Another disclaimer, JK Rowling does not belong to me, which is unfortunate but it was her incredible imagination which gave us the HP Universe.
The Dresses in the chapter image below, also do not belong to me. However, this is what I imagine the Bridesmaid dresses to be like, and so I hope that you'll like them as well.
Summary- “I don’t want to get married Ginny.” I pouted, as she handed me my dressing gown and I pulled it on as I stomped towards the en suite bathroom.
“Yes you do.” She soothed as she pushed me over the threshold of the bathroom.
“Alright, maybe I do.”
“Go away.” I whined, turning over and burying my head under the pillow of my bed. “I mean it go away!” I growled grumpily.
“Hermione, you need to get up.”
“No I don’t, it’s a Saturday, I’m not needed anywhere.”
“Erm... Hermione, sorry to burst your bubble.... but dress fittings.”
“Nooooooo!” I sobbed.
“And a hair and make-up trial this afternoon.”
“This cannot be happening.” I muttered murderously to myself from under my breath as I slung the covers off myself, turning over and swung my legs over the side.
“I’m going to go and make you a coffee.” Draco decided, leaving me in the room with Ginny.
“I don’t want to get married Ginny.” I pouted, as she handed me my dressing gown and I pulled it on as I stomped towards the en suite bathroom.
“Yes you do.” She soothed as she pushed me over the threshold of the bathroom.
“Alright, maybe I do.”
“I’m going to get your clothes ready, and I’ll be waiting for you downstairs with Draco.”
“Coffee.” I sighed, dreamily.
“Yes, and there’s going to be coffee.” She chuckled and closed the door behind me.
I huffed, blowing a strand of hair from my eyes, and began to disrobe. Sometimes, in the morning when you don’t want to wake up the promise of coffee is all that keeps you going.
Resignedly I walked into the shower, and turned it on full blast, wincing as it took the water a couple of moments to warm up. The only saving grace of that was that the icy burst of water woke me up further, which in turn made the warm water even more rewarding.
If I had to suffer dress fittings for my bridesmaids, and then later on my hair and makeup trial I was going to take my time with this shower, I didn’t care if I was late. If I had to, then I would use the age-old argument of- I’m the bride. I knew it wasn’t a guarantee, but I can hope for such miracles.
Sighing to myself, I picked up my shower gel, and poured it into my hands feeling the almost creamy substance run over my fingers before lathering it over my body. Suffering had to be countered by something after all.

“Ah, there you are- finally!” Ginny teased as I meandered into the kitchen, about 20minutes since I had been left alone to shower.
“Yes, well...” I shrugged and Ginny smiled sympathetically with understanding shining in her eyes as Draco handed me a coffee and a plate which had crumpets laden on it.
“I love you.”
“Were you saying that to me or to the crumpets and coffee?”
“You don’t want me to answer that.” I countered laughing as Draco pouted.
“Meanie.”
“Awww, see what I mean Ginny- he’s almost as bad as your brother when it comes to being pathetic!”
“I’ll say, come on Draco- aren’t you meant to be macho?”
“Hey, I
am macho, thank you very much.” He complained. “Anyway, whilst you lovely ladies are being preened I have to suffer my own fate worse than death, as I am being dragged to have everything sorted for our clothing.” He announced, before kissing me goodbye.
“Hope you have a better day than us!” I called as he went towards the living room.
“I second that motion!” Ginny yelled as well.
“Thanks!” Came his answer before we heard the fireplace ‘whoosh’ as he left.
“Well I think we should make the best of today.” Ginny suggested, as I turned back to her I realised she’d snagged a crumpet from my plate.
“Oi, you.”
“Hey, I’m the one who’s pregnant!” She countered and I shrugged, couldn’t argue with her.
“So what do you mean by- making the best of today?” I enquired as I took my own crumpet and bit into it, before believing I had died and floated up to the big place in the sky.
“I mean, that we actually pretend we’re enjoying ourselves, and then, just maybe, we will.” She smiled sweetly and I offered her another crumpet. “Thanks. So what do you think?”
“I think that this might just work.” I grinned back at her.

