A/N Sooo...I'm finally putting up chapter images(: yay!! I realize that she's not on a ship in this story, but her emotions are right and the ship could symbalize something in the future....

Enjoy!! :D

"Ron, Ron, it's okay, just tell me what's going on. I know that, whatever this is, we can get through it! We've fought in a war for crying out loud! A war against Voldemort! Whatever this is, it can't be as bad as that!"

He remained silent for a moment.

"I’m so sorry, Hermione!" He repeated, not bothering to listen to what to Hermione just said…or at least if he had listened he did not take it into consideration. It was definitely starting to get under her skin that all he would say was 'I'm sorry.' and not bothering to tell her what in the world he was so sorry for.

"Ron, what happened? What did you do?" Hermione exasperatedly asked, her rather bushy brunette hair now a disorganized mess atop her head instead of the messy bun it had been when she had arrived at the ministry that morning, blissfully unaware of the drama that lay so close.

Ron looked back up into her questioning brown eyes and as soon as his brown eyes met hers, he took a rather deep breath, clearly in no hurry to spit out whatever it was that he needed to apologize for. "Hermione, I'm sorry," even though he did not drop his gaze for even a split second, he shook his head from side to said, "I promise you, I wish that I could take it back, take it ALL back! I promise you that! I would take it all back f only I had the chance too!," He buried his face in his hands for a few seconds before once again dropping them onto his rather official looking desk as they previously were "This was never supposed to happen!"

He looked back up and let their eyes meet once more, his full off genuine, complete sorrow.

"" She was near hysterics at this point.

Whatever it was, it could not possible be that bad, right? They'd fought off Voldemort, the dark Lord, who had killled hundreds of innocent people, they can handle this little hundred pound curly haired bimbo.

"I," Before he got a chance to continue, Lavender Brown rushed into the room, again, looking extremely annoyed. But not just annoyed because no one was paying attention to her, but more of an annoyance towards Ron…for whatever reason.

It was VERY obvious that whatever it was, she wanted his to spit it out.

Her vibrant green eyes sparkled with deviousness.

"Oh, for Merlin's sake!" She exclaimed, throwing her tiny, skeleton like arms into the air with a HUGE sigh.

"What he's TRYING to say is that I'm pregnant and…it's his baby." She looked rather pleased with herself.

Hermione stood there, her breath caught in her dainty throat, completely out of breath and at a loss for words.

Ron looked at Lavender in complete and utter disbelief.

"Well…you were not saying anything." She smiled and giggled.

"Why'd you do that?!" Ron gasped.

She giggled, "Well, she was going to find out anyway, and you were clearly not about to speak up. Umm...I'm sorry...umm.. please. I did you a favor.

She took one last look at the completely dumbstruck Hermione before, with a satisfied giggle disapparated out of the ministry.

For several long, painfully awkward minutes, with so much tension that you could cut it with a knife, they stayed like that, Hermione speechless, not a single word being able to cross her tiny lips for the first time in all of her twenty one years of life.

Finally, she found her voice and eventually the courage to speak.

"Ron," She spoke so quietly, it was nearly impossible to make out what she was saying.

He looked up into her untrusting eyes, without a single syllable crossing his lips.

"…Please. Please. PLEASE tell me it's not true." She continued, tears filling her chocolate brown eyes.

He just dropped his gaze to the floor and at that moment she knew that Lavender was not lying, this was telling the truth. This was really happening.

This was truly something out of some horror movie.

The tears that had been building steadily in her eyes, fell to the floor, slowly trickling off of her face…more and more tears falling until she almost had a waterfall falling from her pretty face.

She felt her heart shatter into a million pieces. It was as if all the life had been sucked out of her, her reason for existing gone. It felt as if some one had ripped her heart out of her chest and stomped it in to the dirt in right front of her helpless face. She felt the rush of a thousand heartbreaks all at one single moment in time. She had never felt pain like this before.

She had not felt this much pain even when she was put under the cruiciartis curse by Bellatrix Lestrange a few years ago.

Tears streamed from her eyes uncontrollably.

"Hermione I," she immediately cut him off.

"How could you!" She screeched at the man who'd just shattered her heart.

"Hermione, I had no idea that this was going to happen! "

"How could you cheat on me? How could you?!" Her frizzy hair was now even worse than it was a few moments ago, a complete brunette disarray atop her tiny, pixie like head.

"I,…I" he stopped for a few seconds to gather his thoughts before continuing. " I didn’t mean to!"

She gave him a look that said do-I-look-stupid-to-you?

"I didn’t! We just met up at a pub and we caught up for a while and, you and I had just had a HUGE fight and I was upset, so I'd been drinking…A LOT and then we just…got carried away! It was a mistake and it was stupid and I am just so very sorry!"

"I trusted you." Hermione spat out. Her hurt quickly turn resentment and anger.

Another silver tear slowly trickled down her cheek.

"I know," was all he said.

"You betrayed me." It was just a statement. Not a question or a comment.

"I’m sorry…It was a mistake!" He knew that if he was not careful, he would lose her forever.

"No, the mistake was believing that you would always be there for me. The mistake was giving you my heart. Those are the stupid mistakes Ronald Weasley!."

Before either of them could say…err…shout any thing else they were interrupted by a third person's voice.

"Sorry, to break up this little argument, but, what in the world is going on in here?!"

A confused Harry Potter was now standing In the doorway, waiting expectantly for an answer from one of his two best friends.

"Not now Harry!" Hermione screamed before turning back to Ron once more.

"Hermione I," she cut him off.

"Save it. I do not care to hear it!"

Ron looked thoroughly confused, Hermione had never given in to an argument before in all of her life.

"So…are we…ok?"

Hermione looked at her insanely ignorant fiancé with a look of utter disbelief.

Was he really, genuinely, that stupid?

Without a word she looked down to the glinting engagement ring on her fourth finger. She gently slid it off of her finger, twirling it around in her nimble fingers, looking at it. This was the first time she'd taken it off since the night he'd proposed, and she felt weird without if being on her finger.

Ron looked completely, and utterly horrified.

Harry was thoroughly confused.

"Ron," Hermione slowly began her speech that she had quickly put together in her head.

"…when you gave me this ring, you made several promises to me and now each and every one of those promises are broken."

She dropped the ring into his open hand before clenching his fingers tightly around it. He stared at her in disbelief, unable to believe what was happening.

"I love you, Ron."

"I love you, too."

"But, its over."

"Hermione, please! I don’t care, whatever I can do, ill do it, just please stay!" He begged, he was losing her, and he knew it. What had he done?

Tears were, once again, streaming from her eyes.

"Goodbye Ron."

She turned to go, but he gently grabbed her arm and made her spin around and face him.

"Hermione, I'm so sorry! I'll change, I'll fix it! Anything! As long as you. Do. Not. Go!"

He was getting desperate to stop her.

"Ron, you can NOT fix this! This is it. It's over. We're over."

"I...." but he didn't get to finish the sentence which had no chance of making her change her mind.

And just like that, she apparated out of the ministry leaving a horrified and completely heartbroken Ron and a confused Harry standing in the tiny room.

Ron looked completely dumbstruck.

"What was all that about?" Harry asked, completely lost.

"Lavender's pregnant...oh and it's my baby." He growled, slouching down in his chair and putting his head in his shaking hands.

Harry's green eyes widened, then he just glared at Ron.
