A/N: So I just read the seventh book again and really wanted to write a Dramione take on the Battle of Hogwarts, so I hope you like it!!
WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS!!
Hermione was racing along the corridors of Hogwarts followed closely by Ron who remembered that basilisk poison could destroy Horcruxes. Hermione slowed her pace and waited for Ron who had finally caught up to her.
“What’s the matter Hermione?”
“Um…Ron? Since you already know where the Chamber of Secrets is, do you mind if I go and do something really quick? I completely forgot about it.”
“Oh, okay…well see you later.” Ron waved and half-ran to Moaning Myrtle’s bathroom on the third floor. Hermione turned on her heel to find the person she was looking for.
Hermione rushed around corners and down stairs. She could hear the first signs of a battle about to begin. Finally, on the sixth floor corridor, she found who she had come to look for.
She rushed at him with full speed. Draco turned around to see who was coming towards him. He saw it was her and picked her up off her feet as she wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs around his torso. He spun her around with a goofy grin written upon his face. He dropped her and held her face softly and kissed her forehead. Hermione raised her eyes up to his and put her hand on his cheek.
“I’m so glad you’re okay Dray. So, after the guys and I left your house, Voldemort didn’t do anything to you, I mean at all?”
“Well, I have a few cuts and bruises, but, otherwise, I’m fine ‘Mi, no need to worry about me.” Draco smiled down at her and cupped her face in his hands. “I love you ‘Mi, let’s just hope we both get out of this alive. He lowered his lips to hers and kissed her tenderly.
“Dray, I missed you.” Hermione smiled lovingly up at her boyfriend of four years.
Draco sighed and said, “You have no idea all the pain I had to go through when my freaking stupid aunt Bella used the Cruciatis Curse on you.”
“Well, let’s hope we both don’t have to go through that kind of pain again.” Hermione grasped Draco’s hand and started to walk down the halls. “So…um…I wanted to talk to you about something. Um…well…I’m kinda sorta pre—“
Draco stopped abruptly before she could finish though and grasped his left forearm. Hermione looked at him with worry on her face.
“Draco, what’s wrong? Are you okay?”
“’Mi, it’s the Dark Lord he wants me. You want me to live right?” Hermione nodded her head quickly. “Okay, then I have to go to him. Just remember one thing Hermione.” Draco grabbed her face and brought her to him and kissed her with everything that he possessed. Hermione ran her hands up into her platinum blonde hair. She never wanted him to break away but he did. Then he spoke. “Just remember that I love you so much, just remember that okay?” He kissed her jawbone lightly and ran off in the opposite direction.
Hermione continued to stand where Draco had left her. She finally turned and walked to meet Ron on the third floor. She felt warm tears dripping from the corners of her eyes. She wasn’t looking where she was going and straight into Ron who dropped all his basilisk fangs.
“Hermione! Where’ve you been? I thought you were coming right back! But, man, you should’ve been there! I don’t know how I did it, but I spoke Parsel Ton—wow are you okay? You look kind of terrible. Have you been crying?”
Hermione quickly wiped the tears away from her face and put on the best smile she could muster.
“Yes Ronald, I’m fine. No need to worry. But, on the other hand—wow—I mean you actually spoke Parsel Tongue! That’s great! But, we should really find Harry, he’s probably wondering where we are.” Ron and Hermione continued to walk down the hall with their arms full of basilisk fangs. “So Hermione, you never mentioned where you ran off to,” said Ron with a big smirk glued to his face.
“Ronald, I don’t think this is the right time to talk about this. If you must know some details though, I was on the sixth floor.” Ron nodded and they walked on in silence.
Ron spotted Harry through the crowd of students trying to get to the tunnel in the Room of Requirement in order to get to the Hogshead to be able to apparate. “Harry!” Ron yelled, “Look, basilisk fangs they can—“
“Destroy Horcruxes…Ron you’re a genius!” Ron blushed scarlet and handed Harry the fangs.
“Oh, you guys, I know where the diadem is. It’s in the Room of Requirement. We need everyone out before we can go in. Remember where I hid the Prince’s potions book?” Rona and Hermione both nodded. “The diadem’s right on top of the chest that the book’s in. You two wait here. I’m gonna go in and make sure everyone is out.
Harry ran into the room just as Neville’s gran stepped out of the tunnel. Harry turned to Ginny who was standing I the middle of the room. “Ginny, I need you out of here, and I mean right now outta here.”
Ginny looked fully ecstatic with the thought. She planted a quick peck on Harry’s lips then bounced out of the room. Harry turned to watch her leave. “Hey, be careful okay?” Ginny nodded and ran out the door. Harry bounded after her. He found Hermione and Ron waiting outside.
“Okay, let’s do this.” Harry turned to the blank wall and thought, “I need a place to hide things,” over and over as he paced back and forth three times. A door had appeared before the threesome’s eyes.
