It was a dark midnight in June. There was nothing moving in the dark forest. The tree's were grown so thickly and so close together it was like a gnarled mass of dark stumps and leaves. There was a strong smell of wet, damp, and decaying trees and leaves. There was no movement except for the rustling of leaves from years passed. no light shined not even the stars or moon got through the densly populated forest trees branches.
A pale slim girl woke up looking around she found herself in unfamiliar surroundings. she looked around her pale grey eyes trying to adjust to the pitch black of the forest leaves crunched under her hands as she pushed herself up from the ground. It was as she was standing up that she noticed a small glint on the ground walking over shakily she felt weak and could barely comprehend what was going on she grabbed the silver ring that had markings around a stone and it was square. she put it in her pocket not sure why she wanted to even keep it. It wasn't hers. She however felt it was important that it would come in handy someday or somthing crazy like that. She made her way north soon stumbling out of the forest. She had cuts and bruises from stumbling through the forests sharp brances had caught her somtimes. When finally got out of it, she saw a hut and headed over it passing out infront of the door her arm outstretched her head landing on it she had been about to knock. She landed with a soft thud.
Harry, Ginny, Ron, Hermoine, Neville, and Luna Lovegood were talking to Hagrid after the war they decided to finish up there last year of school.(Mostly with convincing from Hermione saying 'You should get jobs based on how you did in school. Not just because you defeated or helped defeat the most evil wizard alive.") They were currently talking about there homework when they heard a thud outside. Harry being closest to the door quickly opend it to see if it was fang wanting inside or somthing. When he looked down pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose as he did so. When he saw her she had dirty what must have been raven black hair but it was tangled she had white skin, it was coverd in scratches dirt and bruises. She reminded him of a vampire he stood there stunned. Hagrid was the first to act. Pushing Harry out of the way; Harry because of this hit the side wall pretty hard he probably got a bruise from it but he didn't mind Hagrid didn't know his own strength. He watched as the half-giant picked up the young what looked to be about 17 or 18 years old around his and his freinds age.They all quickly ran up to the castle toward the hospital wing.
"Merlin Hagrid!" Madam Pomfrey had sent Filtch for MaGonagall the headmistress. She was walking around hurridly getting several diffrent potions for the girl that was now laid on the bed. She hurried the boys out shooing them but kept Hermione Ginny and Luna to help her get her into clean spare pj's she had. They changed her into some spare pj's and madam pomfrey poured the diffrent potions down the girl's throat she was so pale she thought she was dealing with a vampire at first but realized she wasn't it was probably from lack of sun. The girls went outside the door with the boys tell Magonagall came in and went inside.
"Who do you think she is Minerva?" Madame Pomfrey asked gently.
"I don't know. We will have to wait for her to wake up."She replied with a solemn and worried note.
Meanwhile outside the small group of witches and wizards were discussing heatedly of what she would be doing at this hour and how she could have gotten in. As well as more importantly who she might be.
"She has to be a witch" whispeard Hermione. A muggle couldn't have gotten in here.'
Luna and the others nodded in agreement but she had her own veiw as well "She could be a snarflax." A what? "her boyfreind Neville looked at her curiously. "The're rare mysticle women but there normally found in the artic.' They all knew by now not to take her to seriously but any idea was a good one now at this point.
Over the next two weeks they visited to check up on the progress. It was then that she started to open her eyes.
*She opend her eyes slowly, she lifted her arm to cover her eyes to cut out the sudden bright light that landed in her eyes. She blinked her pale grey ones adjusting quickly she looked around.* Merlin your awake finally you ok dear? *She looked toward the woman that spoke she was elderly and had on a weird white hat she giggled. She saw another woman that had green robes . "Who are you?" She asked the women quietly her voice cracked from the dryness. I'm Madame pomfrey the nurse here at hogwarts. here you must be thristy. she handed her some pumpikin juice. The girl drank it quickly. What is this? She asked curiously at the sweet liquid having never that she knew of tasted somthing like this. Pumpkin juice dear. I'm MaGonagall said the more stern looking woman. who are you dear? and how did you get here?
"I don't know who I am madam...were I am...Or even were I came from...were am I ?"She asked shaikly she was confused and a lil bit scared wakeing up agian to somewere she didn't know. whats worse is she didn't know why she didn't know anything in the first place.
"She must have amnesia Minerva Madam Pomfrey whisperd to the other woman." Yes..Well nothing we can do but help her adjust and hope her memory returns soon. I'll explain to her were she is. 'Your in hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. in the hospital wing.
Witchcraft and Wizardry? *She asked quietly she did have a wand on her it was on the table now but she thought it was just a stick.* Yes. I'll go Enroll her Madam Pomfry let the other kids in she could use some company her own age and they can keep an eye on her.
The other's walked in after the one teacher had left. "Who are you ? She asked them she curiously sat on her legs cruious now she walked closer to the edge and held out her hand. Hi I don't have a name but whats yours? They all blinked confused at the girls attitued but shook her hand introducing themselves.

*She shook there hands polietly in turn.* So you are all students here? *They all nodded respectivly. I see. The one named Professer MaGonagall said I'm to start school here tomarrow...after i'm sorted...she smiled brightly. Can you all do me one tiny litte favor?
Yes? Ginny sat infront of her handing the girl a sandwich she snuck in for her wich she ate gratefully. Could you all..if its not to much trouble...give me a name?...I don't think you guys can keep saying hey you or that one girl . Luna spoke up I have the perfect name for you. Memory.. I love that name. *Memory smiled. * Memory I like it to. She giggled at the irony sense she had no memories.
Little did she and the others know there was someone watching them through a window a shadow that spoke into the night.
Be happy why you can..little witchling , I am waiting ..and i'm watching...you wont be safe for long and that memory of yours can't keep you safe forever you will lead me to the others. you'll find them. and i'll take them.. you belong to us.
The shadow of black smoke vanished.
(Please reveiw this is my first story, any constructive or usefull critizism would be nice. weather what point of veiw how I write or what I can do to make it better. this is just the first chapter but it gets better i promise! this story has been re-writen hopefully the grammercle errors are all gone now.)
