need to be put first. Be safe Harry and give my best wishes to Ron and Hermione. Never forget that I will always love you.

Lots of Love
Ginny

I put my ink and quill back in my bag and sat up to re-read over my letter. It was the first time in a while that I had cried, big teary blotches formed over the page, destroying the letter. I took one last glance as it and walked over to the lakes edge and knelt down. I wanted to let the letter go, I was about to when I heard someone call my name.

“Ginny, what are you doing?” It was Neville walking down to me.

“Nothing” I said quickly wiping my eyes and folding the letter and placing it into my pocket. I walked back to my bag and slipped the note back in without him noticing.

“Seamus said that he saw you come down here – Are you ready for dinner?” he asked me.

“Yeah” I sniffed and walked past him not giving him eye contact.

“Are you alright?”

“Yeah, I’m fine” I lied heading back up to the castle slightly in front of him, hiding my blotchy face.

***

Neville came back looking really irritated. He sat down beside me and I put down my book to give him my fullest attention.

“What’s happened?” I asked him.

“The Carrow's happened!” he snapped. “They think that they can just run this school is push everyone around they have another thing coming” he snapped.

“What do you have in mind?” I asked.

“We need to take immediate action – I have a plan” I smiled and stood up with my hand curled around my wand.

“Let’s hear it”

“I want to leave another message” he said.

“I want to do something better than that” I scoffed. “We’ve wrote them three messages this year” I reasoned.

“But have you thought of where we’ve left them?” he asked me. I frowned.

“What do you mean?”

“Well the entrance hall is easy to access from everyone’s common room making it harder for the Carrow's to trace back to someone – I was thinking of leading them down to the dungeons”

“Down to the Slytherins” I said a little admiring. “Wait don’t you think that the Carrow's would see straight passed that? After all the Slytherins practically worship them” I asked him.

“Not from what I overheard today” I nodded.

“Alright – one more message, then we steal the sword of Gryffindor” I told him grabbing by book and sitting back down.

“Godric Gryffindors sword?” he asked shocked. “The one that’s locked in Snape’s office?”

“Sure is – Dumbledore left it to Harry in his will over the summer” I told him. “And we’re taking it and sending it to him”

“How?”

“Fred and George can help us out – We’re meeting them in Hogsmeade so take it”

“When did you sort this out with them?” he asked me.

“Tomorrow” I answered.

“You haven’t asked them yet?” he asked.

“Nope – but they will”

“How do you plan to get the Sword out of the castle?” Through the Secret Passage ways under the castle”

“Okay? What about Death Eaters and Dementors patrolling the exits?” he asked.

“You think I’m crazy don’t you?”

“No, Ginny I just think that you’re trying too hard” he answered.

“Excuse me for trying to help out Harry” I snapped.

“Don’t get angry at me” he said back. “You need to realise that Harry didn’t want you to go with him for a reason Ginny, a reason – you shouldn’t just ignore that”

“Where is this coming from?” I asked him annoyed. “I thought we were in this together, I thought our intentions were both the same?”

“They are – I just think that it’s a really bad idea”

“It’s not! And if you are too much of a chicken to help me – then don’t bother” I snapped leaving up for the dormitory.

Thanks for the reads so far. I would love some reviews to go with them if you have the time. =)
