^ Sirius and Amelia :)

A/N: I'm back! And here's chapter 5 for you. I also have to disclaim that Frank's song comes from “Do The Hippogriff” in the fourth Harry Potter movie. The lyrics belong to Jarvis Cocker and anyone who owns the movie or rights or anything like that in any way because I in no way own it.

IT'S AN UPDATE!

:Last time:

James was instantly next to her, holding her. She buried her face in the crook of his neck and just cried. She cried for her lost relationship with her sister. She cried for the war that was raging around them. She cried for her loss of her childhood, something she hadn't known upset her until that moment. She cried for the life she could have lived and for the life she was living without her family. She cried for the new, strange feelings she held for James Potter. But mostly she cried because she had not cried in years. It was time that she released her grief.

James held her to him and let her cry. She seemed to feel safe in his arms, comforted. So he did not let her go until she was ready. After a few more minutes, her quiet sobs died and she looked up at him with her eyes rimmed in red. The color seemed to ironically match the green of her eyes, reminding him eerily of Christmas. She looked into his hazel eyes and suddenly felt herself lost in their depths, just as he was lost in her eyes every time he got a glance. She moved closer to him in his embrace and brought her lips gently to his. She smiled as she kissed him.

James pulled away from Lily's embrace slowly, cautiously parting their lips. The room was silent until Sirius wolf-whistled. Lily's smile didn't fade, but she did look extremely shocked at her own actions.

I just kissed James Potter. James Potter, she screamed inside her head. And I liked it!

“I'm sor-sorry, J-James,” she stuttered confusedly. “I, um, I don't know what I was thinking, really. It was the Firewhiskey.” She blurted out the last few words and everyone started laughing. Remus, Peter and Sirius were roaring with mirth. Alice and Amelia were both giggling and Frank was guffawing softly while patting a startled-looking James on the back. Lily laughed softly at her ridiculous excuse.

How many times had someone used that exact excuse to get out of something awkward or unexpected? James thought with a smirk. How many times have I used that excuse?

The laughter faded after a few minutes and Lily looked quite awkward and tense after acting so irrationally.

“I really am sorry, James,” she whispered softly.

“Don't fret about it. It really wasn't so bad.” He winked and Lily giggled. She couldn't help but question the drastic changes that their relationship was undergoing. They were friends. “Well, how about a little Truth or Dare everyone? Adding alcohol can only make it better, right? And it's Friday night so we don't have to worry about being hungover in class tomorrow!” The others agreed after some minor persuasion and the eight teenagers got into a circle, sitting on the red rug in front of the fire. “Do you guys wanna play the magical or Muggle way?” They all agreed to play the magical way, which meant dares had to be completed and truths had to be completely honest.

“I wanna go first!” Sirius exclaimed happily. “Evans, er, Lily, truth or dare?”

Lily gulped audibly and Sirius's smile widened evilly. “Truth,” she squeaked finally.

“Ah, I wanted to see some more action! Fine. Um, is Prongs a good kisser?” Every face turned to her and she felt herself blush.

“Um, yes?” she said after awhile and Sirius whooped, smacking James on the arm in apparent congratulations. When everyone had calmed down a little from Lily's declaration, Lily asked, “Is it my turn now?”

“Yeah,” Alice replied, sipping on her drink.

“Okay. Frank. Truth or dare?”

“Dare,” he answered hesitantly, eying the Marauders nervously even though Lily would be giving him his dare.

“I...er...” She turned desperately to Amelia who was sitting beside her. “What should I dare him to do?” she asked in a whisper.

“Whatever you like, Lils. It's your dare to come up with... Make it good, though.”

“I dare you to...strip to your underpants and run around the room singing something by that new band, The Weird Sisters.” Everyone in the room stared at her as she finished speaking. Her girl friends seemed incredulous. The Marauders were staring at her with apparent admiration and Frank looked like he had just swallowed a cockroach cluster.

“You're insane, aren't you?” he asked her, gulping and eyes wide.

“I think I may be, yeah,” Lily answered with a laugh.

“Well, get to it, Frankster. Haven't got all night, now do we? Wait, we do. But still, hurry it up. I need some entertainment,” Sirius bossed, barking a maniacal laugh.

Frank stood up slowly, his eyes trained on the wall as if he couldn't face the seven people staring at him. He shut his eyes and quickly stripped down to his boxers.

Merlin, help me, he thought desperately as he started to sing. “I only know a part of one of their songs... And I can't sing to save my life. 'Groove around like a scary ghost. Spooking himself the most. Shake your booty like a boggart in pain. Again and again and again. Get it on like an angry specter. Who's definitely out to get ya. Tap your feet like a leprechaun. Get it on, GET IT ON!'” He ended the song on a long, wailing note and everyone burst into laughter and applause, shaking hard from head to toe with each laugh.

“Well... I guess you weren't lying when you said you couldn't sing,” Sirius announced to Frank, sounding out of breath from laughing.

