A/N- The first chapter, yay! The most of the stuff  in here belong to JKR, and Grimm's fairytales belong to the Grimm brothers. Enjoy, and please review!

“But mommyyyy I want to go shopping with youuuu.” whined Rose as Harry picked up her bag and held out his hand for Rose.

“But don't you want to go play with your cousins?” I asked, trying not to sound annoyed. “You and Al planned this play date a long time ago, don't you want to go play?”

“Daddy.” Rose said, turning to Ron. “I want to go shopping, daddy.” She pulled her puppy dog face, and I knew it was all over. Ron always fell for the puppy dog face.

“Welllll...” he said, turning to me, as if he were begging to. Thankfully, Harry intervened.

“Aunt Ginny made cookies for you guys. Wouldn't you rather...” Harry was cut off by a loud squeal.

“Cookies!!!” Rose ran to Harry and started tugging on his hand. “Come on, before Al and Jamie eat them all, hurry!” Rose loves Ginny's cookies. I mouthed a thanks to Harry, and then he turned and apparated to his house, taking a very excited Rose with him.

“That was close.” Ron said, turning to me. “C'mon Hermione, lets go.”

“Just let me get my purse real quick.” I said. After grabbing my purse from the kitchen, we apparated to Diagon Alley. The alley was busy, as always, and instead of dragging a reluctant Ron around, I let him go over to the Leaky Cauldron while I did the shopping.

“I'll be back at three, be ready to go!” I shouted to Ron through the crowds as he walked away.

“Okay!” he called back. He always spent way too long sitting in the pub, drinking and talking.

I got all my shopping done at two-thirty. Knowing Ron would be upset if I got there early, I decided to kill a little time at Ink and Pen. Ink and Pen was a little bookstore near Ollivander's that sold Muggle and Wizard books. It was by far my favorite store in the Alley. It was a quiet, comfortable place.

I opened the door to Ink and Pen, and was overcome by the smell of cinnamon and old books.

“Hermione!” the store owner exclaimed as he walked up to shake my hand. I had been there so often, we knew each other by name. “Long time no see! Where my little Rose today?” He had a soft spot for Rose. He proclaimed her a little angel, and always had a licorice wand for her when she came.

“She went to go play with her cousins today.” I said, “but I'll tell her you said hi” He smiled and thanked me, then walked back over to the counter. I started browsing through the books. I soon found myself looking at Muggle fairy tales. “Sleeping Beauty”, “Snow White”, “Hansel and Gretel”, all stories I remember my mother telling me when I was little. On an impulse, I picked up a book of Grimm's Fairy tales. Rosie was only four, but I was sure she would enjoy them.

I took the book to the counter and the shopkeeper rang it up.

“Grimm's Fairy tales, a classic,” he said, giving me a smile. “Seven sickles. Oh, and give this to Rosie for me.” He reached under the counter and pulled out a licorice wand.

“Thanks, Phil” I said as I gave him my money and took the candy and the book, “I'll make sure she gets it. Bye!” I left the shop and ended up making it to the Leaky Cauldron a few minutes after three. Ron, of course, was still talking to the barkeeper when I walked in. Five minutes later, Ron had said goodbye to everyone, and we had apparated back home. We unpacked everything I had bought, and since Rose wasn't going to be back for a while, Ron grabbed her book of fairy tales and called me over.

“Whats this?” he asked, flipping to the Table of Contents, “Rapunzel? Cinderella? These sound like diseases, not fairy tales.”

“Nonsense, Ron, they're all fairy tales, like this one,” I said turning to the first page. Suddenly everything started spinning and lights started flashing. “Ron!” I called out. I felt and hand grasp mine, and suddenly, we were falling.....
