Hermione’s hands shook.
She was afraid to face her childhood enemy. She looked up expecting to see those menacing and intimidating blue eyes, but instead she found a surprised yet concerned look in his face instead of the usual sneer.
“Granger?” he asked “Hermione Granger?” She finally looked up at him.
“yeah,” She said “How’s it going Malfoy?”
About ten minuets later, Draco and Hermione were seated at Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlour. Hermione sat there staring at her melting ice cream while Draco sipped his coffee.
The heavy silence between the two was broken by the creaking of the chair legs as Hermione abruptly stood up and started toward the door.
“Were are you going?” Draco asked, “ you haven’t finished your ice crea-“ Hermione interrupted him.
“Look Malfoy, I’ve had a really bad day so I don’t need you making it any worse for me, so I think I should just leave.”
Draco put up his hands by his shoulders in a way of surrender. “Hey I’m just trying to be polite and have some ice cream and coffee with you. You’re the one freaking out”
Hermione sighed and sat back in her chair across from Draco. “I’m sorry, your right. I didn’t mean to be so rude.”
“If you don’t mind my asking, what is wrong anyways?” Draco asked with a curious tone in his voice.
Hermione thought to herself. Why dose he care anyway? Why would it matter to him? “Ron and I got into an argument and we..broke up. He was careless and selfish and I got sick of it.” Hermione looked down again, she was starting to feel tears well in her eyes.
“I’m sorry” Draco said in a more softened voice. “ Personally, I think Weasley is an idiot.”
Hermione chuckled, “Yeah I know you do. You always have.”
“No not like that” Draco said, then he grabbed one of Hermione’s hands and held it in his. “ I mean, he’s an idiot for screwing p his relationship and loosing an amazing woman like you.”
What Draco said surprised Hermione and she looked up at him. “Why are you being so nice to me anyway?”
Draco looked down at the table, “that was two years ago, and you might not believe it but, I’ve changed since then. From looking at you, I can tell that you have changed a lot too, Grown up I mean.
Hermione noticed looking at Draco, that he had changed a lot, she also had to admit he was actually kind of handsome.
Slowly, Hermione leaned forward so that their faces here only inches away. Draco hesitated, but did the same so they were even closer. Hermione knew they were about to kiss, but she couldn’t stop herself. She didn’t want to stop anyways.
But suddenly a faint beeping noise sounded from Draco’s wrist watch. With a regretful sigh, Draco released Hermione’s hand and leaned away…
Well hope you enjoyed it!!
