The Cullen family were all doing their usual thing that they normally do on a regular basis, as everyone was happy that Edward was going to attend school again not just wallow in self hate or something on those lines.
Everything was peaceful until Jasper seemed to be arguing with Hermione over something which was at that moment- very stupid, Hermione seemed to be full of venomous words as the two argued about something that no one else was listening to at all.
"She's human Hermione you could of los.." Jasper hissed at his baby sister who growled at him "I wouldn't of lost control Jasper, I was perfectly fine with her she hardly tempts me at all" she spat at him, the two continued to argue about her- Isabella Swan and many other things until it turned into a dangerous argument where the two kept screaming and shouting at each other even if they were vampires.
Alice and Edward had only just entered the living room wiith Carlisle and Esme who weren't far behind the two as all of the six Cullen members watched the two argue pretty nasty with each other, it almost tore Esme apart inside as she watched two of her children argue/fight with each other.
"Stop being so insenstive Hermione and think about this" shouted Jasper, as the two were growling and glaring at each other "I'm not insenstive at all JASPER! I have thought about this and it will work she's friendly, she doesn't think we are freaks" screeched Hermione, her voice was very high pitch and full of anger.
The two continued to argue for at least another thirty minutes until Carlisle told no demanded them to stop arguing and fighting at once, it was hurtfull to see his daughter and son argue with each other especially this bad it only had happened a few times before but they were only arguing about something that wasn't as argumentive and minor as this was.
Edward looked at his older brother and younger sister as he wanted to know why they were arguing so bad, it seemed to have spilt the two apart as Hermione stood leaning against the door frame while Jasper was stood by Alice near the windows "Why are you arguing" Esme asked softly to them both, of course the two never answered just glared at each other.
It was unusual for any of them to ignore Esme's questions as they knew she was trying to protect her children even if they weren't blood related also they knew that she wanted to help, Carlisle looked at both of them waiting for one of them to answer but Hermione kept her lips sealed as she supressed a growl.
So Jasper decided to explain in short simple sentences he was angry at Hermione and she was angry at him, the two seemed not to even want to talk like brother and sister all they did was glare.
"Jasper, Hermione please talk to each other" Esme begged, her voice full of maternal love and pain, "Not until he/she apologises" snarled Jasper and Hermione at the same time, the rest of the family knew they would have to solve there own problems between them.
"Mom, leave them be until they have calmed down please" Edward said in his calm silky voice looking at his mother who nodded, the six Cullen's decided to leave the two alone and do there own things even though it hurt Alice to see Hermione and Jasper argue like that it hurt all of them.
"It'll be sunny at the weekend" Alice whispered to Carlisle who nodded, as they all needed to hunt soon "we will go hunting on Friday Alice" Carlisle said gently as he watched Hermione and Jasper who simply ignored everyone including each other it was very tense.
Emmett and Rosalie were talking quietly to each other "Jazz you need to say something to her" hissed Rosalie at her twin brother who looked at her silently "No" hissed Jasper his voice full of anger, Emmett sighed and his face scrunched up slightly "Bro... Sis...you both have to apologise to each other please it'll only make it harder for all of us!" Emmett exclaimed after twenty minutes of silence between all of the family.
"No" Hermione hissed, who was sat in the very far corner facing the wall they all looked at her even Jasper but he still never said one word to Hermione at all "Why not" Alice shrieked at the two, Jasper winced at his wife's tone.
"Because" snarled Hermione at her sister nastily which made Jasper growl at her and jump up she turned around facing Jasper "dont you" hissed Jasper "don't tell me what to do Whitlock" spat Hermione this was worse than any other arguments between the family this time it was very personal.
They continued to banter all through the night, Hermione had gone hunting for a few hours as Jasper stayed inside the house only four Cullen members would be attending school that day, since the two had refused to speak another word to each other.
Alice had seen both of them deciding on what they should do, if they should leave and never come back or just simply ignore each other for the rest of the time the Cullen family would be in Forks and that was a very very very long time away.
It broke Carlisle and Esme's hearts to see their younger daughter and their older son fight between each other especially since this was worse Alice had started to shriek and the two appeared to where she was.
"Whats wrong honey" Esme asked very concerned for her second daughter's well being "Hermione might leave or... she and Jasper will continue to ignore each other for the rest of the time we spend in this town..Ma" whispered Alice, Esme wrapped her arms around her daughter comforting her.
"It might not happen Alice" Edward stated who had appeared in the doorway, Carlisle looked at his first son wondering what thoughts the whole family were having "Jasper isn't so certain to leave the family Dad but Hermione is" whispered Edward "then we have to let them decide it is there choice Edward" Carlisle declared they all knew he didn't want to say it. but it was very true.
When Hermione came back, Esme engulfed her into a huge hug whispering comforting words to her as she stared straight at Carlisle a sad expression on her face "I'm leaving for a short while, don't blame this on Jasper it is both of us that are at fault I promise I will come back and I will stick to our families diet" mumbled Hermione who sounded upset but thought and knew it was the right decision to make..
Edward was angry at his sister "You persuaded me not to leave and to attend school You CANNOT do this sister" who was staring straight at her when she said it she flinched slightly but shook her head "I want to leave Edward, you were going to run away I'll be back I don't know when or where or how but I will I promise you, our whole family that I will" seethed Hermione her tone wasn't angry but calm and upset.
When in the end Carlisle was disappointed with himself but had to agree with Hermione's choice as did the rest of them including Jasper who only nodded and she nodded back, the rest of the Cullen's- part from Carlisle and Esme went to school relucantly as they had to go.
Bella Swan soon noticed that something was wrong when only Edward's Volvo arrived at school she was very concerned about the fact Hermione never showed up, Jasper seemed to have a hurtful expression on his face continueous through out the whole entire school day. (A/N: Sorry about Bella only having a small part in this chapter but in the next one she will have more 'scenes' and find out more)
Hermione had said her goodbyes to her parents Carlisle and Esme before she set off in Edward's Aston Martin V12 Vanquish they knew she was going to spend some time up in Alaska then go to Isle Esme which Esme agreed to let her use it.
When the Cullen kids came home that evening, they had knew straight away Hermione had left she called them twice to tell them that she was fine and had only met three passing nomadic vampires who didn't really notice her at all.
Jasper was very upset with himself and blamed himself for the whole of that night even though all of the Cullen's especially his wife Alice told him not to as it was Hermione's decision it had shocked them all that she had left but she would come back in about two to three months as Alice had seen her come back before Rose and Emmett had graduated which they were slightly happy about....