“Well that could have gone better.” I muttered to Ginny as we left the shop.
“I’ll say.”
“Could it have gone worse?” I wondered, thinking back to just moments before where we’d had one bridesmaid fall in her shoes from the stool which she had been placed on in order to get the hem line just right, and then had gone toppling into the clothes rail holding everyone else’s dresses, before that collided violently with Cho who then tripped over her dress which hadn’t been altered yet, and then fell over causing Victorie to trip over her.
“Not much worse I shouldn’t think, no.” Ginny consoled me.
“Great.” I answered sarcastically. “Remind me again whose plan it was to enjoy today as much as possible?”
“I think it was mine.” Ginny guiltily responded.
“Thought as much.”
“I promise never to make such a comment again.”
“I second that.” I murmured. “Urrrgh, and now we have a trial for hair and makeup.” I whined, despairingly leaning against the wall of the shop.
“Why? Why me?” I asked the heavens which looked dark and ominous.
“Well, I suppose we’d better get this over and done with.” Ginny stated resignedly, pulling me with her as we walked back into the shop in order to floo back to my house, where doubtless there would be someone waiting for us.
“Ah, there you two are. Now come along, we can’t be late!” My mother announced and stepped into the fireplace and promptly stated her destination and disappeared.
“After you.” I offered to Ginny who smiled reassuringly at me and followed suit. “Hopefully this is the worst of it.” I said aloud to myself, taking the floo power and went after them back home- which would normally be my sanctuary.
Apparently, not anymore.

“Wow.” Draco stated as walked into the kitchen just as I turned to put something in the sink. I looked at him, an eyebrow raised. “Can I just say, you look absolutely stunning.” He breathed walking over to me, and cradling my face in his hands before leaning down and kissing me tenderly on the lips.
Somehow, just his words made me feel better about the whole ordeal of my day.
“What’s wrong?” He asked me, pulling me across to the breakfast table where he leant against it as I hopped up onto its surface.
“What wasn’t going wrong today is more like it.” I sighed as he hugged me, our foreheads resting against each others.
“Tell me about it, then we’ll make dinner- I’ll let you take your vengeance out on the vegetables.” He joked and I couldn’t help but crack a smile at the comment.
I let out a long breath before starting everything that had happened; from the fiasco in the dress shop, to the disaster with the hairspray causing havoc with Ginny where upon she had to go outside for 10minutes as we aired out the room from all the fumes.
“Sounds like you had an interesting day then.”
“Yeah, just a little.” I smiled, somewhat sadly at him. “So I’m sorry if I don’t feel particularly ‘stunning’ tonight.”
“Well, I don’t care if you don’t feel particularly stunning, or that you’re not actually wearing any make-up and the only thing which is different about you is that your hair’s up, to me you are the most beautiful woman.”
“Thank you.” I blushed at him and kissed him again.
“I do have a question for you though.”
“Go on.”
“Do you still want to go through with this?”
“Draco, even if it isn’t going to be my perfect wedding day, I will be with you and we will be married by the end of it and that’s all that really matters to me, do you still want to go through with it?”
“Only so long as you do.”
“Then it’s a deal in 15days we’re going to get married.” I laughed and held my hand out for him to shake.
“Deal.” He grinned back and shook it.
Well I really, really hope that you’ve enjoyed this chapter because I have to admit I did absolutely adore writing this chapter!
This is the first to quite a few more adventurous chapters in the run up to their wedding, which I’m sure many of you will tell me that you’re really looking forwards to.
I also really hope that you like what I have chosen for the bridesmaids which is what the chapter image is. I haven’t found, as yet, the perfect flower girls dress but that will be posted again, as a chapter image, most likely in one of the chapters which is to do with the wedding itself.
A HUGE, HUGE, HUGE thank you must go to all of you absolutely wonderful, amazing, fantastic reviewers who take the time out to tell me what you think of it. Every last single one of the reviews really does mean so much to me, and so for those of you who I ended up taking an age to respond to- I really hope that you’ll forgive me.
Thank you also to all of you who have just read this story, the number of you who have done so astounds me, so thank you.
I really hope that you’re going to continue to enjoy the story as it progresses with its little twists and turns- which are most definitely on their way.
Ruth