“Gee, thanks, mate,” Frank grimaced, slipping his shirt and pants back and and sitting down again next to Alice. Alice giggled and patted him on the shoulder to show her support.

“Ah, come on, don't be a baby, Frankie, dear,” Sirius smiled. “Oh! And it's your turn to truth or dare someone!”

“Right. Sirius.”

“What?” Sirius asked, looking up from downing his fifth glass of whiskey.

“I pick you, Black.” Sirius grinned at the challenge.

“Bring it on, Longbottom,” he taunted.

“Truth or dare?”

“I'm gonna shock everyone and go with a nice little truth.”

“Damn it! Fine, who do you fancy?” Sirius' grin faded instantly from his handsome face and he audibly gulped.

“Can I please change to dare?” He looked terrified.

“Let him switch,” Amelia said. Alice and Lily nodded. Sirius looked to Remus, James and Peter for back up as well.

“Yeah, one switch,” James commented.

“Do it, Frank,” Remus added.

“Yeah, one switch, do it, Frank,” Peter mimicked.

“All right, shut up, you lot. You can change to a dare, Sirius,” Frank conceded. Sirius relaxed at his words and let out the breath he had apparently been holding.

“Thanks, guys. And ladies. And you of course, Frank, for being such a nice, compassionate, fantastic, am–” Sirius was thankfully cut off from his wild and effervescent outpouring by Frank.

“I get it, Sirius! You're welcome! Now, for your dare. Hmm...I dare you to...kiss...Amelia.” Frank smiled evilly, showing his straight-teeth smile. He even went so far as to rub his hands together in a maniacal fashion.

“No way!” Sirius screamed immediately. “Not gonna fucking happen. Ever!”

“Merlin, Black, I'm not that bad! Gods, get over yourself, you little bitch!”

“Apparently some people are not very nice drunks when they're playing this game,” Lily stage-whispered as dramatically as a drunk girl could. She ended up giggling and falling backwards onto the carpet, laughing the entire time she fell.

“Chill out, you two!” Remus yelled and the sounds stopped as everyone turned to look at him, Lily rolling onto her side to see him properly. “Sirius do your dare and stop being rude about Amelia. Mel is gorgeous and you're being a jerk to her. Tell her your sorry and just kiss on the cheek, Padfoot. Merlin.”

“I'm sorry,” Sirius mumbled in the offended girl's direction.

“Right, of course you are,” Amelia snapped back at him nastily. “Cuz I'm so damn ugly, right? That it would be terrible to love me or even kiss me! I'm leaving!” She got up and slammed out of the door from the dorms with one last angry look at Sirius.

“Well, this ended...badly,” James commented weakly.

“Very badly,” Alice agreed, leaning on Frank. “I'm going after her. Please, take care of Lily.”

“I'm not a baby, Ali,” Lily hiccuped softly and started to giggle uncontrollably again.

“I know, Lils. But, please, just stay here and be good for the boys.” She kissed Frank briefly on the cheek and got up to follow her friend, giving one last wave to the room as she disappeared.

“My friends left,” Lily said, her giggling finally under control. “Why were you mean to Mel-Mel, Sirius? She's pretty.” Lily's drunken state of innocence seemed to leave Sirius speechless.

“I...I didn't mean to hurt her feelings. She's very pretty. I just, I just didn't want to kiss her,” Sirius whispered confusedly. “I'm sorry, Lily.”

“It's okay. James?”

“Yeah, Lily?”

“Will you take me to bed, James. I'm sleep–sleeply. I mean, I'm sleepy.” Lily yawned hugely and James nodded at her.

“Sure, come on, Sleepy Head.” He picked her up and carried her to her room. She curled into his body as he lofted her onto her bed and tucked her in. “Good night, Lily.”

“'Night, James,” Lily smiled. Lily turned over and was almost instantly asleep. James looked at her for a second before closing her bedroom door and heading back down the staircase to his friends.

“Lily okay?” Remus asked.

“Yeah, she fell asleep like that.” He snapped his fingers and sunk down onto the scarlet couch, placing a hand over his tired eyes. “Why don't you guys go back to your dorm. I wanna sleep.”

“Right, c'mon, Wormtail,” Remus said, standing and pulling the plump boy up with him.

“What about Padfoot?” Peter asked curiously.

“I'm staying with Prongs. Right, James?” he asked turning to his best friend.

“Right. Sure. G'night, guys.”

“Good night.” Remus and Peter left with Frank and Sirius sat down next to James, looking a bit forlorn.

“I'm sorry, Prongs. I'm so damn sorry.”

“Why, Padfoot? Why did you freak out like that?” He looked at his friend sadly.

“I don't really know. Can we talk about this another time?”

“Okay, mate. Let's go to bed. We'll have a very hung over Lily to deal with the morning.”

“Oh, how fun.” And with that the boys headed up to James' room to ponder what they had done and experienced that night as they fell into fitful sleeps.
